YOU DON’T NEED VIAGRA OR CIALIS TO BE READY ANYTIME
CATEGORY: 3: Blockage
RECOMMENDED SUPPLEMENT: Lecithin
One caveat with this blog is that the therapy will work if the problems are indeed physical, and caused by a slowdown of blood flow to the penis. It won’t work if the problems are psychological, in your head—like maybe you don’t like your partner so much anymore, or you lost a bundle in a bad investment and aren’t feeling very sexy at this time.
On the other hand, if you have trouble performing when you really want to, that can mess with your mind and cause its own set of psychological problems, even though the cause is truly physical. For that reason, let’s start by assuming the problem is physical for now, and that Lecithin can help you. A few men will notice improvement the same day they start Lecithin therapy. Some within 72 hours of regular use. For others it could take as much as 21 to 30 days of regular use. But it will work. If it’s physical, and there isn’t some other profound medical problem going on.
The most common reason for an inability to achieve and hold on to an erection is a blockage in the blood vessels inside the penis. An erection is all about blood flow—into, and out of, the penis. The more blood flowing into the penis the more rigid will be the erection. The more constricted the blood flow, the limper will be the penis. If not enough blood gets into the penis in time, or if too much blood flows out of it too soon, full erection is not possible to achieve or maintain.
All that the common medications do is cause more blood to flow into the penis and to be held there. Sometimes for too long past arousal, and hence the four hour erection warning. But Lecithin can do this naturally, so you don’t have to worry about drug side effects or being ready at the right moment. You will be ready whenever you want to be. You may even experience spontaneous erections for no reason as men do when they’re fairly young.
Tip: Penis Size: Men make a big deal about penis size. There are all sorts of tongue-in-cheek references in movies, TV, and books, to the point that the “size matters” allusion has entered the popular lexicon. I have news for guys. Even though orgasm and ejaculation are possible without a full erection, all the women I’ve ever talked to care less about size and more about the erection. To most women, the strength of the erection is far more important than the size of the penis. If it’s small but hard, you can make your partner happy. If it’s large but limp, they won’t be nearly as impressed. Size doesn’t matter, but hardness does. |
WHAT HAPPENS INSIDE YOUR BODY TO CAUSE AN ERECTION
When you are sexually stimulated, physically or psychologically, the brain sends messages to your penis that relax the smooth muscles in and around the blood vessel walls of the corpus cavernosum, causing them to open wider and fill with blood. It is this increased blood flow that gets the penis to harden and enlarge.
Definition: Corpus Cavernosum: The inner shaft of the penis is divided into two side-by-side erectile tunnels. Together they make up the corpus cavernosum. Inside both tunnels is a spongy tissue that consists of smooth muscle and lots of blood vessels. It is these blood vessels that are responsible for creating an erection. They determine whether the erection is strong or weak, based on the amount of blood they receive and hold on to. |
At the same time the blood vessels in the penis are filling up, the veins that carry blood away from the penis shut down, causing an increase in blood pressure that swells the penis and traps blood there. It is this trapped blood that keeps the penis hard and erect.
If the blood vessel walls in the penis become blocked with plaque and other organic debris, blood can’t get inside, and you won’t be able to have a full erection. The blood vessels in the penis are part of your body’s complex arterial system. That same system feeds your brain and heart and stomach—all parts of you. A blockage in brain arteries will lead to stroke and or Alzheimer’s. A blockage in the arteries feeding the heart will lead to angina and or heart attack. A blockage in stomach arteries will lead to incredible pain and digestion problems. And a blockage in the blood vessels of the penis will prevent full, or even any erection.
That’s why you find men with heart disease, Alzheimer’s, or other blockage disorders, who also can’t achieve erection. It’s not because the disease is causing the failure, but that all the conditions stem from the same cause—blockages within a closed arterial system. Problems getting and maintaining an erection also have little to do with age. Men are told that their reactions will take longer as they age. But this is true only because the older a man’s body gets, the more time has passed in which blockages can begin, accumulate, and decrease blood flow to the penis.
If you can eliminate the blockages preventing full and unfettered blood flow to the penis, you will eliminate most erectile dysfunction.
HOW DO BLOCKAGES FORM IN THE BODY?
When you eat something your body has trouble processing, like a double bacon cheeseburger with extra mayo, French fries, onion rings, and a deep fried Snickers bar, without also providing it with an emulsifier, it stores the left over gunk it can’t get rid of in all sorts of inner nooks and crannies. Just like you do in real life. But instead of a drawer, closet or garage, the body stores it in a number of places, including the arteries in your penis.
Blockages are a whole separate category of diseases unto themselves in my paradigm of wellness. Looking in from the outside, we may call it erectile dysfunction, but it’s actually a blockage masquerading as erectile dysfunction. It could also “pretend” to be Alzheimer’s, heart disease, lung congestion, or a stiff elbow joint. Your arterial pathways have to be kept clear or you will be at risk for many blockage diseases besides erectile dysfunction. But all of the blockage disorders, including erectile dysfunction can be treated successfully with Lecithin.
USING THE EMULSIFYING POWERS OF LECITHIN TO ENSURE FULL ERECTIONS WHENEVER AROUSAL IS PRESENT
Lecithin is a natural substance extracted from soybean oil. It is known to be safe, and has been used in our food supply since the early 1900’s. Take a look in your cabinets at the boxes, jars, cans, and bottles there. Lecithin is used as an ingredient in countless foods and cosmetics, because of its ability to emulsify, stabilize, thicken, and moisturize. It also has great suspension qualities.
Without Lecithin, when you opened a box of biscuit mix, it wouldn’t come out in a nice powdery stream, but would plop into your bowl with clumps. Without Lecithin, facial moisturizer wouldn’t be creamy and smooth, but would show the oils coagulated and greasy. Without Lecithin, mayonnaise would be a congealed mess, unspreadable. Likewise, peanut butter. Lecithin is what keeps ingredients in suspension, as a mixture, and keeps the oils from separating from the other ingredients.
It’s Lecithin’s ability to keep organic particles in suspension—and to break up those that have hardened into plaque—that makes it such a valuable food supplement. It does the same thing in your body as it does in the food container: keeps organic particles suspended, not allowing them to clump together. Each Lecithin molecule binds with an organic molecule and prevents it from joining with other similar molecules, by holding it in suspension while it travels through your body and is expelled. Without sufficient Lecithin in your system, oils, fats, and other organic compounds can clump together, solidify, clog up and cause blockages in vital areas, like the penis.
While Lecithin prevents blockages in the arteries that prevent sufficient blood flow from getting into the penis, two other supplements are important and should be added to the Lecithin therapy.
First is Rutin, one of the elements of the Vitamin C Complex. If you’re having problems getting full erections, you have to worry not only about blood getting into the penis, which Lecithin will solve, but also that it doesn’t leave the penis until you are finished. Rutin will strengthen the walls of the entire arterial system, including the veins that are supposed to shut down and trap blood in the penile blood vessels. If these vein walls are weak they can’t trap the blood, which will flow out of the penis prematurely, causing a loss of erection despite sufficient blood flow in.
Second is Gingko Biloba, an herb and a mild but effective natural blood thinner. It will help more blood get through the blockages while Lecithin is cleaning them out.

NOTES
► When you use Lecithin regularly, in the beginning you will notice other things happening because of its emulsifying abilities. It will clean out not just the arteries in the penis, but throughout the entire arterial system. You may notice that you are coughing up and blowing out of your nose a lot more mucous than usual, because that is one of the body’s channels for getting rid of waste. This is happening because Lecithin is breaking up blockages and causing the wastes to be expelled. This is a good sign and after a while, as more and more organic debris is cleaned out of your body this will end.
► I have recommended Puritan’s Pride brand because their Lecithin is from soybeans only, and contains a minimum of 732 mg of phosphatides in each 1200 mg softgel, equivalent to 61 percent phosphatides. The value of a Lecithin product is determined by the percentage of phosphatides it contains, because they activate the emulsifying process in your body. You may use another brand but make sure it conforms to or exceeds these specifications or it will not work.
► Lecithin Granules are best used in blender drinks and sprinkled on salads, fresh cut fruit, and cereals. Make sure to consume it uncooked, in its natural state. One heaping tablespoon is equal to six softgels. You can’t take too much, so feel free to use additional amounts liberally.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
► Ginkgo Biloba is an effective natural blood thinner. If you are on a prescription blood thinner, like Coumadin, know that Ginkgo Biloba will duplicate your prescription medication.

Lynn, this worked amazingly for me, until I got diabetes type 2. It came to a dead stop. My sex life was unbelievable before this with your protocol. I can’t get an erection and when I do it’s weak. Before the diabetes it was like I was a kid again.
Hi Michael,
I’m sorry to hear the treatment no longer works with your diabetes protocol. Try reading Blog 13 on type 2: https://lynncapehartwellness.com/2011/05/06/blog-13-type-2-diabetes-2/ Cut and paste the link into your browser.
The simplest solution is for you to get the diabetes under control. Then things could go back to normal. It’s a result of poor eating habits and you can easily fix that.
Also check that you aren’t using a med that has a side effect that causes ED.
Keep in touch, Lynn
I want people to know how well this works. Thank you Lynn, you are a godsend. I have a question. Can lecithin be bad for the kidneys?
Hi Michael,
I’m glad it worked for your ED. Why don’t you write a comment at the bottom of the blog so others can read it too. No, lecithin is not bad for kidneys or any other part of your body. It is one of the most protective supplements you can take.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn,
Thanks for all of your help with my below questions. I’ll follow your advice and post back to let you know how it turns out.
Can Rutin also reduce the size of the veins along the penis from performing various penis stretching exercises?
I appreciate all of your help.
John
Hi John,
Rutin will tighten and reduce all arterial system walls. It stops rosacea, hemorrhoids, bleeding gums, nose bleeds, internal bleeding, and helps with ED by holding blood in the penis to maintain an erection until the act is over.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn,
Thanks for the fantastic information with overcoming many problems faced by all of us.
I’m currently suffering (long time) from low libido, no sexual mood, ED (getting an erection to maintaining an erection), and premature ejaculation. I must add that this has affected me in a bad way mentally as well as I start to question myself as a man.
My partner understand but it weighs on me heavily.
Im in my thirties and have had all of the relevant blood work and everything appears normal (testosterone and thyroid on the lower side but still within the normal limits).
I went to a specialist and found that I have venous leak and had a cavernosogram to block the leaky veins through venous embolisation. Unfortunately, this was unsuccessful. 😦
The interventional radiologist mentioned that this could have been hereditary. I thought that I may have damaged my penis through aggressive masturbation or penis stretching (known as jelqing).
My penis feels numb mostly when I touch it, or feels like it’s not even there at times. I can squeeze my PC muscle now and I feel the squeeze below the base of my penis if that helps understand the feeling.
Viagra and Cialis do respond and I’m able to achieve an erection, but really hate the side effects and the high cost with the proper pharmaceutical grade medication.
Is there a regimen you recommend that I start to try and fix my venous leak/ED, increase my Lobito and mood, and reduce/eliminate my premature ejaculation without breaking the bank? 😦
Thanks,
John Ross
Hi John,
Sometimes it takes a few days for me to get to the comments. I receive them from 146 different countries.
It sounds like some of the things you have tried have backfired, especially if your penis is numb. I don’t think aggressive masturbation would harm a penis, but the penis stretching is not a good idea. Size really doesn’t matter in penises. It’s what you do with it and other lovemaking moves that matter. I knew a man with a two inch penis who was highly sought after for his lovemaking skills. He learned to do a lot of other things with his hands and mouth that made up for the size. Also, many women have the most sensitivity at the very opening of the vagina and if a penis is penetrated too far past that, they lose the feeling. So for these women, two inches is all they ever want or need.
I wish you had contacted me before you had the venous leak fixed. That comes about from weak blood vessel walls. Rutin will strengthen the worst and weakest blood vessel walls. If you’ve read the blog on ED, all I can suggest is that you try lecithin to clean out any blockages, ginkgo biloba to thin the blood enabling it to move into the penis for an erection, and rutin to strengthen the veins leading out of the penis so they are capable of holding blood in the penis until the act is finished.
If your penis is fine and there is no blockage, which I think may be the case with you, try reading Blog 19, “Increasing Sexual Pleasure by using DL-PA. DL-PA stimulates the part of the brain where sexual feelings and other good feelings are generated. Here is the link so you can check it out. https://lynncapehartwellness.com/2011/07/10/blog-19-increasing-sexual-pleasure/
The only other thing I can suggest to try to stimulate your mood is that you and your partner try watching sex films, which may increase your desire. There are also some lovemaking tips to prevent premature ejaculation that might interest you in Blog 47. https://lynncapehartwellness.com/2016/12/19/blog-47-premature-ejaculation/
Hope this helps. Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Thanks for replying Lynn!
The doctor mentioned that this fix is temporary and I’m not seeing a successful outcome.
Should I take all the tablets mentioned in the articles together at their timings (ie, breakfast, lunch, dinner)?
Would these herbs/supplements interfere with me taking Cialis Daily as well?
Is there anything that you could recommend to try bring the feeling back with my penis as one theory is that I was using a penis stretching technique known as jelqing which would have caused the damage to my nerves, and veins? As I’ve had this injury for a very long time, can I somehow remove the scarring and re awaken the nerve endings through supplement or anything topical? I also have read that once you have damaged your penis and scaring/plaque/s takes places then the injury is permanent.
Will sunflower licithin also achieve the same result if I’m unable to take soy licithin?
Thanks,
John Ross
Hi John,
Unfortunately, scarring usually means that the injury is permanent. That’s how multiple sclerosis comes about. Repeated inflammation that leaves scarring on the tips of the nerve endings until no electrical messages can get through.
Did you read the “Increasing Sexual Pleasure” Blog? That’s the best I can offer.
Yes, if you take the recommended supplements shown in the Quick Glance Chart you won’t have to worry about blockages that prevent erections. You can still take Cialis daily, but if your problem with ED is a blockage, using the supplements will mean you shouldn’t need Cialis after a while to get an erection.
Yes, sunflower lecithin will work if you can’t take the soy lecithin, but I have heard reports that sunflower lecithin works a bit slower than the soy, although it does work. I also have reports that soy lecithin that is not non GMO causes stomach upset.
Good luck and thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi, in the quick chart does the strength equal the total amount for each dosage or the total for the day?
Hi Tony,
It’s neither. Strength refers to the strength of the capsule or tablet I recommend, in case you want to buy it from another seller.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
When to use these supplement before or after meals,
Thank you
Hi Clifton,
Never before meals when you’re stomach is empty unless it’s Monavie Active or DHEA that you are taking in the morning. You can take vitamins during meals, directly after you eat, or after waiting 30 minutes after you eat.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hello,
I’m a 27-year-old male who continues to get soft when it comes to having sex. This has been happening since I was 19. I suffer from General Anxiety Disorder so I’m not sure if that has caused me to have trouble getting a full erection. I was on many antidepressants that really killed my libido and made it even harder to get hard and ejaculate but luckily I am no longer on them. When I’m about to have sexual intercourse with my partner I get an erection but after a couple minutes, my erections starts to go down. I’m not sure if I’m psychologically putting myself down or perhaps it is something else. I’m not sure if I suffer from erectile dysfunction but it sure feels like it. Would the vitamins you recommended be worth taking for a person like me? Thank you so much for your time.
Hi Richard,
It sounds like you didn’t read the ED blog. Maybe you want to take the time so you will really understand what is probably happening to you. In the blog I explain that lecithin breaks up blockages that prevent erections. But since you’re getting an erection it doesn’t sound like a blockage. Also in that blog I explain that weak penile blood vessels will not hold the blood in the penis until completion. For that you need rutin. It is still erectile dysfunction that you have, and you shouldn’t give up until you read the blog and follow the treatment schedule listed there exactly.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn,
Thank you for all the information. I am interested in this as I have varicose veins and ED issues. I have read through all the info you have (including comments) regarding the phosphatide content of the NOW brand of Sunflower Lecithin. My problem is the NOW site indicates 420 mg of Phosphatidyl Choline, but not the total phosphatide content per 1200 mg. Would you please let me know if this product has the required amount of 61%.
Thanks!
Hi Wes,
Now that we can buy non-GMO soya lecithin I suggest you switch from sunflower lecithin back to soya lecithin. NOW has a good brand of non-GMO soya lecithin and it can be ordered from http://www.vitaminlife.com, for $9.00 for a bottle of 200 softgels.
Don’t worry about the ratio content of soya lecithin if you don’t see it on the bottle. I have checked, and I also use it and can promise you that it is the correct potency and will work effectively on any blockage in your body.
However, no kind of lecithin, including non-GMO soya lecithin, will work on varicose veins. That’s not a blockage, but rather a category 1 simple malnutrition, rutin deficiency. Rutin strengthens the walls of your arterial system that cause varicose veins, which stem from weak blood vessel walls.
Varicose veins are nothing more than veins that have lost their elasticity due to a weakening of the blood vessel walls. Puritan’s and Solgar both sell a good rutin 500 mg product. You want 2000-3000 a day to prevent varicose veins. Sometimes rutin alone will tighten up and make disappear old varicose veins. You have to try it and see. It will however, definitely prevent any new varicose veins from appearing if you take enough everyday.

Hello Lynn,
This is Bill, 78yr old from Canada, ED issue. Had a great time in Italy, it was our seventh consecutive year, predominately Rome and Florence.
Before leaving I had done 5 consecutive weeks as follows:
NOW Sunflower Lecithin, 9 softgels 3 times a day.
Organika Rutin 500 mg 6 capsules 3 times a day
AOR Ginkgo Biloba 120mg 2 vegi-caps 3 times a day
Then I took nothing while we were in Italy, 2 weeks.
Since returning, I have continued the same routine as above, 2 weeks, and today starts the third week.
I didn’t do the one third increase, I went straight to the 50% increase.
At this point I have not had any change in the situation.
Regards,
Bill
Hi Bill,
It looks like you are taking a good regimen of supplements. I say in the blog that the remedy will not help every man, just those who have ED due to a penile blockage, or vein shutdown failure. You have been on the treatment long enough to have seen some good results if a blockage was the problem. So perhaps we should look for a different cause. Try reading Increasing Sexual Pleasure: https://lynncapehartwellness.com/2011/07/10/blog-19-increasing-sexual-pleasure/ Let me know if the supplement mentioned there helps you.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Hi Lynn,
I purchased the product D,L-Phenylalanine, 500mg from IHERB in the US, manufactured by Life Extension. I noticed on the bottle it said ” may cause anxiety, high blood pressure, and headache. It also said best utilized if taken with B6 and C. I took one capsule on Tuesday evening just to see what effect it may have on me. (No sex attempted) On Wednesday morning I had a terrific headache, by Wednesday afternoon while doing my workout, I felt very light headed and had trouble keeping my balance. By Thursday morning things seemed to be back to normal except for a heavyness in my head and stiffness in the back of my neck. I’m assuming this was because of an increase in blood pressure. I haven’t taken any more and am hesitant to do so. I would be most interested in your thoughts on this.
All the best, Bill.
Hi Bill,
Sorry for the delay in responding. Word Press changed the way they notify me of comments and I now have a backlog, because I didn’t know where to find them.
I recommended Puritan’s Pride DL-Phenylalanine. Their bottle is marked “free-form.” And it worked wonderfully. When I went to reorder, they had stopped selling it so I bought another brand, and I have been very dissatisfied with the results.
There was no warning on the bottle, and it was not marked “free-form.” And it did not work even remotely. There was no increased sexual pleasure, no feelings of well being. Nothing. So I think you did the right thing to stop taking it. It isn’t supposed to to do what it did to you. No one ever reported those problems when taking Puritan’s brand.
It is always very disappointing when a manufacturer stops making a product you’ve fallen in love with. I hate when that happens! I am still looking for a “free-form” DLPA and I suggest you do the same. If you find one purchase it and let me know so I can try it as well.
Thanks for writing, I really appreciate the info you left. Lynn
I’m confused. Are you saying to no longer use Puritan’s 1,200 mg tablets – #303 order items? I just ordered six bottles. I’m taking that, the Rutin three times a day and a Ginko Biloba three times a day that I bought from the local health store. I have not been using lecithin granules, simply because I don’t have the time. Using this formula, when will I notice a difference? Also, please note that I have been taking 8 lecithin tablets three times a day. Are there any problems doing this? Please advise. Thank you!
Hi Ken,
I warned readers against using Puritan’s Pride soya lecithin, because it is made from genetically modified (GMO)soybeans. A lot of people, including me, were experiencing terrible indigestion when using GMO lecithin. So I switched to NOW brand non-GMO soya lecithin softgels. There is no problem with the NOW brand, or any other brand of soya lecithin as long as it states that the product is made from non-GMO soybeans. You also have the option of buying sunflower lecithin, which is non GMO.
You have ordered six bottles and I don’t want you to have wasted your money. If you are not experiencing stomach issues when taking the lecithin, by all means finish the bottles you have ordered. If you are I recommend returning the bottles to Puritans. I have talked to Puritans about being behind the curve on this issue, and not offering a non-GMO option, as everyone is looking nowadays for non-GMO products. But when you use up those six bottles, I recommend switching to a non-GMO soya lecithin softgel, or sunflower lecithin softgels.
You don’t need to take the granules; softgels only are fine. If you read the comment section you will see many comments from men for whom lecithin has worked wonders. Some notice the difference in a few days. Your lecithin dose level is excellent, so if your ED problems are due to penile blockages, you will definitely notice the difference. Remember, lecithin clears out the blockages, permitting blood to get into the penis for a full erection; while Rutin shuts down the veins leading out of the penis in order to hold the blood inside and maintain the erection until the act is done.
There are no problems with taking lecithin. None whatsoever. It can only help not only ED but numerous other blockages that lead to heart attack, stroke, and other dangerous disorders.

Can I use rutin powder instead of pills to strengthen my arterial system?
Hi Jeff,
Sorry for the delay. Sometimes emails get lost and show up weeks later, like yours did. Yes you can use Rutin powder instead of tablets to strengthen the walls of your arterial system. Rutin prevents bleeding internally that can lead to strokes, as well as, external bleeding like hemorrhoids, nose bleeds, bleeding gums, varicose veins, and rosacea in facial cheeks.
You can usually substitute a supplement in tablet for for powder or liquid without encountering a problem.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn,
I am 42 years old and have been experiencing ED for about 1 year now and never had it before in my life. I have tried many different things, including zinc supplements which work to a degree but don’t solve the problem and some other herbal remedies as well. What I have noticed the last few months is that when I do get any erection which 99% of the time is never 100%, my penis has a dull ache to it. Is this to do with blood flow do you think, as I don’t get this when not erect? It feels as if my body is struggling to push/circulate blood in it if this makes sense. I could understand all this if I ate a bad diet but quite the opposite I eat only whole foods, no processed foods, take no drugs or drink alcohol and apart from this issue I am pretty good health-wise, exercise most days, with good cholesterol numbers and good blood pressure.
I do have quite a few spider veins (on my thighs mostly) and I started suffering with gingivitis a few months before noticing my ED problem and even though I have taken antibiotics just recently after trying forever to use just natural methods, over 1 year later I still have gums problems, not bad but still not 100%. Is any of this related do you think? I would really appreciate any advice that you have and thank you for this great blog!
David
Hi David,
ED, gingivitis, and spider veins all have something in common: part of the problem for each is weak blood vessel walls, signalling a Rutin deficiency. If you’ve read the entire ED blog you know that lecithin is used to open up the arteries, permitting blood flow that facilitates a full erection. But strong veins are necessary to make sure blood “stays” in the penis so the erection remains until climax can be achieved.
Your gums bleed and get red partially because the arterial system in your mouth has week blood vessel walls. (It also indicates infection and high bacteria count, meaning a need for beta carotene and an electric tooth brush. If you’re a tobacco smoker forget it; gingivitis will be the least of your problems.) My hygienist always remarks surprise that my gums don’t bleed during a cleaning. Not a spot of blood. She tells me that “everyone’s gums bleed somewhat during a cleaning.” That’s because “everyone” has a rutin deficiency.
The more your gums bleed, the weaker you know your arterial system is. That includes blood vessels in the brain, where bleeding is a cause of stroke; and blood vessel walls in and around the heart. Another place where blood leakage from weak walls is life threatening.
Spider veins occur because the vein wall becomes so weak it collapses. A spider vein is the kid brother of a varicose vein. Both stem from weak blood vessel walls.
This may also account for the dull ache during erection…if the artery walls are weak and then stretched to their maximum they could be tender.
It doesn’t matter how good your diet is. You cannot get enough nutrition out of the food you eat, no matter how superior it may be, to stave off disease. Not in this hectic free radical age.
I hope this helps. If you would like more individualized advice you might want to consider a private consultation. See the tab at the top of the home page for more information and how to make payment.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Hi Lynn. This is Pete..Absolutely great blogs!!..I love them!..Just have a couple of short questions…The Rutin!…Is ANY brand name Rutin fine?..And once I start the Rutin protocol, along with the Lecithin, how long will it take before the Rutin goes into affect?.. Are you still writing your cancer book?..Hope so…You certainly give poor and scared cancer sufferers’ hope..I applaud you!!!…And how is your friend?( breast cancer )..Take care and God bless…Pete
Hi Pete,
Good to hear from you. Thanks for the compliment. I cannot say definitively that “any” brand of rutin will work. There are other brands besides Puritans that are perfectly fine. But Puritans gives such a good deal with their buy one get one or two free, and buy one and get two free. It really saves you money, and I know for a fact that their brand of rutin works well. They also often run out and have it on back order so I have started ordering Solgar rutin from http://www.vitaminlife.com.
You should notice a difference within a week if taking both lecithin and rutin. Lecithin cleans out the penile arteries to get the blood in there that can create an erection. The rutin closes off the veins so the blood can’t escape until the act is completed. Both are necessary. Without rutin, you will get an erection, but quickly lose it as the blood drains out.
I have had to shelve my cancer book to write something commercial under a pseudonym, because I need the money. Shame because my treatment is universal and will cure any cancer anywhere in any mammal. Hopefully I can get back to it by the end of the year.
My friend Cheryl is doing fine and there has been no recurrence of her cancer, nor do I expect a recurrence as she is taking a good maintenance dose of beta carotene.
Take care, Lynn
I am new to this site and read your recommendation on #303 Lecithin from Puritan’s Pride and after reading the analysis on the website it doesn’t say anything on product label about the 732 mg of Phosphatides in each pill. i just want to make sure so I don’t order the wrong one. Thanks for your great Blog and help.
Brian
Hi Brian,
Puritans Pride doesn’t publish that info on the label. But I’ve checked and it is properly balanced. They also use genetically altered soybeans for their lecithin products. So I recommend that you go to http://www.vitaminlife.com and order NOW brand non-GMO soya lecithin. Read the tab at the top of my blog home page on Soya Lecithin Advisory. Do not order Puritan’s Pride #303. I haven’t had time to fix every chart on the blog. That is why I posted the tab of updated information on soya lecithin. NOW product has the correct balance of phosphatides.
Thanks for writing. Lynn
I went to your recommended website for the NOW Soya lecithin, but the only one listed is the sunflower lecithin non-GMO, is this the correct one? it still doesn’t meet your guidelines of 735 photophides? thanks again for all your correct advice. If the Puritan’s Pride 303 lecithin is balanced correctly, is it still ok because of the GMO’s? Thanks. again.
Brian.
Hi Brian,
Please return to http://www.vitaminlife.com. Type in the search box “non gmo soya lecithin.” Scroll down and you will see Lecithin 19 grain softgels, 200 count for $9.74. UPC code 73739022127. It doesn’t say soy on the front label but it is in the ingredient list.
Lynn
OK, good to know. For now I threw the GMO lecithin away. Once I finish with the non gmo sunflower lecithin, I will switch to the non gmo soy lecithin.. Eventually I’ll be on the right track. Thanks again.
Brian.
Hi Brian,
Sound thinking.
Lynn
Ok, now I switched to Sunflower Lecithin, but now I’m concerned with the Beta Carotene products. I see they all contain soybean oil and or soy lecithin, so do you have any recommendations for this? Thanks again for all your great advice.
Brian.
Hi Brian,
Don’t fret over this stuff. I wouldn’t recommended anything that I wasn’t certain works as I state it will and will not harm you. Puritans Pride beta carotene is the best choice on the market. Stop reading so much. Most of what you get online is wrongful nonsense when it comes to supplements, because they don’t know what they’re talking about. I do. Take it and you will see a remarkable outcome. Beta carotene is what cures cancer!
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn, Now I’m confused after reading Brians messages. I too have only been using non gmo sunflower lecithin softgels, and I thought it was the better alternative to soy. Non gmo sunflower lecithin contains 630 mg phosphatidyl choline per 3 softgels, but the bottle states 1200 mg per serving of 3 softgels. Am I taking the right product ?…. would you search the non gmo sunflower lecithin softgels, ” NOW brand “…and tell me if this is worth continuing, or if I should switch to soya ?
Thanks
Ross
Hi Ross,
At this point guys we’re splitting hairs. Both products are fine and appear to work the same. I’ve always used soya lecithin for decades, until the gmo tampering made it impossible for me to digest it any more. A lot of my readers were also experiencing this. At the suggestion of one of them, I switched to sunflower lecithin because sunflowers were known to be non gmo. I found the sunflower lecithin to be effective. When they came out with a non gmo soya lecithin I switched back, as that is what I was used to. Let’s focus on the word lecithin. As long as it is non gmo, both soya and sunflower are equally effective. I found no difference between them. So, if you’re using sunflower you may continue with that. If you’re using soya you may continue with that, as long as it’s non gmo.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn, I’m curious and wanted your opinion. I’m on low dose prednisone for 2 years now following renal transplant. I want to know if prednisone lowers the body’s DHEA levels ? Also could sunflower lecithin somehow interact, or affect , lower my transplant immuno surpressants ? Thank you
Ross
Hi Ross,
Prednisone does a lot of damage in the body. It’s reasonable to assume that it lowers DHEA as well as other nutrients. No, sunflower lecithin or non GMO soya lecithin for that matter, will not affect or lower your transplant immunol suppressants. It is an emulsifier and has little to do with your immune system.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn, I never tried the Ginko, due to fear of compromising immune anti-rejection drugs. I want to start using it, do you believe the Ginko will not interfere with the anti-rejection drugs or transplanted kidney in any way ?
Thank you
Ross
Hi Ross,
Ginkgo is vital to helping ED. The role it plays is to thin the blood so that more of it can get to the penile arteries and keep them open for blood to flow in and support a full erection. Lecithin keeps the arteries themselves cleaned out to permit the blood flow.
No I cannot think of a single reason why Ginkgo would interfere in any way with anti-rejection drugs re a transplanted kidney. All it does is to thin the blood moving through your arterial system. It also won’t affect your immune system.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn, thanks for your replay on ” Ginko biloba “. I want to know what would you advise me to take or do for receding gums / loose teeth ?. I believe the issues with my gums / teeth are a result of years on dialysis, and medications.
Is there anything I can do to preserve and possibly regenerate gum tissues and bone ?
THANK YOU
ROSS
Hi Ross,
It is natural for gums to recede as you age, and they will do so no matter what you do. There are things you can do to improve the conditions in your mouth however.
I would recommend starting with rutin, 500 mg strength, and taking 2000 twice daily, with breakfast and dinner. Rutin will help tighten the gums and will prevent bleeding and other sensitivity in the gums. Add a good Vitamin C to support the rutin, and take at least 1000 mg twice daily of it as well.
I hope you know to floss regularly, because lack of flossing and cigarette smoking are the two biggest causes of loose teeth. The best way to handle it is to floss at least three times a week with regular floss tape. Making sure to run the floss up and down the sides of all your teeth and dip it into the space between the teeth and gums.
Also you should purchase “Doctor’s Dental Picks,” and use them every time you eat anything. They are double headed and made of soft flexible plastic. One end looks like a regular toothpick, while the other end has tiny filament hairs that get down into the side pockets to clean out what the toothpick end missed. Use the every time you eat and you will notice the difference after a couple of weeks.
Also be sure that you don’t have any infections in your gums, which also contribute to loose teeth.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Lynn!..Thank you so much for the very quick reply…I’m leaning towards NOW brand Rutin..Not sure though. I was really glad to hear about the continued good news of your friend..That’s fantastic!.. My mom died of cancer, (colon) and I never hope to see anyone waste away and die like that!.I was devastated.. As of now if I ever come down with any form of cancer, your protocol is at the top of my list..NO CHEMO!!!!..So I’m rooting for you to finish your cancer book…Keep up your good works my friend..God bless you!!…Pete
Hi Pete,
NOW is a good brand. Go for it. Sorry to hear about your mother’s suffering. I hear that Olivia Newton John has had a resurgence of breast cancer. I wish someone would tell her about my treatment for Cheryl’s breast cancer. I always try writing to these people when I hear something like this, and they always ignore me. My news is too good to be true, and yet it is true. Cancer is so easy to cure and prevent. I’ve done all I can to get the word out. I’ll get back to the cancer book closer to the end of the year, but I honestly don’t think it’s going to make any difference in the acceptance of my theories.
If you ever get cancer Pete, I guarantee you that I can treat it successfully, no matter what kind of cancer, no matter where in the body, no matter how bad it is; and even if you’ve been given a death sentence. No CHEMO for sure. Also no radiation. No hair loss. No nausea. No depression. Six to twelve weeks and you’re good to go. Pass it on.
Take care, and thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn; Read through entire blog; Quick questions:
1) Is it important to take lecithin (either capsules or granules) PRIOR to food, WITH food, AFTER food or on an EMPTY stomach? In other words is it acting on the food as we eat or just important to get into our system anytime where it will stay and act sytemically?
2) The capsules are huge & I can’t take more than 2 at a time, so would it matter if I took 2 or perhaps 3 at a time, 5 or 6 times a day? (and that somewhat correlates with my first question of the importance of taking with food perhaps)
Thanks, great work…. Mike
Hi Mike,
You can take lecithin any way you want. With food or without. Whatever your stomach can handle. Just make sure it’s either non-GMO soya lecithin (my preference), or sunflower lecithin. I take my vitamins after each meal, rather than during. Don’t take them before you’ve eaten for sure. Your stomach will handle it better after eating. But I’ve taken Lecithin with a glass of milk, or tomato juice, on an empty stomach and was fine.
The Lecithin softgels are very large, but since they’re smooth they go down easily for most people. Try letting your mouth fill with water and letting the softgel float down, rather than using the water to push the softgel down your throat. If it’s easier you can certainly spread them out over the day in whatever way makes you comfortable, as long as you get enough it doesn’t matter.
Take care and thanks for writing, Lynn
Lynn, thanks for your reply. I’m still on the Lecithin / Rutin regimen and it has helped. Do you think supplementing with DHEA would cause a conflict with prednisone. ? Thank you
ROSS
Hi Ross,
I’m glad the lecithin and rutin are working for you. No, taking DHEA won’t cause a conflict with prednisone. But prednisone is very bad over long time use. How long are you planning on taking it? What warnings did your doctor give you about long term use?
Be careful with using DHEA as it is very seductive, and can make you feel really good. It can also make you hyper or aggressive if too much is used. I take very low daily amounts and swear by it. It also slows down aging and has a calming effect.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn, I had some mild swelling of my lower legs, so I currently stopped the Rutin, but continued the Lecithin. I will not take DHEA cause it may not be necessary, just curious about it. As far as I know I must take prednisone permanently unless by some miracle it could be replaced. The doctors never ever sat me down and discussed the long term effects of prednisone with me. Only that I needed it to prevent rejection. It really is a shame that your ignored by people who you could truly help if they listened. Thank you for all your advice.
ROSS
Hi Ross,
One of the worst habits of the medical industry is their failure to give all information so a patient can make a fully informed choice. If I were you I would investigate further as to how you can substitute something else, frankly anything else, instead of prednisone. If not, then you have to start taking supplements that counter act the damage it is doing and will do to your body. Here is a quote I picked up on line:
“This immunosuppressive drug, though necessary in some cases, is associated with serious long-term side effects such as cataracts, bone loss, weakening of the immune system, and many others. One of the most serious complications from prednisone is the risk of osteoporosis, which occurs from the bone loss.”
If you can’t get off prednisone then you have to start taking chelated calcium magnesium, bilberry and other eye support vitamins, and either bee pollen, or if you can afford it, Monavie Active or MX.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn, I have very important questions and would appreciate your advice. Since the day of my renal transplant, I have had blood in my urine, although not visible just detectable . Doc’s are not sure of the cause, and have tried steroids to treat it unsuccessfully . I bruise and bleed easily but I’m also taking low dose aspirin / fish oil daily, which would not and is not causing bleeding. I believe the transplanted kidney is bleeding due to IGA nephropathy which is what caused my native renal failure, cause there’s no other explanation. I still take Lecithin cause it improve my renal function, but never took Rutin continuously. So… your advice please !.. .Do you think if I start and continue taking Rutin it will help or stop whatever is causing the bleeding internally ?. And also could rutin negatively affect my kidney long term use ?
Thank you very much !
Ross
Hi Ross,
Based on your most recent comment you don’t dare stop taking Rutin daily. You are at risk for internal bleeding which could lead to a stroke. Rutin is a nutrient and it will not hurt you or interfere with your kidney transplant. But it does seem certain that you are at risk of losing that new kidney if it continues to bleed. Rutin is so effective I have seen it completely heal the worst bleeding hemorrhoids in just days and avoid imminent surgery. Don’t fool around with this Ross; you are in danger and you have to fix it. As you already know, your doctors can’t be depended upon, and they are as dumb as dirt regarding most health problems.
Take care and thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn, Thank you for your reply and advice. I will continue Rutin today! Question is how much? I was prescribed 5 mg prednisone daily, but I only take 2.5 mg daily for 7 months now and my kidney function remains the same. I would love to stop it completely but don’t want to chance rejection, although I doubt stopping it would cause rejection.
I agree with your advice to at least counteract the damage of prednisone. I do take magnesium, D3, zinc, multi vitamin, lecithin, organic C, and fish oil. My latest labs show normal calcium levels; should I still take chelated calcium? What will bee pollen help? Can’t afford the Monavie, but can I take a good Acai extract? Acai boosts immune function; would that be hurtful in my case being that I must suppress my immune system in order to fight rejection?
I trust you, but I want to be sure before I commit to something.
Thanks again
Ross
Hi Ross,
I’m glad you’ve been able to cut your prednisone dosage in half without ill effect. Follow the recommendations for ED regarding Rutin; that dose should be sufficient. Yes you need to take calcium due to the bone loss side side effect of prednisone. Calcium and magnesium work together and should always be taken together; otherwise you risk a deficiency of the one you aren’t taking. Bee pollen doesn’t so much “boost” the immune system as it balances it; maybe to the point that it will stop attacking your new kidney. Yes a good acai berry drink will help your immune system greatly. I’m not sure it’s a good idea to take zinc by itself; a good multiple vitamin should have a complete complement of minerals too.
I have noticed that you send in quite a few health inquiries. Perhaps you should consider a private consultation. To check out the details see the tab at the top of the page.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn, Once again thanks for your reply and advice. My only question ” is rutin safe at 2000mg daily for long term ” ?. I have certainly looked at and wanted a consultation with you, but not financially ready. I will consider it in the near future. Let me explain the zinc. I recently had lab work and my Zinc & D levels were both low, so I decided to increase both. Only problem is I don’t have authority to monitor my levels without a Dr’s prescription. So I will
not over do it to be safe. I will add calcium as you advised. Keep spreading your healing word, God Bless .
Ross
Hi Ross,
Yes rutin is safe at 2000 mg. Otherwise I would not recommend that dose. What troubles me about lab work regarding vitamin levels is that physicians and lab people don’t really know how much is needed for real health. Your approach sounds good in not overdoing it to be safe.
Thanks for writing. Lynn
Hi Lynn, For some reason the site won’t allow me to reply with my last message. After taking Rutin my lower legs tend to swell / retain fluids more, is this normal…and could it be the Rutin ? . Also : I’d like to start taking Ubiqinol for gum, tissue health. I’d appreciate your opinion, could Ubiquinol interfere with my anti-rejection drugs ?..or possibly benefit my kidney function ?
THANKS AGAIN
Ross
Hi Ross,
Ubiquinol won’t interfere with your anti-rejection drugs. For that matter, I can’t think of a supplement off hand that would do that. It’s other drugs you have to worry about, not food supplements, which are just concentrated nutrition.
I recommend Rutin for ED because it strengthens blood vessel walls, permitting the veins that carry blood away from the penis to shut down, holding the blood there until the act is finished. Yet I can’t see how strengthening your blood vessel walls would cause swelling. But then you are taking drugs for your condition. Why don’t you stop the Rutin and see if it helps the swelling. Then start again and stop again until you can figure it out.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn, I stopped the Rutin and the edema went away. I restarted the Rutin at half dose, and again I have mild edema lower legs. My question is : Is the Rutin directly affecting the new kidneys function…or is this a just a result of capillary strengthening without harming my new kidney ? Should I continue, or stop Rutin ? I really wanted to continue, due to blood in urine.
Hi Ross,
Sorry for the delay. Word Press changed the way they notify me about comments, and I have a backlog of them. All rutin will do is strengthen the walls of your arterial system–all of them, be they arteries, veins, or capillaries. Rutin has nothing to do with your edema or renal function.
You can fix the edema with a good B100 Complex. Puritan’s has a great one, item #10282. Take two capsules each morning with some small bit of food, and two in the evening with dinner. Do this until the edema stops. Then reduce to one capsule twice daily as a maintenance dose. Stay at that level from now on.
If the edema returns move back up to two capsules twice daily. If the higher end dose doesn’t work, add one more B100 capsule twice daily until you no longer have edema.
I also would suggest Vitamin C and Calcium/Magnesium as they both act as diuretics.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn, I’m aware that you now advise the new GMO soya lecithin instead of sunflower lecithin for blockages. But my concern is what about male hormonal issues ?. Will the soya lecithin cause any side effects to men such as elevated Estrogen/ hormone disruptions etc… ?
Thanks
Oren
Hi Ross,
Apparently whatever they do to the soybeans to turn them into lecithin diminishes its capacity to affect hormone levels. I have not heard of even one case where lecithin use raised estrogen levels in either men or women.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn,
I’ve been taking Lecithin for a couple of years and recently started on a regimen of Rutin. What would be a good maintenance dosage for lecithin and Rutin?
Ken
Hi Ken,
Please consult the chart in Blog 14. It gives you correct maintenance doses.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn,
I’m able to have instant erections, but not get completely erect, and they diminish upon foreplay, and never last long enough for intercourse. I do take meds for a renal transplant which I partly blame, also lack of intimacy, too much porn in the past. Either way your protocol makes sense and it’s all natural. I am going to start it, but I can’t have Ginko B because I take low dose aspirin daily, and GB may interfere with transplant meds. Whats your opinion? I weigh 115 lbs, and 5’6″ exercise daily and eat well. Do you think this protocol will benefit me? I’m really looking forward to starting it, because I’m unhappy now due to not being able to please my girlfriend. I also take L-Citrulline. Should I stop it ?
THANK YOU
ROSS
Hi Ross,
Your problem of not being able to sustain an erection is not due to a blockage, or you wouldn’t be able to get one in the first place. Your problem is a weakness in the veins that take the blood away from the penis. They aren’t strong enough to hold it there until the act is finished. That’s what the Rutin is for. You can find the correct dosage at the bottom of the ED blog in the Quick Glance Chart. I still recommend that you take the Lecithin to ensure you are able to have full and strong erections. You might also want to check out the blog on increasing sexual pleasure to counteract the dullness and numbness that comes from watching too much porn. https://lynncapehartwellness.com/2011/07/10/blog-19-increasing-sexual-pleasure/

Lynn, Thanks for your reply. Will the DL-Phenylalanine have any side effects or interactions with immunosurpressants ? Also: being that I take 5 mg of prednisone daily, would DHEA benefit me ,, and whats your opinion on taking GB instead of aspirin,,,,do you think it would cause issues with the immunosurpressants ? Sorry to ask so many questions, but need to be sure I do this correctly. I will continue your advice and take Sunflower lecithin / Rutin and will update you.
Thank you so much !
Ross
Hi Lynn, after taking rutin and Lecithin for 7 days at your dosage, I did start to experience nightly erections, but I ran out of Lecithin for 4 days and it decreased, and now I’ve continued the protocol. ALSO : Will taking your advised protocol for thinning hair have any effect on the ED treatment if taken at the same time ? I experienced a harder heartbeat and wonder is it the Rutin..or Bcomplex , biotin, folic acid ? Thanks again
Ross
Hi Ross,
The hair treatment will not interfere with the ED treatment and both can be taken at the same time. None of what you are taking can cause a “harder” heartbeat. If it continues you should contact a physician.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Hi Lynn,
After 2 months of sunflower lecithin/rutin therapy, it’s obvious that my problem isn’t blockage, I assume, cause there has been no improvement. I did get my testosterone checked and it’s 373, and I also assume that is part of the problem. I could be wrong….what do you think? I do want to say that a very unexpected but great result came from the lecithin that I was not expecting! My routine renal labs show that my kidney function has greatly improved with a drop in creatinine. It appears the lecithin is helping the filtration/function in some way….maybe you could explain? Also, are you able to advise me on a safe natural way to increase my testosterone level?
THANK YOU
Ross
Hi Ross,
Great news about your renal function. Congrats. Lecithin is an emulsifier and breaks up blockages that were causing poor renal function. It does this throughout the body, including in the penile arteries. Normal testosterone levels are 300 to 1050. So at 373 your are low but still considered in the normal range. I’m assuming that you took the recommended doses for ED. Two months is plenty of time for it to have worked if that was the problem, so you are right.
Exercise and body building, and losing weight if you are overweight, is one way that increases testosterone. Carrying too much weight in that well known spare tire decreases testosterone levels.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn, Thanks for your reply. Can Lecithin or Rutin increase uric acid ?. What if the problem is low T, will Lecithin / rutin still work ? . I,m also taking Lcitrulline , is that ok, should I stop while using Lecithin / Rutin ? I’m 5f6 and weigh 115 lbs, and exercise daily, eat right, but no morning erections, also unable to maintain a full erection for sex, is this the right treatment for me ?
Thanks
Oren
Hi Ross,
Neither Lecithin or Rutin will increase uric acid. In fact, lecithin will help decrease it. Lecithin and Rutin will only work to unblock penile arteries. And if that is the reason for the ED they will end it. I honestly don’t know if low T will still cause ED once the penile arteries are cleared. Regardless of any medication that you are taking, Lecithin and Rutin will not in any effect it. L-Citrulline is an amino acid made naturally in your body that helps to thin blood. I have recommended Ginkgo Biloba for that purpose. There is no problem mixing
L-C with either Lecithin or Rutin. However, you probably don’t need both GB and L-C. Choose one.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn, the lecithin idea sounds great, and will try it. If sunflower lecithin contains 61% phosphatides will have the same effect as soy lecithin ?. Also, are there any side effects from soy or sunflower lecithin with medications, such as immunosurpressants ?.
OREN
Hi Oren,
If you have read the comments you can see that it is very effective for most men. Both Sunflower and Soya Lecithin contain the appropriate amount of phosphatides, and are equally effective. If you opt for Soya Lecithin, make sure it is non GMO. There is no danger in taking Lecithin with any other substance, including immunosurpressants.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn,
Thank you for your reply. YOU’RE GREAT! I am on a low dose aspirin daily, therefore can’t take GB. I’m taking sunflower lecithin, L-Citrulline, and Garlic daily. Will this combination cause a conflict with lecithin for treating ED, and should I remove anything? Also: Is rutin safe with immunosupressants, and how much rutin should I take with it ?
Thanks again Lynn
OREN
Hi Oren,
I’m responding to all three of your comments here. Too bad you’re on low dose aspirin, as Ginkgo Biloba works better to thin blood and get it quickly to the penis. Lecithin will only work if your ED problem stems from a blockage in the penile arterial system. Lecithin and Rutin will not increase uric acid. In fact, Lecithin works to prevent uric acid buildup. None of what you told me you are using will interfere with Lecithin. Remember that Lecithin breaks up the blockages so that blood can get into the penis for a strong erection, while Rutin strengthens the veins leading away from the penis, causing them to hold the blood in the penis until the act is finished. Rutin is safe to take with any othr substance.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn, forgot to ask, will sunflower lecithin increase uric acid ?
Thanks
Oren
Dear Lynn, Once again its me Sam :-).
I would like to tell you that before even having an opportunity to find your site and your ED chart, I took Ginkgo Biloba, 60 mg several times a day for a long time, cause I had heard that it was good for brain health and improve concentration, also that is is an efficient blood thinner. I would like to ask you if I can add some low dosage Aspirin 81 mg recommended as a blood thinner by my doctor? Thank You
Sam
Hi Sam,
You didn’t say if you are still taking Ginkgo Biloba. It is as effective a blood thinner as anything on the market, especially low dose aspirin. GB is such a good blood thinner that any physician would tell you not to take it at the same time you take aspirin, because your blood may become too thin. I would suggest that you go back to the GB or stay on it if you’re taking it, rather than use aspirin to thin your blood. GB does the same or a better job of thinning blood than any medication. But don’t take them together. Don’t take GB with any blood thinner. Just take the GB and you will be good.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn,
It’s been awhile but I have posted before. I want to start your protocol for ED again. I was on it before but I stopped for one reason or the other. I want to run a question by you first. This is what I take on a daily basis. 1 multivitamin…1000 mg of vitamin C…1/320 mg of pure Saw Palmetto. Is it alright to continue these along with your protocol?
PS: So glad to hear about your friend beating breast cancer, and even more glad that you had something to do with it. God bless you!! And how is your “cancer book” coming along? It gives cancer sufferers a reason for optimism. Thank you for helping. Your friend, Pete
Hi Pete,
Good to hear from you. It’s been a while. Saw Palmetto appears to be a mild anti-inflammatory agent. I see no reason why you can’t continue to take it while you are using my ED treatment. It won’t do much for the ED, but it will help you fight inflammation. (That is done best with Beta Carotene, however.) You said you stopped the treatment at one point. Your ED stems from a deficiency; you have to keep treating the deficiency always. You need the extra nutrition everyday, or the problem will return.
Let me know how it works out for you. Take care and thanks for writing, Lynn
Dear Lynn
It is the first time for me to see your site and I am so excited to read your responses to everybody’s questions. You’re amazing! I bought a couple of containers of Lecithin, 1200 mg, from NOW products several months ago. For a while I took between 1 or 2 a day and didn’t see much difference in my ED condition. Then I read your dosage recommendation carefully. It says you must take at least 3 softgels, 2 times a day. The product I used came with Posphatdryl 540 mg, Soy Lecithin (Non GMO) 3,600 mg, and other ingredients similar to Puritans Pride. I tried several other supplements like L-Arganine, L-Citrulline, L-Cartinine and many more. But, after reading your ED blog, I took 12 softgels: 6 in morning and 6 in evening like you said. Just took that yesterday. This morning I woke up with morning wood!!!! I am going to follow your advice and order Rutin today. Should I take Lecithin and Rutin together? How many miligrams of Rutin should I take everyday? Thank You So Much, Lynn.
Sam
You’re welcome, Sam,
I’m so happy to hear you are getting relief with my treatment! Yes, you can take Rutin and Lecithin together. They are only food nutrients and will not hurt you. Please refer back to the ED Quick Glance Chart to see the correct dosages to follow.
Thanks, for writing. Lynn
Dear Lynn,
Thanks a lot for replying to my email. I already have Lecithin 1200 mg and Rutin. As far as Lecithin Granules, I don’t have any right now. Until I get the granules would you advise me to take COQ10 or simply take the Lecithin, Ginkgo Biloba, and Rutin at this time? Thank you so much for your time for helping everybody and saving relationships. God Bless You.
Hi Sam,
CoQ10 won’t do anything to help ED. You didn’t read that on my blog. 🙂 The granules are an extra assist for ED but you can keep it controlled with just the Lecithin softgels, plus Ginkgo Biloba, and Rutin of course. Remember, you have to take these extra nutrients all the time or the ED will return. You have a deficiency that is causing blockages all over your body and not just in your penis. Blockages that can lead to dementia, heart attack, and more. Good luck!
Thanks for Writing, Lynn
Dear Lynn, Thanks a lot for your advise. Ok, I won’t take any CoQ10 and follow your chart and will update with you. Once I get the perfect result, I promise to send you a check. Thanks for your time to show your care about everybody. We all love you.
Sam
Hi Sam,
How did things work out for you? You can reply to my email, lynncapehartnonprofit@outlook.com.
Let me know, please. Lynn.
Thank you Lynn, I would like to know if it can be enough to take Lecithin 1200 mg, Ginkgo Biloba 60 mg, and Rutin 500 mg? I don’t have Lecithin Granules.
Sam
Hi Sam,
Yes you can use the softgels instead of the granules for Lecithin. Please follow the chart for the correct dosage of each.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Dear Lynn, Thanks again for your time to write back to me.
I forgot to tell you that I am diabetic. Can your chart of Lecithin, Ginkgo and Rutin still can be helpful with my condition? Should I add some other things to make it more effective. You’re an invisible online angel, and the Lord loves you. God Bless You.
Sam
Hi Sam,
Yes, all of those supplements are completely safe if you have diabetes. Thanks for the kind words.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hey Lynn. Would you happen to have anything for Pelvic Steal Syndrome?
Hi Jeff,
Just found your query. PSS is a partial blockage of a pelvic artery. Sometimes a man with this condition can only maintain an erection when he is standing. But a blockage anywhere in the body can be successfully treated with lecithin. Please follow the same regimen as that recommended for ED. It will work the same as it does for ED.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Hi, I’ve been using the lecithin ,rutin and Gingko for two months now and haven’t had any change in my ED. Is there something else I need to do?
Hi Bill,
If you are taking the recommended dosages, and they are not working, try to up it by 50 percent then even 100 percent. If there is still no difference I would question if blockages are the problem, or maybe it’s something else stopping you from achieving an erection. Let me know if increasing the dosages works.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Hi Lynn…Haven’t been on here in a while..I tried the lecithin but can’t honestly say it helped much… I think I want to give it another try but at a larger daily dosage…Is a large dosage of the sunflower lecithin safe to take?.. I think I was taking around 18 a day at one time but I’m willing to try a larger dosage if it’ll help..How much is “too much”?… And how much Rutin do I take if I increase my dosage?…Thanks for any advise…Pete
Hi Pete,
You can take as much sunflower lecithin as you like. There are no side effects. You have to remember that if your ED is indeed caused by a blockage, there is actual hardened plaque inside the penile arteries impeding blood flow. Each molecule of lecithin attaches to a molecule of plaque and rides it out of your system. It will take time, but not a lot of time. The bad news is that lecithin and rutin will work if the problem stems from a blockage. It won’t work if something else is going on. But most ED comes from either a penile blockage or lack of interest. Give it another try please. It shouldn’t take more than 18 a day generally. But I know men who take 24 a day all the time to make sure they don’t run into ED.
Lecithin is what helps you achieve the erection initially, Rutin is what helps you maintain the erection until the completion of the act. Depending upon where your problem arises, getting one, or holding on to one, you will increase you dosages accordingly. Like lecithin, rutin is just nutrition, it won’t hurt you no matter how much you take.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Hi Lynn,
I’m really hoping your regime works for me. I’m 37 and have suffered from ed my whole life. Lately I have been seeing a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner as although cialis had worked well for me in the past my use was more recently making me super anxious.
I am seeing only little changes with my ed and I’m nowhere near satisfied with the Chinese herbs. I am persisting because the herbs really help me with my anxiety. I’m hoping they’ll eventually start helping my ed. It’s been 6 months though so it’s time for something else I think.
The mixed herbs I’m taking are: Fresh Ginger, Jujube,White Peony Root, Dragon Bone (Fossil), Cinnamon twig, Prepared Licorice, Epimedium, Oyster Shel. I take 1 teaspoon of this mixture day and night 30 mins before meals.
I’m hoping you can advise whether you see any clashes with your regime and my herbs? I’m also taking Pumpkin seed oil (two teaspoons a day, 1 morning, one night), a multivitamin (ray and terrys daily formula) and some good quality fish oil. I’m in good health, not over weight, exercise 3 times a week, and have a balance diet.
If you’re happy for me to go ahead do I take the granules as well as the soft tabs or will I be fine with just the granules in addition to the rutin and ginkgo?
My hands and feet feel cold (it’s winter however) and my belly is also cold compared to my chest. I read that the arteries in the belly are linked to those in the penis. I’m thinking my issue is therefore clogged arteries. In any case I’m prepared to try your regime.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thank you kindly
Hi Anthony,
If you’re following my regimen and not getting the relief you seek, increase your dosages, especially of the lecithin. I agree with your assessment that your being cold indicates not enough blood flow. For that add B12-1000 mcg tablets, Nature’s Life brand. Take 2000 mcg twice daily, morning and afternoon.
The Chinese herbs you are taking are nice, I mean everything helps, but I don’t see anything there that will help the ED or really fix your anxiety. For the anxiety, get Sea Kelp-150 mcg tablets, Puritan’s Pride brand. You have to work with this to see what dosage you need. I would start with one tablet in the morning. If you have trouble sleeping you may want to take another 20 minutes before bed. But be careful, this really works. You will probably have to cut back to a half tab or less, because you will be too relaxed. But if it works a little but not enough then take more.
I would take both lecithin softgels and granules for the ED. If you’re using Soya Lecithin, make sure to purchase a non-GMO brand like that of NOW Nutritionals. If you have trouble swallowing that size softgel you can use granules only.
Before I close, I want you to picture what it’s like in your arteries, especially your penile ones. If you’re not able to achieve and hold on to a proper erection, then there isn’t enough space left in your arteries for blood to pass through, because of the gunk piled up on the walls. Picture a hallway in a library that you’re trying to get through but both walls are lined with rows of stacked books, leaving you barely enough room to walk. That’s what it’s like for your blood when it’s trying to get into your penis when you need an erection.
ED can also mean that you have other arteries similarly blocked and are at risk for other blockage disorders like heart disease and dementia.
However, you do sound like you’re in good health for now. I don’t see any clashes, but as I said above I doubt that what you’re taking will fix what you have complained about. Stick to my therapy, up the dosage of my chart, and let me know what happens.
Thanks for writing,
Lynn
Would it not be better to use sunflower lecithin
Hi Gregg,
Now that non GMO soya lecithin is available I recommend that over Sunflower, unless you have a specific complaint about the soya lecithin.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Awesome. Awesome awesome.
Hey Mr. X,
Thanks for the comment. Tell your friends.

Lecithin emulsifies cholesterol but Lecithin is used by body to produce enzymes and other things needed in the body. Can emulsified lecithin still produce these needed things?
Ken
Hi Ken,
Yes emulsified Lecithin can still do everything necessary in your body.
Lynn
Thanks for your response. When I went on the lecithin plan as outlined by you, my cholesterol dropped from the 200’s to 135. I do not understand what happened to the emulsified lecithin. Is it still in the body and cannot be measured by standard cholesterol tests, or is it removed as waste?
Thanks
Hi Ken,
It is removed as waste if it isn’t used. Just note the results. It works. Your cholesterol is lower. Be happy.
Lynn
Yes I was looking at your ed report! I tried it and I was seeing a difference. I used everything except granules, but my main concern is whether there is an off and on time period to use this remedy, as far as when to stop using it or how long to use for best results.
Hi Karon,
The ED regimen replaces nutrition that you are lacking. You have to take it daily and all the time or you will suffer the same deficiency all over again. You have to eat everyday, right? For the same reasons, you have to take supplements daily.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn. I was just wondering if you have and recommendations for Venous Leak? Thanks in advance.
Hi Jeff,
The ED blog references Rutin to improve the strength of the penile veins in order to prevent blood leaving before the act is finished. Check it out.
Lynn
Cool. Thank you!!!
You’re welcome. Good luck.
Lynn
Hi Lynn. I’ve always had an unhealthy prostate off and on over the years. I’ve got a routine blood test on Dec 8. I’m sure the PSA will be included. I’m on Lecithin and 8 tablets a day of Rutin (500mg). Can I expect my PSA results to be elevated?
Hi Pete,
You can expect improvement IF you are taking enough Lecithin. For starters, the recommended treatment calls for a minimum of 12 a day, not 8. When you wrote before I told you that if 12 weren’t working that you should up the dosage by adding another 6 at lunch, for three doses, or just take more twice daily. So, if your prostrate isn’t better, you need to take more Lecithin, as much as it takes to improve your condition. I have have had some RA patients taking 21 or more Lecithin softgels daily for months, plus using the granules whenever possible.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn. I’m very impressed with your confidence and knowledge of helping the problems of so many people. In fact, I’m in the process of ordering your book, Vitamin Remedies That Really Work, volume 1. Anyway, I think you missunderstood or maybe I didn’t explain myself correctly. I do that sometimes. lol. Actually, I’m taking 18 capsules of Lecithin a day, for about a month now. (6 in the morning, 6 at lunch, and 6 after dinner, of 1200 mg capsules, along with 8 Rutin a day (4 in the morning and 4 after dinner of 500 mg each). If you would suggest more please let me know. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Pete
Hi Pete,
Yes I had a great Thanksgiving and ate too much as usual. Hope yours was good too. Thanks for buying my book!! Aren’t you wonderful!!
Ok, so it sounds like you’re taking enough Lecithin and Rutin. If I remember correctly, you are taking a prescription blood thinner, right, and therefore are not using Ginkgo Biloba? I wonder if that’s making a difference, though I am not asking you to stop any prescribed medicine. Let’s add Beta Carotene to your schedule because it sounds like there may be inflammation involved. Order Puritan’s Pride No. 1223; that is 25,000 IU strength. Take 25 softgels twice daily, morning and evening, with some food, for a total of 50 softgels daily. It’s important to take it with food if you possibly can. Also add Vitamin D3, Puritans Pride No. 17618, and take 3 twice daily when you take the Beta Carotene. It is a support vitamin for the BC. Let me know if the prostrate gets better with this new addition. How did your test go?
Take care and thanks for writing, Lynn
Good evening Lynn.
Thanks for your reply, I am on warfarin for life as I had a couple of pulmonary embolisms between 2007 and 2010. (The doctor says I had sticky blood.) I do not suffer from ED but have noticed that my erection hardness quality is not what it used to be. Also it takes a little longer than usual to get fully erect. Once I am up and running there is no problem. It would be very pleasing if your remedy could act as preventative treatment for ED and quicken erection time also increase the hardness factor. I am in my mid 50’s, 6 foot tall, 180.6 pounds (12 stone 9), non drinker, non smoker, healthy eater. (Except for Fridays when I have fish and chips.) Is the initial Gingko Biloba part really necessary as the warfarin and regular blood INR tests are keeping my blood quality in check? I look forward to your reply and advice.
Best Regards. Richard.
Hi Richard,
I don’t want you to stop taking your warfarin as it’s properties may cause it to thin your blood already. Also, Lecithin will fix the “sticky blood” problem. That condition is considered a “blockage” by the body. That’s what lecithin is for. It will also help with ED as it takes care of any blockage problem.
Good luck, Lynn.
Hi there Lynn.
I have just found your blog, there’s lots of information here and I thank you for sharing :- ) I am on warfarin and would like to try your remedy, would I be right to assume that it would be okay except for the Ginkgo Biloba, which would cause an interaction with the warfarin?
Hi there,
I’m glad you’re enjoying my blog. Ginkgo Biloba is a blood thinner, and Warfarin is a anticoagulant, which stops blood clots from forming. I wouldn’t advise using them together. Together they might thin your blood too much. Are you using the Warfarin for ED or another condition? Ginkgo Biloba is only necessary in the beginning in order to get blood through the clogged penile arteries. Once the arteries are cleaned out you wouldn’t need Ginkgo Biloba so much.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
I checked the sunflower lecithin on Puritans Pride site its 630 mg † .
Hi Kathleen,
Remember, with lecithin you also have to check the ratio of phosphatides to overall product. Puritan’s Pride soya lecithin contains a minimum of 70 mg of phosphatides in each 1200 mg softgel, equivalent to 61 percent phosphatides. I know that this level works to break up all blockages. If the sunflower lecithin has 630 mg of phasphatides to 1200 mg overall product, or higher, then it would be sufficient.

Hi Lynn, I notice that this blog has the most questions and comments, showing its importance for us guys.
Since I find taking the lecithin granules easier than swallowing 6 big capsules, i have been taking 2 tbsp (30 ml) of the granules 3x a day. According to the can’s label, I have been getting more than 11,000 mg phosphatides per dose, or more than 33,000 mg phosphatides per day.
I have also been taking the rutin and other nutrients, as well as the nutrients for the heart, as you have recommended.
But after nearly a month, there has been no change in my erectile function – still practically zero. I am very much turned on by my beautiful girlfriend, so I can’t really say that my problem is psychological.
Still, I have ordered some dl phenylalanine in case there is some disconnect between my brain and my penis.
In the case of male heart patients (enlarged heart), is the penis the last organ to be rid of blockages by your protocol? My heart still feels somewhat “hollow” or “empty” and my left thigh still has some numbness and pain.
I would very much appreciate your advice, as I am very much distressed by my lack of erectile function.
Thank you very much.

Just wondering about all the information on your post. Why can’t doctors prescribe the same treatment you are offering? There is so many of us seniors with this problem, but you make it sound so simple to treat.
Hi Terry,
That’s a good question; one I hear repeatedly. I blame medical schools for the lousy training they give to students. It’s criminal complacency. They took the wrong path a long time ago and refuse to deviate from it. What saved me was not having and iota of medical training. I just rely on my brain and the obvious. All diseases are simple to treat with natural means, especially when compared to the way the medical industry blunders at them.

Hi Love the blog. Just ordered some Lecithin for Ed which probably manifested over the years from prostate problems…I’m looking forward to trying it…Pete
Hi Pete,
Most men get great results from this treatment. Scroll down in the comments section to read the one from Tig.

Hi Lynn.I received my order of Lecithin a few days ago..Starting out I’m takeing 3 heaping TBSP full a day. Starting my 4th day. Nothing yet though. I’m hopeing…But again..Your blogs are very reassureing and I think we all need that in our lives. And you can be assured I’ll beat the “success drum” loud and clear if this stuff works..Oops! Almost forgot.. You mentioned the use of Royal Jelly.. I assume it’s for the prostate..Could you please explain what it’s purpose is?… Thanks again for everything…
Hi Pete,
Congratulations on starting your new treatment! It works immediately for some men, others need up to 30 days because they are badly clogged. Keep at it. If a blockage is the only problem, your problem will be over soon. Remember, the lecithin will clean out blockages everywhere, not just in the penial arteries and veins. Perhaps you have a more serious blockage, say your heart or brain. In that case your body will clean out the more serious spots first.
If I told you to take Royal Jelly, you must have mentioned some kind of immune problem. I don’t have the earlier part of your email, so I don’t know. But Royal Jelly works GREAT on allergies, and other immune reactions. That is the only reason I would have recommended it.
Yes, we do need reassurance these days about our health, because it is such a messed up situation. I can be so reassuring because it’s the truth that I write
Take care and thanks for writing, Lynn.
Hi Lynn,
I have been taking LECITHIN,GINGKO, and RUTIN for over a month now. Have seen some improvement, but not a whole lot. I do have internal hemorrhoids and they do bleed from time to time. I thought the Rutin would help with this too, but not so much. I was checked by a Gastroenterologist, back in March of this year. He did corderise the veins affected. But gave me no guarantee they would not come back. Well with that being said. How much longer should I stay on this program, should I increase anything. Or have I been on this long enough???Also I have gained about 6 pounds. Is this from the fat in the Soy??
Thank you,
Robert
Hi Robert,
If your hemorrhoids are still bleeding you are not taking nearly enough Rutin. That could be the reason for your slow ED recovery. Remember, the blood has to be able to get in and then be trapped there by very strong vein walls, until you are finished. It sounds like the blood is leaking out and therefore no strong erection can be maintained. You are supposed to start with my recommendations as a base line, but if it doesn’t work for you, please increase the dosage as high as you need to get results. This is only nutrition and will not hurt you no matter how much you take.
Another thing. High doses of Rutin will close up and repair and cure the worst case of hemorrhoids. The absolute, blood-running-down-your-leg worst. You don’t have to see a doctor for this sort of thing!!! Those experiences are not fun. If you can get it into your head that this is just concentrated food, you can understand why sometimes your body is “hungrier” than at other times. Right now it’s hungry, starving, for some more Rutin, please. 🙂
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn,
Thank you for all your valuable information. Is taking a choline supplement better than a lecithin supplement for erectile dysfunction? At peaknootropics.com, it says that lecithin is the weakest of the choline supplements giving only 2.5% – 9.5% choline. Would you get more phosphatides from taking choline? Or is lecithin better?
Randy
Hi Randy,
Most of what I recommend is what I have witnessed working well on a large number of people. The Lecithin that I have seen work best with blockages is any that contains a minimum of 70 mg of phosphatides in each 1200 mg softgel, equivalent to 61 percent phosphatides. The value of a Lecithin product is determined by the percentage of phosphatides it contains, because they activate the fat emulsifying process in your body. So if you find a Lecithin product (or choline, which is also contained within Lecithin), that contains that percentage it will work well on breaking up blockages.
I also have to consider the price of supplements that I recommend. A lot of people are still sick because they can’t afford the cost of taking supplements regularly. Puritan’s Pride Lecithin works well on a large number of people, and is affordable, especially given the large amounts I recommend. Feel free to try other products as long as they match the ratio I describe here. As I am certain that Lecithin will do what I have promised, I recommend it, instead of Choline. I have never actually done any studies on taking Choline alone. I tend to stop investigating a supplement once I have gotten an answer. Lecithin worked so well and was cheap enough for everyone that I didn’t delve into Choline alone.

Today I started taking lecithin softgels 1,200 mg. I take 6 tablet at one time. Now I’m getting dizzy, my head starts to turn and I’m unable to concentrate.
Do I take too many softgels at a time or what.
please help.
Thanks
hansjoergk@outlook.com
Hi Hansjoerg,
Lecithin is an emulsifier and it causes your body to clean out a lot of organic debris, mucus, and any other wastes that it doesn’t need. Apparently, your system is pretty clogged up and too much waste is being released at one time. Cut back to 4 softgels twice a day. If that doesn’t clear your head, reduce the dose to 3 twice daily. That should be enough. Once your head clears it’s important to move the dosage back up to 6 twice daily to get the best results with ED. If it turns out that you can’t take softgels without getting dizzy, try the granules. One large tablespoon equals 6 softgels. Let me know how it works out.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
I’m trying to lose weight at the moment and the Lecithin Granules are 110 calories for 1 scoop. Can I substitute the Lecithin for Garlic Tablets temporarily? I heard Garlic is supposed to clean the arteries also.
Hi Jeff,
No, garlic cannot replace lecithin for cleaning out penile arteries and veins.
Diet or no, you need the lecithin. Reduce your calories elsewhere, and do not make decisions about supplements based on their caloric count.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Dear Lynn,
What a great website, so much information. I am 54 yrs old male and suffer from ED. For about six months. I have been taking Mega-Red which is Omege-3 Krill oil 300mg, and CoQ10 100mg, along with a B-complex vitamin made by Nutrigold along with Maca, L-Arginine, Tribulus,Long Jack,Horny Goat Weed,Muira Puama, Ginsing, Ginkgo Biloba, L-citrulline, and pumpkin seed oil. I take these for 3 or 4 days, and find it helps with my erections, but there not super hard like I would like. Also I get an increase of semen as well. The down side to these is it does increase your testosterone, which for me causes my hair loss to get worse, and slightly raises my blood pressure. So I cycle these and this helps. I went to the Doctor in January to get checked for the ED and all the blood test came back normal. He recommended Cialis 20mg. I did not get the order filled, because of all the side effects. That is why I have been doing the above. Then I found your website. You List LECITHIN,GINGKO, and RUTIN, to help with ED. but taking the other products that i have I must be getting some blood flow to the penis otherwise they would not work correct. So what would you recommend I do just take the three products you listed, or should I add something else.
Thank you
Robert
Hi there,
Follow the directions in the ED blog for taking the three supplements. You shouldn’t need anything else if the cause if blocked penile arteries.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
I would like to thank you for the efforts you’ve put in penning this blog.

Hi there,
I use Word Press. I had a free blog for 3 years, then upgraded to my own website on Word Press. I forget what I paid, but it isn’t much for the year. I’m very happy with the service I get on Word press. Check it out for yourself. It’s a great place to have your blog site.
Lynn
Hi Lynn, I have used a penis pump, and it has given me erections like I had more than two years ago, before I had ED. But the erections had no sensation, and after releasing the pressure, my penis quickly went back to its flaccid state. I have just started your ED regimen a few days ago, and I hope it works for me.
Hi Noel,
The treatment works for most men. Read the comments at the bottom of the blog. ED is a blockage, and category 3 illness, from my 7 Categories of Illness blog. Even the drug company ads now say that ED “could” be caused by a blockage. Well, in the majority of cases, it is simply a blockage, and also weak blood vessel walls inside the penis. The therapy takes all of that into consideration. Let me know how it goes.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Hi Lynn,
Last June, I posted a comment about problems I had with ED due to a prostate issue. I believe I’m still having some problems because I took a herb called Saw Palmetto (this is similar to prescription drugs like Proscar and Finasteride and has the same side effects). I took Saw Palmetto for exactly one year. My testicles look to me like they have decreased in size and my semen volume has also decreased.
I read somewhere in the blog about DHEA Youthful You. Would this help get my body back to normal? Would it interfere with my bodys ability to produce hormones on it’s own? Is there anything else that you think may help to correct this problem?
Your help greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Clyde
Hi Clyde,
Yes, I think that “Enzymatic Therapy” Brand DHEA “Youthful You” (capsules only), will help your problem. It is pharmaceutical grade and it signals your body to produce the proper amount of hormones at the proper time. It will not interfere with but rather will assist you body in producing the amount of hormones you need. DHEA is the only supplement you need for this problem, but you have to experiment with the dosages to get what’s best for you. You also have to stop taking anything else designed to effect this problem. It will only interfere with the DHEA’s ability to work. You have to try the DHEA alone for an extended period of time to see if it is working.
Let me know how it works for you, Lynn.
Thank you for your response Lynn.
I’m just wondering what would be an ideal dosage to start with and also over how long a period should I take DHEA? The Enzymatic Therapy website states not to exceed one 5mg capsule a day. I’m also concerned over the side effects listed on the Enzymatic Therapy website for this product. Is 5mg low enough not to cause any side effects yet be effective in getting my body back on track?
Thank you for your help.
Clyde
Hi Clyde,
Keep in mind what DHEA does in your body. It is a hormonal precursor, meaning that it does not actually replace hormones, but rather instructs your body to continue producing the appropriate amount. For a long time your body has been on “auto pilot,” concerning hormones. Now you have to fly the plane on your own. Each person is different, so you have to experiment with the amount that’s correct for you. And unless you want the plane to spiral quickly toward the ground, you have to take it every day, or nearly that often. Whatever amount you take washes out of your body after 24 hours, and you’re back to zero again.
Five mg capsules from Enzymatic Therapy Brand is a good start. There are people who are taking 100 mg or 500 mg, which I think is way too much. I actually open the 5 mg capsule and pour out a little onto a spoon and then mix it with water and place it under my tongue. Yes, 5 mg is enough to help you without side effects. But it’s tricky. Unlike other supplements where I give exact instructions as to how much to take each day, you can’t take the same amount of DHEA every day. That’s not the way hormones work. Your body varies the amount it would produce from day to day. So a cap may be good for 2-3 days, but then that amount would give you a side effect, and you would need to take less, for a day or two. Which would work fine for a couple of days. I don’t want to make it sound too complicated. I’ve worked it out and can tell from mild feelings whether I need to up or lower the dose. And it is now a simple routine for me.
It’s worth the effort when you get it right. It will turn your body back to an earlier, healthier time. Let me know how it goes.
Lynn
You have to take it each day, but somedays you’ll need the whole cap
Hi Lynn,
One last question, will taking DHEA affect my bodies ability to produce DHEA of it’s own accord? I’m curious in case I stop taking it at a later date.
Thanks again for your time
Clyde
Hi Clyde,
After a certain age your body stops making hormones, and DHEA production drops dramatically. DHEA as a supplement is a hormonal precursor, meaning it instructs your body to continue making hormones that it has stopped making. It is the lack of a correct hormonal balance that makes you age and lose other abilities you had your whole life. If your body were making enough DHEA and hormones, you wouldn’t need to take DHEA as a supplement, and you wouldn’t be showing signs of hormonal disruption. The “auto pilot” fails after a certain age, and you have to take over flying the plane manually. If you take DHEA it will trigger the production and replacement of the hormones that your body has stopped making. If you stop taking DHEA you will feel the difference, because on its own, your body will not make enough DHEA to regulate and produce the hormones you need. In other words, you don’t have to worry about whether taking DHEA as a supplement will interfere with your body’s ability to make its own DHEA or hormones. The event you’re worried about has already happened.
Let me know how it goes. Lynn

Hello Lynn, for the past 3 months I’ve been taking Lecithin softgels, Gingko Biloba and Rutin exactly as suggested in your blog. I’ve also been taking DL-Phenylalanine as suggested and 5mg dhea. I’ve also been using a special cream for the penis called Man 1 oil. Yes I am getting erections but not when I want them. I wake up in the early hrs of the morning with a very hard erection but no sensitivity at all. For years I have suffered with almost total loss of sensitivity in the penis. Yes I’ve been examined by urologists but they can’t find anything wrong. I did have lower back surgery in 1994 but my MRI scans do not reveal anything that might be causing the loss of sensitivity. However on a good note I can say that Lecithin is very helpful in other ways. I have noticed my mood has improved, less pain in my joints, increased energy, better focus, better eyesight. Your blog is wonderful, keep up the great work.
Hi Tony,
It’s nice to hear from you again. I’m very happy that you are liking the blog and getting some benefit out of it. I remember you from other comments you’ve left on the ED blog. I have nothing new to add that I haven’t already told you. If you want a more detailed and attentive response you will have to pay for a consultation, as I no longer do them for free. You can read about the policy change by clicking on the tab at the top of the page for “Policy Change For Free Consultations.
Lynn
I am using Lecithin 1200 x 2 per day and Inositol x 3 per day, magnesium, zinc, Vit C (1000mg), Aminostim 3 per day with no change in ED. I am also a D2 and 70 yrs old. I am 25kg overweight and battle to lose it due to the sugar problem.
Hi James,
I’ve got news for you. Your ED isn’t going to get better until you start following the instructions in the blog for ED. It calls for 6, 1200 mg Lecithin softgels daily, for a total of 12. Two will do NOTHING for your ED, which is why I recommended the 12 a day. You are also not taking the other recommended support vitamins, and a bunch of stuff that has NOTHING to do with ED. Follow the chart, please James. It works. But it won’t work if you keep improvising your own supplement schedule.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Hi there,
You are misinformed! THERE ARE NO SIDE EFFECTS TO TAKING LECITHIN. NONE. ZERO. ZILCH. It is one of the most life saving supplements available to us, as it fixes all blockages. Whoever is disseminating that dangerous lie should be ashamed. Lecithin saves lives everyday.
Lynn
Ok Lynn – I am on this for a month and hopefully I will be alive with a big Woody 🙂
Hi there,
Good decision. Let us know how it works out.
Lynn
I have found the lecithin granules/rutin/gingo combination to really enhance my sex life. After about 2 months of taking them, I noticed that after I ejaculate, I have a sort of burning sensation for up to a day afterwards. I urinate without any problems, no discharge, etc. Its only after ejaculation this happens. Could it be too much lecithin is irritating the tip of my penis? Thanks.
Hi Deano,
I have a new policy on answering questions outside the blog itself. Your question is simple so I will let it slide through, but in the future there will be a small charge. Please follow this link to read the full explanation.
https://lynncapehartwellness.com/policy-change-on-free-consults/
The answer is that you’re not drinking enough water when you take the supplements. Lecithin is dumping garbage not just from your penis, but you entire system. Some of the junk gets out through urination; it’s coming out too concentrated and has to be diluted. Drink lots of water when you take the supplements. Don’t just toss them back with a gulp like they do in the movies. Your body needs plenty of liquids to process the supplements.
Lynn
Lynn I just purchased Country Life Lecithin Granules that has 97% soy Phosphatides. The soy in this product should be the same as the lecithin in puritans pride right?? non threatening to Testosterone levels correct….??
Yes, John, that’s correct. There is no threat to your testosterone levels in a soy Lecithin product.
Lynn
Guys listen up!
Forget about the soy .. it’s the type that will not decrease testosterone in the slightest..
I’ve tried EVERYTHING to get me up and running again since my ‘experimental stages’ with prescription drugs and steroids. Never going to a western doctor again, after my knee surgery they got me hooked on oxy contin. Then I was depressed so they put me on a SSRI antidepressant that KILLS sexual desire and gives the user genital anesthesia ! Yeah … terrible!
I am only taking 8 lecithin a day as that is all I could get, Cant find rutin in Canada for the life of me (not 500 mg anyway)
Let me tell you I haven’t felt blood flow down there like this since pre drugs in general !
I just spent $1000 in hormone correction drugs that did nothing for me, yet my $12 bottle of soy lecithin has cleared me up in under a week! GO FIGURE!
I’m not 100% right now, more towards the high 80’s but still as time goes on Im sure it will improve all the way to 100%
I’m going to add in ginko and rutin soon and maybe even some DL-P
Do not hesitate to give this a try, through all my efforts to self heal, nothing comes close to this.
I’ll leave on the note that I have not had morning wood like this in 5 years, its such a nice feeling knowing Im normal again…. Jump on the wagon and read this blog till you have it memorized… it will change your life!
Tig is absolutely right. Try this treatment, you won’t be disappointed.

What about this study that linked lecithin with HIGHER levels of heart disease?
http://www.cleveland.com/healthfit/index.ssf/2011/04/cleveland_clinic_researchers_f_2.html
“Hazen’s group found that three substances formed from the breakdown of lecithin in the gut — choline, TMAO and betaine — all had a “dose-dependent” association with the presence of heart disease in about 1,900 patients who came in for a cardiac evaluation.
That means that the more of each of the molecules the patients had in their blood, the more likely they were to have heart disease, including peripheral artery disease, coronary artery disease and a history of heart attack. The association held even when the researchers took medication use and traditional heart disease risk factors such as smoking, high blood pressure and physical inactivity into account.
It also means that the more lecithin you eat, as with a high animal-product diet, the higher your risk of heart disease.”
???
Hi Robert,
I don’t believe so much in “medical studies.” What I’ve been saying about food supplements I’ve been saying for decades without deviation. But “medical studies” change continually; they clash and challenge and confuse, conflict and contradict each other to the extent that you can’t believe them. (A while back after Vitamin C had been in use in supplement form for over a half century with no problems, a “new study” came out saying it was bad for you. Little ole water-soluble Vitamin C? Naturally, a year later another study came out that contradicted it. And on and on)
Lecithin is an emulsifier; it will keep your arteries and other parts like joints, and lungs clear of any and all blockages. IT WILL NOT CONTRIBUTE TO HEART DISEASE. Just the opposite…it can single-handedly prevent heart disease. The study you read is WRONG. Listen to me and you will be fine.
Lynn
Lynn said: “Lecithin is an emulsifier; it will keep your arteries and other parts like joints, and lungs clear of any and all blockages.”
It will clear any and ALL blockages? But you offer absolutely no evidence to back this up even though the study says the opposite? Comparing it to the vitamin C study is like apples and oranges (and also passing the buck).
Just believe in you? Duh…uh…okay. Not.
Talk about narcissism…
Hi Robert,
Sometimes when people get brand new information they make the mistake of trying to look at and interpret it through the lens of old information. This process results in only preconceived and already accepted ideas that cause you to reject that which does not conform to the old learning. It also obviates the necessity of thinking for oneself. Today’s patients are not asked to think much, vis-à-vis their disorder, nor are their physicians Your doctor simply pulls out the latest study and does what it tells her and neither you nor her think about what you’re doing. And no matter the evidence to the contrary, if you don’t have a study you reject new information without thinking about it and doing independent study.
I am one individual with limited resources trying to heal and do some good in the world. I am not a corporation, and therefore cannot afford to hold studies to back up my statements. That is why I have started Lynn Capehart Wellness Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit…to raise funds to compile statistical results to satisfy the non-thinkers. Have you actually tried Lecithin for your ED? That’s part of the thinking process, to try something new, gather new information, and see if it works. If it does, that should give you more confidence and help you understand why if a single supplement can clear a blockage in the penis, it will clear blockages anywhere in the body. Did you read my use of Einstein’s Constancy Principle in Blog 30 to explain why I say unequivocally that Lecithin can and does clear out ANY blockage anywhere in the body? Did you read the other comments about ED—how successful Lecithin is in eliminating it? It’s not that hard if you will take the time to think about what I’m saying.
It isn’t narcissism nor arrogance, or egocentricity, or dogmatism that makes me say for the record that if you find any conflict with or contradiction between what I say in a blog and what was found in any study, it is the study that is flawed, not my blog. I do not post a blog on a disease or disorder until it has been tried and found to be successful. That is why I am so adamant that I’m right. I have witnessed the treatments work, so you reject them at your own peril.
And Robert, there is no need to be purposely rude when we’re trying to have an intelligent discourse in order to enlighten people on such an important topic. How does that help?
Lynn
Well, I’m sorry if I came off as rude or struck a nerve. It’s just a little troubling that you can dismiss a study or studies so quickly, yet are unable to offer any sort of proof that your ‘treatment’ or whatever you want to call it is correct.
And btw, I don’t have ED, but I do have a problem with increasing dietary fats without experiencing some sort of circulation issue. That’s why I thought perhaps the lecithin would help. LIke others below, I’m concerned about soy, so might consider sunflower or egg lecithin (although I’ve read the latter is oxidized…)
Good luck with your research/studies/non-profit.
p.s. Off topic, but it’s odd that wordpress doesn’t allow a direct reply to a reply. I have to go up to the first comment in the section to find the reply button……..
Hi Robert,
I understand that you’re just being careful and there’s nothing wrong with that. While I don’t have the studies I have decades of experience watching people heal and seeing how easy it is done. I was interviewed by a radio host who later told me her blood pressure (another blockage as far as the body is concerned), was regularly 240 over 180. I was stunned. I put her on lecithin and she told me that everyday that she took the proper dosage, her pressure went back to normal that same day. I have thousands of other recovery stories, but not the money to put it together as a study.
I am a careful person, but if you’re going to wait for the studies for my treatments it may be a while and I hate to see you miss out. I highly recommend that you use the lecithin to compensate for the fats in your diet, and to avoid a circulation problem. If you’re worried about soy try the sunflower. Reports back to me are that it works just as well. But I’ve never tried it myself. It won’t take long for you to see the difference Lecithin is making in your body, in areas you aren’t even aware of now. Also suggest you add 2000 mcg twice daily of Vitamin B12, which does amazing things for circulation. (Don’t use time released products.)
WordPress is so proud of itself but doesn’t seem to care that its comments function is so outdated and glitchy. Sometimes comments won’t post at all or won’t post at the top like they’re supposed to. Sorry for the inconvenience.
You have to follow your own heart and do what you think is best.
Good luck either way. Lynn.
Lynn….
I have high cholesterol and my blood pressure is high as well. I have been working out as of late and need to lose about 30 pounds. I am certainly not obese by any means – I just need to lose to get down to a “normal” weight. I have heard your reports on Lecithin so I have decided to “give it a try.” I have been taking the Puritan Lecithin over the past couple of months and have been taking it “excessively.” In the neighborhood of 8 to 10 1,600 mg tablets, three times daily. I am trying to “saturate” my system. Is this detrimental or bad? My last overall cholesterol reading was 214 and I am going in for a blood test this week, and am curious to see if there is a significant drop. Can you take too much?
Hi Ken,
You are following the correct procedure to “saturate” your system with Lecithin. And it is definitely what you need, as high cholesterol and high blood pressure are both assigned to the blockages category. Same cause and same cure.
Lecithin is one of the most important supplements available to us. I suppose if you took a whole bottle in one day, you would spend a lot of time on the toilet for a while having terrific bowel movements, but the doses you are taking are fine. Commendable, even. I can’t wait to hear how your new blood tests come out.
If you want a more detailed consultation please follow this link for an explanation of how to proceed:

Good luck, Lynn
Hi Lynn,
I have a problem with delayed ejaculation where it takes me a long long time to ejaculate. Do you have any advice for that? I know some people say that it’s a psychological issue, but in my case it’s definitely not. Even during masterbation it takes a long long time and I have to work hard. Thanks for any advice you have.
Ralph
Hi Ralph
What you are experiencing can be a real drag. You’re right that it’s not psychological; it’s strictly physical. If you could get excited enough you would have no trouble climaxing. Please read Blog 19: Increasing Sexual Pleasure and experiment with the dosage level I recommend. DL-PH stimulates your brain, where all pleasure really takes place. It greatly intensifies sexual feelings and makes the whole experience better.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Hi Lynn,
I’ve been taking Lecithin (14 1200mg capsules aday), Rutin 8 500mg capsules a day) and ginko (120mg a day).for the last 6 weeks. However, my erections are still weak and not rock solid as I would like them to be. Am I missing something? Furthermore, my penis glans and penis shaft also lack sensation.
Hi Jas,
Has there been any improvement whatsoever in your ED? It doesn’t look like you are missing anything. What you are taking and the length of time that has passed is usually enough too solve ED. I say in the blog that the therapy will only work if the problem stems from a blockage. Sometimes a lack of sensation will prevent an erection simply from lack of interest. Try reading Blog 19, Increasing Sexual Pleasure, and adding DL-PH to the regimen. It greatly increases sexual pleasure and desire. Are you taking any prescription meds that might interfere with the supplement regimen? Let me know so we can work this out. Don’t stop taking the supplements. Don’t give up. Maybe it’s just taking a little longer for you.
Lynn
Hi Lynn,
No change. I’ve upped the dose to 16 Lecithin and 10 Rutin a day. I’ve started taking DL-PH from today. See how that works. I am not mentally aroused sexually. Maybe therein lies my problem. Maybe too many years of masturbation and porn have finally caught up with me. If I can be aroused mentally, I’m sure everything else will click into place.
Hi Jas,
You may be right about the masturbation and porn catching up with you. Think of your sex drive and desire as a savings account. If you go in too frequently to tap the desire, you will end up with an empty account. You have to wait, hold off, abstain, for a while to permit the interest/desire to accrue. Right now, what is driving you is not true desire but the knowledge that if you masturbate you can find pleasure. But the account is empty from too much accessing. Try staying away from any sexual stimulus like porn and masturbation for a week. Then do whatever you want for one day only. Then back off again for a week. This behavior plus the DL-PA may help your problem.
Lynn
If the plumbing isn’t working right, after all Lynn says to do, you might try a visit to your chiropractor — with Xrays, he or she could determine that there is a pinching of the pudendal nerve, which powers the penis. Artery cleaning is certainly important for all of us. But if that nerve is switched off, so is the desired and normal effect. I realize I am nearly a year behind some of these comments, but someone else might see this information and gain relief from it.
Hi Lee,
Thanks for sharing this with my readers. My treatment will only work if the problem is blocked blood flow.
A pinched nerve could add to the problem, so this is good to know.
Lynn
Lynn…. I read in a review that Rutin made a individuals PSA levels go up!! Not to detract from your website and remedies because I believe you are doing the readers and public in general a good service for good health and fixing ailments …. just wondering why rutin would cause this particular individual’s PSA levels to go up. Here is the link….second review post
http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientreview-699-RUTIN.aspx?drugid=699&drugname=RUTIN
Hi John,
I read the PSA comment you linked. It doesn’t tell me much about the individual. Elevated Prostate Specific Antigens are associated with an enlargment of the prostate. It may also indicate prostate cancer, or a noncancerous condition such as prostatitis, or just an enlarged prostate. The average healthy level of PSA is 4, and most men who have prostate cancer have PSA levels higher than 4. But cancer is possible at any PSA level, even a normal reading. And it’s also possible for an individual to have a higher level of PSA for some reason, but still not have cancer or even enlargement.
I prescribe Lecithin to reduce the nodules that cause enlargement to the prostate. Since Lecithin is part of the ED treatment, along with Rutin and Ginkgo Biloba, there is no reason to worry. Lecithin will prevent enlargment which precedes cancer. As long as the vitamins are taken together the ED will be corrected without causing any other harm, unlike any prescription drug for the problem.
And never forget how often the medical industry changes its mind about substances. One year they’re bad, only to be cited as good later, and vice versa. I don’t trust the medical industry and their ever changing test results. Stay on the regimen. It will not hurt you.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Lynn,
Great information. What about delayed ejaculation where the penis is stimulated and the erection is very strong, but it takes very very long to ejaculate, and sometimes ejaculation never happens. Will your protocol help with this?
Wilson
Hi Wilson,
The protocol for ED is not enough for your problem. Usually, when climax and ejaculation are difficult it means that the sex just doesn’t feel good enough. If the experience were hotter, I believe you’d have less of a problem. Please read Blog 19: Increasing Sexual Pleasure. It will tell you how to use DLPA to heighten the experience. Hope this helps.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Lynn… I appreciate your Blog page on this particular subject and has gave me some good ideas for the long run…
I have some questions for you:
1. The fact that the puritans pride’s lecithin has soy in it…Will that suppress my testosterone levels.. (I am on TRT replacement (100 mg of test cyp every 7 days ) and feeling good… Just wondering if the the soy in the lecithin will effect my testosterone levels negatively???
2. So… Lecithin/Rutin/Ginko biloba… for good blood flow..i understand that because erections are from adequate levels of testosterone and blood flow…. question now is milligrams?????
Lecithin….<—- How many milligrams a day
Rutin……..<—- How many milligrams a day
Ginko Biloba <– How many milligrams a day
Hi John,
For questions on dosages please READ THE BLOG. At the bottom of the page is a Quick Glance Chart that gives you specifics about dosages of lecithin, rutin and gingko biloba.
Because of the way it is processed, lecithin should not interfere with your testosteroe levels. Lecithin helps clinical ED due to a blockage that is preventing adequate blood flow. Testosterone has to do with the amount of pleasure and passion you feel, like someone to whom you are not attracted would not trigger your desire, and therefore an erection. If the desire is there and you still cannot get and maintain an erection, then you need lecithin.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn
can Lecithin help with a hydrocele or varicocele?
many thanks
Clyde
Hi Clyde,
Yes, Lecithin can definitely help your hydrocele or varicocele, especially the type not associated with Hernias. A varicocele is swelling in the scrotum due to a back up of blood in the main veins of the scrotum. Varicoceles are most common among teenagers and adult men. This condition constitutes a blockage, and Lecithin will clear up any and all blockages.
Thanks for writing. Lynn
Hi Lynn
many thanks for the information. I have yet to try Lecithin.
I had a prostate problem 18 months ago. I was taking Saw palmetto for a year to help. I wouldn’t recommend taking this herbal product to anyone. It helped get rid of the prostate problem but caused ED and reduced semen volume.
I stopped taking Saw Palmetto in March of this year. I started to take Pine Pollen (tincture) as I had read this can help with prostate problems and also naturally raise your testosterone levels. So far, so good. I have seen some improvement over the past couple of months with my erections. Including cauliflower and broccoli in my diet has helped. I’ve cut out vegetarian soy products completely.
If anyone is interested in trying Pine Pollen – the tincture is the best way to take this. Check first that you don’t have an allergy to it. There are a few companies offering this as a tincture. My advice is to AVOID a company called Raw Forest Foods as this company is a SCAM and will NOT send you what you order – ignore the ‘good’ reviews on their website – they are fake.
I will try the Lecithin. I hope it works for me.
Clyde
Hi Clyde,
Thanks for sharing this information with my readers. I’m happy you’re getting help with your problem. I rarely use herbal remedies. I like the straight up supplements because there seem to be fewer variables to worry about. Please try the Lecithin. It can do the job all by itself without the other formulations that you mentioned. It is inexpensive and there are no side effects. It is gentle on your system.
Thanksk for writing. Lynn.
I have been taking the lecithin, rutin, and ginko for several weeks and have noticed alot of improvement in my erections. Strangely since I have been taking them my semen is now yellow instead of white. Is this normal and will it continue to be this way.
Hi there,
What an interesting question. There are many reasons why your semen might be yellowish, and none of them are any cause for concern. It could be an offshoot of the color of the Lecithin and Rutin combined, or maybe it’s being colored by the organic wastes that lecithin is causing to be expelled. Your body expels wastes in many ways. Don’t worry about it unless there is another symptom that shows up, then let me know right away. I’m happy to hear that your ED problem is working itself out. These three supplements, Lecithin, Rutin, and Ginkgo Biloba could cure about 90% of all ED cases.
Spread the word, and thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn, Solved the yellow problem by not taking any more of the Rutin. Still getting good benefits from the Lecithin and I also take the Ginko. Thanks.
Hi there,
Glad you figured out what it was, but like I said it was nothing to worry about. Please be on guard because Rutin is an integral part of the treatment for ED. Lecithin permits more blood flow, but if the penile artery walls are not strong enough, even though Lecithin helps you get an erection, it won’t last long enough because the blood will leak out. If you find this to be the case, put the Rutin back in your diet, and just learn to live with the coloring.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Great news Lynn,
Could you please let me know where I can get the Lecithin capsules and Rutin Puritan brand?
Hi Vijay,
Puritan’s Pride online or at 800-645-1030, Lecithin #303 and Rutin # 1561. Follow the quick glance chart in the blog.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn, I have a blockage due to smoking. Years ago when I would quit smoking my penis would be much larger. Now I have not smoked in years but I never gained any size back. Would lecithin help with blockage from cigarettes?
Thanks Don
Hi Don,
Smoking contricts blood vessels, inhibiting the flow of blood throughout. I think Lecithin wll get more blood flowing through your penis, which may plump up its size. Please read Blog 8 on protecting cigarette smokers’ health. Even though you no longer smoke, the supplements recommended there will help damage already done to your body by cigarettes, including your penis.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Hi Lynn
You are doing a terrific service for all the men out there. My problem is that I’m getting erections but they don’t last long enough for me to enter my girlfriend. Should I just take lots of rutin? Is that what will help keep my erection up for a while?
Thanks,
Ralph
Hi Ralph,
Thanks for your kind words. I hope you are sharing the link to my blog with others. Please reread the quick glance chart on Blog 14. Yes you need more Rutin. Lecithin opens up the blood vessels permitting an erection to form, but if the veins that remove blood from the penis have weak walls, the blood will leak out prematurely, causing a loss of erection. Rutin strengthens the walls and will cause the blood to remain in your penis until you are finished. Keep increasing your Rutin intake until you are happy. It is only food. It will not hurt you even if you take too much.
Thanks, for writing, Lynn.
Hi Lynn,
I started taking Vitamin D3 with Beta Carotene now for minor penis injury. I am wondering if you could recommend to me a solution for Low Testosterone and (CPPS/Prostatitis) for my young age. I think I suffered from anxiety and depression for many years and self doubt about my self.
Hi Ayman,
Did you read Blog 3: Inflammation, like I recommended? If not, you need to because you have a lot of it in your body. It will help you understand what’s happening in your body. Prostatitis is an inflammation of the prostate. To get rid of it, you need a minimum of 50 softgels (25,000 IU) of Beta Carotene taken twice daily with food. And stay on that amount indefinitely as a maintenance dose. Use Puritan’s Pride #1223. They’re small and good quality. You’ll appreciate the “small” part when you’re taking 100 a day. You need an amount that large to fight off the millions of free radicals causing the inflammation. Do it now and do it right, because the next step after a long term inflammation in your prostate is cancer.
Re low testosterone: Tell me how old you are. There is something that will trigger your body to make testosterone, but there is an issue of your taking too much and becoming overly aggressive. I’m grappling with how to help men with this problem without putting them in harm’s way.
Stay tuned and thanks for writing,
Lynn
I would like to know how to raise testosterone as well. I’m 30 years old. Thanks.
Hi Jeff,
How do you know you have low testosterone? What are your symptoms? Did a doctor diagnose you as such? If so, what is your number? Healthy ranges fro 300 to 1200, and less than 300 is considered low test.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
I took an online test at androgel.com. Low libido, no energy, decrease in strength, etc. Not sure what my number is. I’m just going by all of my symptoms.
Sent from my iPad
Hi there,
Try taking 5 mg, capsules only, of Enzymatic Brand DHEA, once a day in the morning. Monitor yourself and let someone close know to monitor you as well. You don’t want to go past the point of normalcy into an overly aggressive stae. If you find you are reacting more aggressively than normal, cut back to half a capsule in the morning, or drop to an every other day dosage. Also, please read Blog 19: Increasing Sexual Pleasure, and add DL-Phenylalanine to your diet daily as intructed. I use Puritan’s Pride brand #4050. Let me know how it works. I’ll be writing a blog in the near future giving detailed information on low testosterone…what causes it and how to fix it.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Oh I meant to ask you. Doesn’t DHEA convert to estrogen?
Sent from my iPad
Hi,
DHEA converts to estrogen and testosterone both. It is a precursor for hormone production. If you’re female, it will give you a different hormone balance than if you are male. But this is tricky, because you may have to tinker with the amount to get what is perfect for your own body. For instance, I’m female, but I can make myself more or less agressive depending on whether I take a whole 5 mg capsule or only part thereof.
One other important thing: Hormonal traits travel in packs, like wolves. So, maybe you want to increase a particular trait, like low testosterone…problem is that higher test comes with its cousin traits…like maybe a bit of arrogance, less patience, quicker thought processes, faster to react. See what I mean? You have to tinker until you get the balance where your test is high enough to make you happy, but not so high as to drastically alter your normal personality.
Thanks, for writing, Lynn.
I’m very confused. The only Enzymatic brand I could find is Enzymatic Therapy 7-Keto DHEA but this doesn’t boost testosterone. Am I looking at the correct supplement to boost testosterone?
Hi Tony,
Purchase Enzymatic Therapy brand, “Youthful You” DHEA 5 mg capsules. (Enzymatic Therapy is the name of the company, not the type of DHEA.) It will cause an increase in testosterone. But heed my words about monitoring yourself. When your test levels start to increase it’s going to feel really good, maybe too good, and that’s what you have to watch out for. Keep tinkering with the dosage until you get higher test, but not other hormonal traits you may not welcome, like increased heartbeat, appetites, energy levels, aggression, etc. DHEA can be a life saver, and a life-style saver, when used correctly and responsibly.
Please keep me apprised, Lynn.
Hi Lynn,
I really appreciate your quick reply. I am 36 and feel young probably because my athletic background over the last 16 years. I have checked my testosterone level since the age of 25 and its between 14 to 18 , the total number is 40 and I think its too low for my age, what do u think?. It has stayed in that range all this years and the cortisol( stress hormone)is too high. No doctor has confirmed the diagnose of prostatitis ( some say infection some say CPPS and some say testicular inflammation some say its all in the head) all the result came negative. Probably because I had contracted gonhorrea or chlamydia before?
I want to feel good about my health and enjoy healthy life and get rid of the discomfort in the pelvic and testicles. I dont have urinary symptoms only pain and discomfort.
God bless you
Ayman
Hi Ayman,
Normal testosterone is between 300 and 1200. I don’t understand your reference to 14 to 18. Please explain. Your problems are not in your head; whatever doctor told you that is a fool. Simply taking lecithin and beta carotene for an extended period should fix all your prostate problems. Any pain any where in the body signals inflammation. If you have pelvic pain you have an intense inflammation and need beta carotene. The enlarged prostate is a blockage and for that you need lecithin. Both BC and lecithin are simply nutritional food supplements. They will NOT hurt you. Start with my dosages and if you don’t get relief, especially from the pain, within a few days, add a third dose of 50 beta carotene at lunch time. The blockage will take a little longer to clean out and reduce the prostate. Just stay on the 6 lecithin twice daily indefinitely.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Maybe I made a mistake, but did you say 100 pills a day to help with prostate inlargement??
Hi Mike,
No, I said 100 a day to help with prostate inflammaton. (50 Beta Carotene in the morning with food, and 50 at night.) For prostate enlargement you need lecithin to decrease the size of the nodules causing the enlargement. Take 1200 mg lecithin softgels, 6 in the morning and 6 at night, on a daily basis, indefinitely…even after your prostate goes back to its normal size.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Is that 50mg in the morning and 50mg at night? I went to GMC and they sold only 15mg of Beta Carotene.
Hi Mike,
First, try your best not to buy your food supplements from GMC, even as a last resort, please. If you’re buying 15 mg Beta Carotene, that usually means it’s a dry form, and I’ve told you guys that only softgels will work. 15 mg is equivalent to 25,000 I U, and Beta Carotene is correctly measured in International Units, not milligrams. The 50 in the morning and 50 at night instruction is the number of softgels NOT the strength of each softgel. When you’re fighting inflammation it takes large doses to kill off the millions of free radicals triggering the inflammation. I suggest you order Puritan’s Pride product #1223, 25,000 IU BC. Unless you’re going to take the doses I recommend, save your money, because taking what the bottle says, 1-2 daily with food, will do nothing, NOTHING, to end inflammation.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Thanks Lynn,
Sorry to bother you so much. I am taking lecithin granules only is that enough or do I need the capsules too. Do I have to take the Beta Carotene forever or only when the prostate is fixed? Too much Coffee, chilli and chocolate makes pain worse.
The range stayed from 350 to 450, I thought its quite low for my age. The pain I am having is not too severe but annoying and discomfortable really causing low libido, impotence (sometimes) and low mood.
God bless
Ayman
Hi Ayman,
I would recommend you take both granules and softgels to be safe. Inflammation is present all throughout your body; it’s just manifesting itself in the prostate. You can stop taking Beta Carotene once you are certain the inflammation has passed, but I wouldn’t. Know that once you stop the BC the same conditions that were present and caused the inflammation in the first place will return. Frankly, I’m afraid not to take BC everyday. As I told you, the next step after a long term inflammation in the prostate is cancer. The only way to make sure that doesn’t happen is to keep taking the BC.
Coffee, chilie, and chocolate are very concentrated substances, and that’s why the pain is worse. Make sure to drink extra water whenever you use these products, or cut back on them.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Does Lecithin have to be from Puritan brand I understand they are from soyabeans I was told soya products are not good for men. Why not Lecithin soft gelsfrom Western family brand
Vijay
Hi Vijay,
If Lecithin eliminates ED, how could it be bad for men? Anyway, it’s one of the two most important supplements for all humans, men and women, to be taking. It also helps heart disease and other blockage-based disorders. No, you don’t have to take Puritan’s Pride brand. I recommend it only because I know it contains a minimum of 61 percent phosphatides. You can buy any brand if you are sure it contains that minimum. Not all brands do. If the brand you buy contains less than that amount it will not work to eliminate ED because it will not emulsify.
Thanks for writing,
Lynn
Hello Lynn, I am a frequent alcohol drinker. Will alcohol consumption effect the results of the supplements you suggest? Glad I found your blog!
Thanks
Hi Gary,
It’s not the frequency, but the amounts drunk each time. Alcohol in large doses is known to dull senses and effect sexual performance. It shouldn’t affect the way lecithin works on ED. But remember, even if the lecithin works, if you drink too much you will not be able to perform.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Would Lecithin bring down your Testosterone?
Hi MIke,
Lecithin will not bring down your testosterone. It won’t effect it in any way. Loss of testoserone is a hormonal problem. I know how to fix it but I hesitate to give the info to someone I’m not treating personally. The fix is very seductive and works well, but the person has to be monitored because they always feel that more is better. And it isn’t. Too much testosteeone can be a big problem.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Wow this really seems to be working! I was able to reach orgasm inside my girlfriend, and masturbation feels so much better now. Still not totally better, but this is massive improvement. Thanks. 🙂
Great news, David. Keep following the regimen and you can forgot about ED.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
I found a place that sells the granules in bulk. http://www.bulkfoods.com/whole-foods.asp?wholesale=4730 Would you recommend this place?
Yes, Jeff. I checked out the link you sent and their prices seem very fair. In fact I’m going to buy a pound of bee pollen granules myself. It is getting harder and harder to get the tablets, so the next best thing is the granules. They don’t melt very well except in hot water, like for tea. They have a slight, flowery taste I like.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Are those made from GMO or non-GMO soybeans? Isn’t it important to make sure they’re not genetically modified? Thanks in advance.
Hi Dan,
I don’t know if the soybeans used to make Lecithin are GMO or not. It’s certainly not a good idea to load up your diet with GMO products. But if the choice is between getting rid of ED by using Lecithin from GMO soybeans or not getting rid of ED, most men would take the GMO risk, and I don’t blame them. You can practice GMO avoidance with other products, perhaps?
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Does the Rutin have to be from Puritan Pride as well?
Hi Jeff,
None of the food supplements I recommend Have to come from Puritan’s Pride. I choose them because of the quality and price, because it can get expensive if you buy supplements from a local store. I have always been satisfied with the results I get when using their products. Although I do not recommend them for everything. And Rutin is sometimes hard to find. But you can use any Rutin that fits the dosage level. Beware of marketers who try to dress up supplements so they can charge more. You want a supplement containing Rutin only.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
HI again,
I found Non-GMO lecithin granules made by the “Now” brand. They also have ‘regular’ lecithin, so be sure to be specific in search engines.
But I guess my next question is — (and I don’t have ED, but do have poor circulation to my feet) — regarding your “recipe” above: Does one take either the capsules or the granules, or both? I’d prefer sticking with the granules for now…at least until I can find a non-GMO capsule.
Thanks in advance.
Hi Dan,
Thanks for giving us the info about NOW brand Lecithin. But don’t forget that for Lecithn to be able to emulsify blockages in the body, it must contain a minimum of 61 percent phosphatides. If it doesn’t, it will not work the way I have described in my blogs. Yes, you can use granules while you search for a non-GMO source of Lecithin. Actually, the granules are more potent (one tablespoon equals about 6 of the softgels in potency), and is less expensive.
For poor circulation I suggest you also add Vitamin B12, 1000 mcg, Nature’s Life brand, Vitaminlife.com. Take two tablets twice daily and it will get more oxygen in your system and improve your circulation. You can read more about B12 on Blog 18. If your poor circulation is due to Raynaud’s, you will also have to take Beta Carotene. See Blog 28 for more on Raynaud’s.
I understand Lecithin is good for Alzheimer’s decease. Does it really prevent blockages also?
Hi Vjay,
Alzheimer’s is caused by a blockage. Lecithin is an emulsifier and breaks up blockages everywhere in the body. If you take it regularly, you do not have to worry about dementia of any kind.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Am I meant to be taking the softgels and the granules together, or just one of them?
Hi James,
It is best to take both as it will speed up your recovery. But either one alone will work too. It is the same Lecithin supplement in two different forms. The granules are less expensive and more potent. One heaping tablespoon equals an entire dosage of 6 softgels.
Thanks for writng, Lynn.
Just wondering Lynn, why my comment above hasn’t been approved after 3 weeks? And why do you recommend a b12 that not only doesn’t say which kind of b12 it contains, but also has synthetic folic acid in it? Haven’t you heard of the harm it can cause?
Perhaps you might consider googling methylfolate or folinic acid, and the MTHFR genetic mutation.
Hi Dan,
I have a tab at the top of my page explaining problems I have with wordpress and comments. In addition to that, the site is suppose to inform me whenever I receive a comment, but they don’t always. I’m sorry your comment didn’t show up in my queue until this week.
Regarding my recommendations: We live in an imperfect world. So I weigh elements. Dangers against benefits, etc. without being so inflexible that I end up worrying about that which doesn’t truly matter in the long run, i.e. staying healthy. Most B12 is synthesized in a laboratory. It’s not perfect, but supplelmentation is the only way to get enough of the 2000 to 4000 mcg you need daily. I use that same B12 with folic acid and think it does a terrific job.
What I’m trying to do with my blog is educate people. You don’t have to follow my directions, but people who do always get better, even on the products that are making you less than happy. If you overthink this issue your health problems are not going to go away. I want yo to be happy, but if you are not satisfied with my blog product, content, or recommendation, you do not have to follow them.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Lynn, I appreciate your web site. I am following your recommendation as to the chart of lecithin, rutin, and ginkgo. I actually do take the dosages you suggest three times per day instead of two. I also am using the correct lecithin with 61 percent phosphatides. I also take the DLPA and beta carotene. I have been doing this for about three months now and I am not seeing the results I would like. I am 51 years old, not over weight and exercise(walking briskly two miles minimum daily). Is there anything else you can recommend. Thanks for your help in advance.
Hi Joe,
Three months should be enough time for you to see results. Remember I start the blog off by saying that this therapy will work only if the ED problem stems from a blood flow issue. Have you seen any results at all? If you have seen any movement toward eliminating the problem I would say keep taking the supplements, that it is just taking you longer. If you have seen absolutely no results I would guess your ED is not based on a blood flow problem. Nevertheless, these supplements are good for you and will protect you from numerous disorders like Alzheimers and heart disease, etc.
Let me know. Lynn
Dear Lynn,
As far as I go I’m 80% there in 3 weeks so now am going to take 8 Lecithins morning and evening along with a level table spoon of granules every morning and evening. I’m unable to carry stuff to work. Taking ginkgo and rutin as advised. Might increase rutins to 5 each dose. I really want to be spontaneous soon. But I’m still smiling now 🙂
I’m not worried about estrogenic effects of soy. Because the liver deals with that. Lecithin seems to be making my liver squeaky clean as well 🙂
Thank you Lynn. Yours humbly, Angelcupid
ps. I never realized capillary strength was so important
Hi Angelcupid,
Glad to hear the Lecithin is working for you. And you are so right that it is cleaning out your liver, along with your joints, and your entire arterial system including the pathways to your heart and brain. Stay in touch and let us know when you’re fully “spontaneous.”
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Thank you so much 🙂
Hi John,
You’re welcome!!
Lynn
Thanks for your intelligence Lynn. Viagra was not there in the last three decades but am sure good nutrition was the best. I am 28 and suffered a penile trauma when I was making love to my love. Went to doctors and left it to heal on itself, but still had a pain on the region which bled (a year now). Can’t maintain erection and thought as much that although I healed I have the artery blocked and still have debri disallowing blood to pass through. At this stage I will not need surgery, because I know its dead material blocking the flow of blood. So will use lecithin, rutin and biloba. will update everyone after a while.
Hi Jonso,
Lecithin will clean out the debris without surgery. Also recommend you read Blog 3: The Danger of Inflammation. Beta Carotene will stop the pain and bleeding and any other inflammation problem. Give the Lecithin time to clean out the arteries. If you can get an erection, but not maintain it long enough, that’s what the Rutin will correct. If the doses I gave help a little but you still have a problem, just up your dosage. It is only food and will not hurt you. Let us know how it goes.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Hi Lynn,
Your blog came up when I was googling ED some time last year. I was not totally convinced after reading your blog but I still bought Lecithin. I initially followed your recommended dosage but did not feel well the first day. Thereafter, I decided to cut down to 2 tablets in the morning and 2 in the evening. I did this for 5 days and on the 6th day had an intimate encounter. I had a very solid erection which lasted a while. My performance was stellar and at the end my partner was amazed, and told me that she felt my semen as it traveled through my penile shaft until it got inside her. She was amazed and the released semen was thick and increased in volume. I was also amazed by my performance. I smiled broadly, I did not tell her then that I had discovered Lecithin! I continued to use Lecithin after that but unfortunately I had to stop because my semen production was very high and every 3rd day I needed some release. My girlfriend was not able to keep up with my sudden increase of libido and performance. I now take Lecithin as needed in moderation. She now knows that I am on Lecithin and encourages me to take it when her ovulation days are around the corner!
I have not used Gingko Biloba and Rutin with my Lecithin. I am satisfied with Lecithin alone. I am 39 years old and my girlfriend is 35 years old. We are both in good shape (work out 3 times in a week), and at the moment without any health issues. Lecithin has made me feel like I am 18 years old again! Thanks for your information about this natural product!
Thanks, Jon
Hi Jon,
Glad you have discovered the wonders of Lecithin. It’s doing a lot of other useful things in your body and preventing many other blockage problems while it relieves your ED.
Tell your friends, and keep reading, Lynn
Hi there i was wondering if I took l-arginine and pycnogenol along with the lecithin therapy would it help? I’m starting to get erections again but they aren’t fully hard so I was thinking maybe I need to add something else? Im 29 and have had ED sine I was 26. I used to be a heavy smoker though, so my arteries in my penis are probably bad even though I haven’t smoked in a year now. Just need to finally sort out my ED.
Hi John,
No, you only need Lecithin, along with Rutin and Ginkgo Biloba as support supplements, to conquer ED. If you’ve been taking Lecithn (causes the erection to form), for weeks and are not completely satisfied with the results, it just means you have to take more of it…possibly double your intake twice daily. It is only food and will NOT hurt you. Remember to increase your Rutin (causes the erection to last) if the erection disappears too fast for you. Ginko Biloba thins the blood, letting more of it get into the penile arteries right away.
I’m curious. What makes you think that L-Arginine and Pycnogenol are going to help the blockage problem? Trust me, the three supplements I’ve mentioned are all you need. Save your money.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
It seems to be working Lynn, but the Lecithin seems to be making me gain weight. Is that normal?
I’ve never heard that one before, Ralph. It could be a temporary condition due to toxins being released from your body as Lecithin cleans out your arteries, joints, liver, brain, penis, etc. I wouldn’t worry about the weight gain for the next few weeks. See if it tapers off as your body cleanses itself. Also, are you certain that you haven’t been feeling better about yourself since the ED is no longer a problem, and maybe eating more? I know when I’m really happy I eat more and have to watch my weight at those times. Like at holidays.
Please stay in touch and let me know the outcome so I can tell others. Thanks for writing.
Lynn
Hi Lynn,
I am 31 year old and am single. I have been taking Homeopathic medicines for my hair fall problem for the past 3 years, and these doctors asked me to drink Soy milk everyday, saying it would improve my hair growth.
I used to watch adult videos and used to enjoy watching these videos and used to masturbate. No ED problem and I was perfectly all right. I started taking Soy Milk for past 2 years… but from past few (6 months) I see that my sexual feelings are reducing. I don’t feel anything now when I watch adult videos and I used to be attracted to a girl beauty and now I don’t have the same feelings :-(.
I was surfing and found the below blog about Soy milk.
http://www.menshealth.com/nutrition/soys-negative-effects
Now I’ve stopped drinking Soy milk for past 20 days.
I exercise regularly and eat almonds, figs, so I get up with good erection now but still my sexual feelings are not back to normal. As i mentioned I exercise everyday and my gym trainer suggested to me six months back to start taking Whey Protein. I’ve been taking one scoop of Whey Protein after my exercise everyday for the past 6 months. I checked my Whey protein (ON Brand Whey Protein Rocky Road) ingredients and it has SOY (Lecithin) INGREDIENTS :-(.
So I am thinking to stop taking this Whey protein because it has SOY ingredient and see whether my sexual feelings will come back to normal? Please provide your expert suggestion.
Anyhow I want to get back my those Great sex feelings :-(.
Thanks in advance for your quick response.
Hi Raj,
Are you aware that Soy Milk has a lot of estrogen in it, as in the “female” hormone? Japanese women are said to go through much fewer menopause symptoms because they use so much soy in their diets, tofu etc., and therefore have much more estrogen in their systems while they go through the process You were right to stop both soy milk and the whey product. By using soy products you have upset your hormonal balance. You are too estrogen heavy…not good for a 29 year old man. Can you drink regular milk?
Also please read Blog 19: Increasing Sexual Pleasure, about DL-Phenylalanine. It makes a big difference in sexual feelings.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn,
Thanks for your response. Sure I will start drinking regular milk from now on. And I will try to reply to you after 1 month about the progress.
And let me tell you that you are doing great work!!! Many people hesitate to discuss these problems, and its not easy to discuss these problems with just anybody. 🙂
Thanks, Raj
You’re welcome, Raj. Stay in touch and let us know how you’re doing.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
If I take this about 5 or 6 times a day will it speed things up ?
Hi David,
Yes more doses will mean a faster recovery, up to a point. With that many doses you will run into stomach distress. Also, there is a limit to how fast a body can digest supplements, assimilate the nutrition, and then make repairs. I would not go past four doses a day if I were you.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi
my boyfriend started this a week ago after one day we got great results and had sex afew times but next day it was gone and the ed was back. How can we solve this?
Hi Paula,
I don’t know if you’re still having this problem; it’s been a long time since you commented. Technical glitches on my blog. But I want you to have the information anyway. Supplements are like food: you eat, assimilate the nutrition, and thereby improve an array of disorders. That means that just like food, supplements will wear off and more have to be taken to maintain the newly found state of health and contentment.
Also, just like food, you can’t stop taking supplements, any more than you would decide to stop eating. At least not without suffering the circumstances of the return of deficiencies. If a man takes these supplements regularly, the same way he would be expected to eat regularly, then it should work…if a blockage or weak blood vessel walls are the cause. Based on your circumstances, i.e., that it worked once and right away, it sounds like that is the case with your boyfriend.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi
My boyfriend has been trying lecithin for bout a week now. After the first day it really worked and we had sex a couple of times that day, but the next day the ed was back. How can we solve this please?
Hi Paula,
He has to take it everyday, religiously. For some people it works immediately, for others it takes a while of everyday doses for it to work. Most men will find it works quickly.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Two words guys…IT WORKS!
Could it be that simple? ABSOLUTELY!
Stick with what Lynn is telling you to do and it will work! Lynn is spot on about clogged arteries in our bodies including the penis. I followed her advice to the letter and saw results quickly. I continue to follow her protocol and will do so for a very long time. Who wouldn’t seriously? It’s like being 20 again…:)
Most seem to have a hard time seeing Lecithin as food. Lecithin is in baked goods, and chocolate bars and many more things. Rutin is in citrus peels.
It is food.
Stick with the program she has quite clearly laid out for us. How clogged you are relates to the length of time it takes as Lynn says.
I found the lecithin granules worked better. My circulation is improved everywhere. I feel great! Another side effect is that my vision has improved. I had to get a weaker perscription filled. No one has any explanation…but I do 🙂
Another thing is to start eliminating the bad eating habits that got us there in the first place, and a little excercise will help too.
Lynn…You are awesome! Thanks!
Hi Stewart,
I am so happy to hear that you got results for ED with Lecithin. Pass the word along so we can help all the guys with the problem.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Just started trying this how long do I have to keep taking this for?
Hi David,
From a few days up to a month, or until ED is no longer a problem. I can’t know how badly clogged are your penile arteries.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi there to every body, it’s my first go to see of this web site; this blog contains remarkable and truly fine material for visitors.
Thanks for the positive feedback.
Lynn
Hi Lynn,
Thanks you very much for this information. I have been following the chart for some days and I think I’m starting to feel something different. Hope it’s a good sign. I have a question though. I heard that over 90% of soy products are GMO today. Should the lecithin be non-GMO then?
Hi Jinho,
Glad to hear you are getting some relief with Lecithin. I try to avoid GMO products whenever possible. If you can find Lecithin that states it is not GMO produced that’s fine. But I wouldn’t worry about it. In this situation, Lecithin performs too many vital functions in the body, live-saving functions, so that even if the Lecithin is GMO grown, it is better to take it than not to take it.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Dear Lynn, firstly your information re ED is second to none. I’ve been diagnosed by a Reumotologist with fibromyalgia and to be honest I’ve almost given up with life. As well as the pains in every part of my body I also suffer with almost total loss of sensitivity in the penis, insomnia, constipation, depression, cold hands, cold feet. Yes doctors have run all the blood tests, thyroid function, checked vitamins, minerals, lupus, diabetes, allergy checks for wheat, gluten, dairy etc., even had a brain scan, the list is endless. Your recommendation for taking Puritan’s Pride Sea Kelp #623, 150 mcg, one in the morning and one 20 minutes before bedtime does seem to be helping with the insomnia. Also taking fish oils, lecithin, ginko or rutin causes terrible stomach upset. I’ve read your tip that might help, taking Betaine Hydrochloride, 400 mg tablets, Puritan’s Pride #3850. I’m just wondering if these Betaine hydrochloride might help with my constipation? Already taking magnesium citrate 100mg, 4 in the morning and 4 at night which is helping a bit. I can achieve an erection and hold it but I just can’t ejaculate. I know lots of folk will says it’s all in the mind but I really don’t believe that at all. I’ve tried taking sublingual b12 methyl and although it helped with depression it didn’t make any difference to my sensitivity. Also my ejaculation is very weak, hardly producing anything at all. Does the lecithin, ginko and rutin help with sensitivity? That is all I care about, I just need to be able to ejaculate and the quicker the better. Any help greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Tony
Hi Tony,
Correct me if I’m wrong, but failure to ejaculate is the same as failure to climax, right? That’s why you’re complaining about insensitivity in your penis? Sex just doesn’t feel good enough for the pleasure to build and for you to have an orgasm? For starters, the easiest thing to do is read Blog 19: Increasing Sexual Pleasure and start taking DL-Phenylalanine as directed. Puritan’s Pride #4050. (800-645-1030) It stimulates the pleasure center in your brain. When taken 20 minutes before sex, it greatly enhances and increases feelings of pleasure. This amino acid will give you the best sex of your life. Try it and let me know if it works. If not we can try something else.
You should be taking Magnesium Oxide, not Magnesium Citrate for constipation. Betaine Hydrochloride is a stomach acid and would help constipation only if it stems from a digestion problem, e.g., you don’t chew your food well enough or long enough and it hits your intestines without the proper amount of advance digestion it needs to pass easily. Also, you need to eat something raw every time you eat a cooked food—either vegetable or fruit—to get the natural enzymes necessary for good digestion. (Fresh food only please, and not canned or frozen.) Whenever I take my vitamins twice daily, I always take Betaine H. Otherwise, I will get indigestion. But Betaine H. takes care of it.
For cold hands and cold feet, it sounds like a circulation problem. Please read Blog 28: Raynaud’s Disease, to see if the symptoms are similar to yours. Otherwise, buy Natures’ Life brand of Vitamin B12, 1000 mcg., and take two twice daily, morning and evening. I order it from Vitaminlife.com, 866-998-8855. It will increase the amount of oxygen getting to your hands and feet.
Thanks for writing. Lynn
Lynn thank you so much for your kindness and help. It really is very much appreciated. Totally blown away by your knowledge. I will try everthing as suggested and will let you know how it goes. Kind regards, Tony
Thanks for writing, Tony. Lynn
Hi Lynn,
I get a little upset stomach with the dosages you are recommending. I take the doses with food but tend to get a little upset. Any suggestions?
Hi Bob,
Sorry to hear you are having a problem. You should be taking the vitamins after you eat, not before. Maybe you should take them over a 10 minute period instead of all at once. If none of that works, purchase Betaine Hydrochloride, 400 mg tablets, Puritan’s Pride #3850. It is essentially stomach acid. Take one or two or three, or as many as you need to get relief. They will aid your digestion and solve your problem.
Let me know if it works. Lynn
I need to make sure the stats you put in the ED Quick Glance chart in Blog 14 are accurate because the bottle of Rutin says to take 1 pill daily and your chart recommends 8 pills. Is this correct and if so, is that healthy?
Hi Luis,
I understand your concern. But the amounts put on supplement bottles are always very low because manufacturers are worried about being sued. Plus, they really have no idea how to use supplements to heal. I do. I have no fear because I know that nutrition heals and does not harm. I have been experimenting with supplements for decades. No one has ever been harmed.
Rutin is part of the C Complex, along with Citrus Bioflavinoids. It’s derived from plants. It is a concentrated FOOD source. It will not hurt you, especially at the doses I recommend. But you cannot take less than the chart says and hope to conquer this problem. I take 5 Rutin, twice daily, to make sure my artery and brain walls remain strong and protected from things like stroke, bleeding gums, and varicose veins. You could take 2 or 3 times that amount and still be safe. It is only food.
If you are afraid to follow my dosage instructions for Rutin and decide to take what the bottle says, save your money and don’t take it at all. Because 1 tablet twice daily will do nothing to help eliminate ED. Nothing.
Thanks for writing. Lynn.
I am a 62 year old man. For the last 2 months I have noticed some problems in getting an erection, as well as retaining it. I am taking a low dose of Beta blocker for the last 4 years as I have some blood pressure problems plus a fast pulse rate. Do you think that your Blog 14 is good for me and will help cure these problems for a person like me.
Please reply back.
Thanks, Hyder
Hi Hyder.
Beta blockers are famous for causing ED problems. Luckily, Lecithin will clean out the penile arteries, as well as lower your blood pressure naturally. One of the reasons you have high blood pressure is your heart has to beat harder in order to push the blood through the narrowed passageways throughout your body, including your penis.
For the fast pulse rate you can take Sea Kelp which is also a sleep aid..buy Puritan’s Pride # 623, 150 mcg, and take one in the morning and one 20 minutes before bedtime.
Yes, I am certain that the therapy I recommend can help any man at any age who is having erectile problems.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Thank you very much Lynn. You are great. I ordered Lecithin & Rutin and will observe your chart dose. Will let you know the progress in a month. One more question: Can I do some penis stretching exercises to solve my penile venous leakage and ED problem? I mean it may be helpfull or not? Please advise. Thanks,
Hyder
Hi Hyder,
I don’t know if stretching is good or bad for the penis. I do know that only an emulsifyer like Lecithin can clean out the arteries and enable you to get an erection, and only Rutin can strengthen the arterial walls and enable you to hold on to an erection.
Let me know what happens, Lynn

Does the lecithin, ginko and rutin help with sensitivity? That is all I care about, I just need to be able to ejaculate and the quicker the better. Any help greatly appreciated. Kind regards Tony
Hi Tony,
This is a pretty old comment; I hope I can be of help as I just found it. If you are using Kelp with Iodine for insomnia you don’t have to worry about your thyroid. If you didn’t need the kelp you wouldn’t have the sleep problems. That probably indicates that your thyroid does need additional iodine.
I suggest you read Blog 19: Increasing Sexual Pleasure. It was written after you sent this comment. https://lynncapehartwellness.com/2011/07/10/blog-19-increasing-sexual-pleasure/ Also helpful would be Blog 47: Premature Ejaculation https://lynncapehartwellness.com/2016/12/19/blog-47-premature-ejaculation/
I know you said you have trouble ejaculating but both blogs will help you with this.
For Constipation you need Puritan’s Pride Item 53580, Absorbable Calcium, with Magnesium Oxide and D3. Take two with breakfast and four with dinner. If this doesn’t work, purchase Magnesium Oxide separately, Puritan’s Price Item 5537. Take one or more at breakfast and dinner as needed.
You have more problems than I can address here. May I suggest that you consider a private consultation. Check out the tab at the top of my home page.

What about using L-Arginine pills?
Hi Mo,
L-Arginine is not necessary. All you need are the Lecithin, Rutin, and Ginkgo Biloba to get the job done.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn,
Just a quick question. I don’t mind mixing lecithin granules in water and drinking them. In fact, I like the taste. It’s also less expensive than the softgels. So is it okay to use only lecithin granules for the lecithin portion of this regimen, or is there some benefit one gets from using the softgels that he wouldn’t get by using only lecithin granules?
Richard
Hi Richard,
Yes it’s okay to use only lecithin granules. They will work fine. One heaping tablespoon is equal to six of the softgels.

What if testosterone is low. Will Lecithin still improve sex drive?
Hi Mike,
That’s a good question. Testosterone has to do with the sex drive (desire), while Lecithin addresses the ability to perform, after the desire is stimulated. If you have the desire but not the ability to perform, then Lecithin and Rutin is the answer. But if you have no desire before taking Lecithin, it won’t make your desire stronger. If that is the case, why don’t you read Blog 19, Increasing Sexual Pleasure, about how you can use DL-Phenylalanine to stimulate sexual desire and feelings.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Hi Lynn,
Thank you for your helpful advice. I am confused, however. Using Lecithin my Triglycerides dropped from over 200 to 137 and my total cholesterol dropped to 125. Now, my concern is that I read that one’s cholesterol should not be lower than 160 since your brain, hormones, etc. need cholesterol. Is the emulsified cholesterol still available for brain and hormone requirements? Your insight would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ken
Hi Ken,
You have stumbled onto something really important! Good job! Your body is an interconnected biological machine, so yes, in addition to cleaning out arteries anywhere in your body, Lecithin also lowers cholesterol. If you have high blood pressure it will lower it as well. It will also clean out a fatty liver, and stop gout; it stops lung and sinus congestion; it helps keep your joints moving freely; it prevents Alzheimer’s & dementia, because they are a result of brain artery blockages; it dissolves gallstones and kidney stones, which are essentially hardened cholesterol. It does these things and more because they are all the result of blockages, and Lecithin is an emulsifier that breaks up blockages.
But this is a good thing. And having your triglycerides drop from 200 to 137 is fantastic! You should be telling people about this great substance called Lecithin, helping them to avoid the miseries that come with blockages mentioned above.
Regarding your overall cholesterol of 125: I would need to know more about your personal health to answer the question of whether that is too low a number for you. Yes, the cholesterol loosened by Lecithin is still available to the body. Too much would never be removed because the body seeks balance. Also, consider that when scientists establish norms and reflect them as a number, they are talking about an average. Lecithin will never make your cholesterol level drop below what is healthy for your particular body. Lecithin will NOT hurt you, not ever, no matter how much you take. It is the only thing that can save more of us from heart attacks and double bypasses.
It also works with ED, because that condition is a result of a lack of blood flow to the penis brought about by a blockage. That condition signifies that there are blockages elsewhere throughout a body. Men with ED may have a lot more to worry about than their penises. Low blood flow in your penis is troubling, yes, but low blood flow to your heart and you’ve having a heart attack, and probably dying because it’s the biggest killer of Americans. Low blood flow to your brain, and you’re getting Alzheimer’s or other dementia, dribbling spit onto your chest and unable to remember your spouse’s name. So, Lecithin is an important component of a healthy diet.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.

Dear Lynn
I have just read your article and am hoping it will help my partner. He also has diabetes, however, the ED started long after he was diagnosed, which makes me think that isn’t the problem. Are we barking up the wrong tree and just put it down to the diabetes??? I have phoned our pharmacy and they are looking into all the products you have listed. So thankyou for your help and I’m hoping it all works out. If it doesn’t work can we email you for further assistance?? Viagra doesn’t work nor cialis. Fingers crossed.
Cheers
Lynne
Hi Lynne,
Diabetes (I’m assuming it’s type 2), and ED are caused by two different problems. Although it is possible to have both and to cure both in a short time.
The best thing for diabetes is Monavie. Diabetes is caused by an overly aggressive and undernourished immune system…it is an auto-immune disorder. The best thing for ED is lecithin because it is caused by a blockage, preventing enough blood from getting to and remaining in the penis. Lecithin will clean out all the arteries includinig those in the penis. You also need Rutin to make sure the veins that carry blood out of the penis are strong enough to hold it there for the entire act. If blood can’t get in, or it can’t be held there, you have ED.
I recommend that you do a close reading of both blogs 13 and 14. A careful, slow reading. Everything you need to know to stop both disorders is there for you. I have seen both of these disorders happily fixed by using the simple supplements listed in the blogs. Read some of the other comments on ED and you’ll see that a lot of couples are having great success at getting their love life back.
If you have any problems with either of these disorders after you read the blogs and try the therapies, please continue to send in comments and I’ll respond quickly. I’m certain that if you are patient and follow the Quick Glance Charts both of these problems will be over in less than 30 days.
Thanks for writing and please stay in touch.

Lynn,
Will Lecithin reduce cholesterol or triglycerides? With atherosclerosis from high cholesterol, the blood vessels become so hard it appears that no amount of Rutin would allow the outgoing blood from being shut off.
Ken
Hi Ken,
Yes, lecithin will reduce cholesterol and triglycerides. It will also lower high blood pressure, break up kidney stones and gallstones, and remove plaque from your arteries. Based on your comment I would say that you need to really go at the lecithin. You should increase your lecithin to 8 softgels, three times daily for the next eight weeks. That will give lecithin time to soften and remove the plaque that’s causing the hardening of the blood vessels. You can’t take too much. It will not hurt you no matter how much you take. So if eight weeks are not enough, keep taking large amounts for a longer time period. I promise that it will work eventually. Let me know later how you’re doing please. And thanks for writing.
Lynn
Lynn,
Thanks for your unique and effective approach. Use of Lecithin has worked for me just as you said. My question is that although my blood flow has come back along with an occasional spontaneous erection, I still cannot keep it up for any length of time, as I used to when I was younger. Do I need more than 8 capsules of Rutin daily or would something else help?
Thanks,
Ken
Hi Ken,
I’m glad to hear that Lecithin is working for you. First, are you also taking Ginkgo Biloba, a blood thinner which increases blood flow to the penis? This is an important part of the therapy. To answer your question, my dosage recommendations are a base line for you to start. Rutin strengthens the arterial and vein walls. Getting blood into the penis is only half the solution. The other half is to keep the blood from leaving the penis until you are finished. That is Rutin’s job. If 4 twice daily don’t work, then move it up to 5, 6, 7, or whatever, twice daily, until you get the desired result. Rutin is only nutrition and it will not hurt you. When you reach the daily dosage level of Rutin that permits you to maintain your erection all the way through the act and beyond, that should become your maintenance dose.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn,
You are definitely on to something. I have come to a very similar conclusion on my own.
My back story is that I discovered that I was gluten intolerant just over 4 years ago. I got very very sick. My symptoms mimicked prostatitis and a bladder infection. My MD and Urologist threw in the towel after not finding any infection. They both said I would have to live with it. Not good enough for me. I did a lot of research and went on a gluten-free diet and within a month my symptoms all disappeared!
I was suffering with what you call category 2 & category 5…inflamation and auto-immune. I had been intolerant without realizing it for 44 years! I am in good shape and not overweight. I eat well and I don’t drink, don’t smoke and run 20 to 100 kilometers a week. Definitely not a candidate for arterial blockages right?
I read that gluten intolerance is also linked with gallbladder issues. Funny thing is I had a gallbladder attack that lasted eight days about a year ago. The MD scheduled me for a scan 4 days after seeing her. I read about lecithin helping some people with the pain. I started taking lecithin that night and two days later my pain was gone, except I got this massive headache when I was taking lecithin. My scan showed no stones or sludge…no surgery required! The stones had vanished! What I also noticed is that my brain fog and fatigue had also disappeared.
So I deduced that all the years of inflamation and auto-immune caused blockages. I didn’t have any ED issues until I changed my diet. I further deduced that the blockages may have shifted to different areas (heart, liver, gallblader, penis…) now that the inflamation went down.
Then I accidentally discovered something. If I ate raw garlic everything was “normal” in the erection area for a couple of days. So i started eating a clove a day. I had heard that garlic is supposedly a good artery cleaner. So I was basically scrubbing my arteries on the inside without a means of debris disposal. I decided that I needed something to transport the “debris” out of my body. I started researching Lecithin again. Then I started taking Lecithin regularily. I developed a very bad headache again after two days of use. This time I continued headache or no. I figured that it was due to all toxins being released from my body. I kept taking it and after a couple of days the headache went away and I have never felt better…and I’m really back to normal in every area. ED, what ED problem?
Like you I believe that blockages lead to and mimick many other disorders. If we can rid ourselves of these blockages then our body can heal itself.
I am slowly raising my intake of lecithin. I haven’t reached the levels you have suggested. I already see a huge difference! Like I said you’re on to something! Thank you so much for your guidelines and information! I am sure you will help others if they give it a chance!
For all the guys out there with prostatitis…you may be suffering from a food intolerance. No amount of antibiotics will ever cure that. The only change you will need to make is to avoid the foods you are allergic to…and take your lecithin too!
Hi there Stewart,
You have made some great discoveries on your own about Lecithin and healing with nutrition in general. There are only 7 things that go wrong with the body, and a blockage is one of them. It accounts for hundreds of diseases and disorders that on the surface appear to have nothing in common, but actually all have the same root cause. By using Lecithin, you not only protect yourself from ED, but other blockage disorders like Alzheimers and heart disease.
If your prostatitis should ever return, you may want to read my blog on inflammation, because it is caused by inflammation and not a blockage. You may need to add Beta Carotene to your additional nutritional intake to prevent it and other inflammation disorders like cancer.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Thanks Lynn!
You are absolutely right about inflamation! One of the things I discovered during this whole process is what “normal” is. I had suffered from inflamation my whole life due to my yet “undiscovered” gluten intolerance. Only after I changed my diet and the inflamation went away did I know what no inflamation felt like. I had never been “normal” ever before in my life. I wonder how many other people have inflamation and don’t even realize it! I actually never had prostatitis or cronic pelvic pain syndrome either (my doctors had to call it something)…I just had inflamation caused by a food intolerance just like you said. They were only treating a symptom and never researched the cause. I did a lot of research on my own to come the the very same conclusion as you have. Even now if I get exposed to gluten (even trace amounts) my inflamation comes back. Now I know what it feels like! Thanks for the information on beta-carotene. I will be sure to add it to my protocol. I am sure it will help! Thanks for your clear information on free-radicals too!
Although I am no expert, I do believe that inflamation may lead to blockages elsewhere in the body. An analogy would be that if the flow of a sewer pipe is constrained there will eventually be a blockage somewhere up the line or at the very least a collection of debris would form where the pipe gets smaller and debris could not flow freely through the smaller opening. Once the constraint is removed you may have a large amount of “stuff’ moving around and settling in other areas. This of course may lead to the other health issues you discuss in your blog. Basically I like to think of the heart as a pump and the liver and kidneys as filters…so they too may need a bit of a scrub…just saying 🙂 Thats why I’m taking lethicin.
Like you I believe that my body is designed to heal itself if I give it the nutrients and care it needs….keyword…care.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
You’re the best!
Stewart
This comment was left by a reader on the Allergies Blog, but as it pertains also to ED, I’m reposting it here along with my response.
Bryan Gallatin
I must say that this is one of the most well documented health blogs I’ve ever seen.
I have an allergy to aspirin; if I take one I should just go to the hospital then and avoid the unpleasentness that is to follow. Anyway, as a bonus to the aspirin allergy I have persistent nasal polyps that have been surgically removed at least 7 times (Sampter’s Triad). These polyps grow over my smell receptors causing me to have no sense of smell for over 12 years (When they do the surgery I can usually smell for a month or so before they grow back). I have tried all sorts of stuff to minimize the effects of the polyps but to no avail.
I read your posting on Erectile Dysfunction because I also suffer with that and started following your proposed treatment with Lecithin and Ginko Biloba. (I also added a male multi-vitamin and a megadose of B-Complex) Yes, my ED issues are improving, but the real shocker is that I can smell for the first time in 12 years. Now, I don’t know what it is I am smelling or if it is a good smell or a bad smell because I have forgotten what things smell like (imagine a blind man gets his sight back and you hold up a blue dot and ask him what color it is….no point of reference), but at least I can detect odors now and breath effortlessly through my nose. I’m not sure if there has been any studies done on the Lecithin (I think that is the main player here) and polyps, but it would be interesting to see.
Thanks again…..I’ll be reading more of your posts later.
Hi Brian,
What a great comment! You have touched on an important concept behind my theories. There are only seven things that can go wrong with the human body. I am planning on writing an essay on this topic in the future, but since you’ve stumbled on it by yourself, I want to take the time to enlighten you here. You are correct that Lecithin is what has improved both conditions, because both conditions stem from the same problem, a blockage.
The seven categories are:
Category 1: Simple Malnutrition
Category 2: Inflammation
Category 3: Blockage
Category 4: Excess Toxicity
Category 5: Auto-Immune
Category 6: Viruses
Category 7: Hormonal Malfunction
That’s it. No matter what disorder or disease you contract, I can treat it by placing it in one of these seven categories, sometimes more than one for diseases like asthma. You can have a bunch of things wrong but they are all usually separate manifestations of a single category disorder. You seem to have a lot of problems with Category 3: Blockages. That is what causes the ED and the nose polyps. I’m willing to bet that you may also have other problems that stem from this same source.
Lecithin is an incredible emulsifier that breaks up blockages in your arteries, joints, heart, lungs, penis, liver, brain, sinuses and other places. It breaks up cholesterol and removes it from the body. It lowers high blood pressure, another blockage. It will break up a kidney stone or a gall stone and remove the organic debris from your body. If you read the Page on “Supplements Discussed” and check out the blogs that feature the use of Lecithin, you’ll be amazed at all the disorders caused by a simple blockage.
If you continue to take Lecithin regularly, everyday, your polyps will never return, neither will the ED. You’ll also be protected against other disorders like Alzheimer’s and heart disease—both caused by blockages. I also want to suggest that you add Beta Carotene as a regular supplement along with the Lecithin, since inflammation usually accompanies the polyps. Buy 25,000 I.U. softgels only. Take 10 with breakfast and 10 with dinner.
Regarding your aspirin allergy. If you don’t have the polyps you don’t need to take aspirin, right? You can take ibuprophen or something else for pain, right? Otherwise, if you have to keep taking aspirin for any reason, follow the instructions in the Allergy Blog to avoid a bad reaction.
Thanks for writing, and please keep reading. Tell you friends too.

Will Lecithin with 420mg of Phosphatidyl Choline work as well?
Ken
Hi Ken,
420 mg of phosphatidylcholine is 2.5 times more than that found in the brand I recommend, Puritan’s Pride. However, phosphatidylcholine is just one of the elements to look for. Please check the label again. See how many milligrams of “phosphatides” generally are in the product. For a 1200 mg softgel Lecithin product you want a minimum of 732 mgs of “phosphatides,” equivalent to 61 percent. The value of a Lecithin product is determined by the percentage of “phosphatides” it contains, not just how much phosphatidylcholine it has, because “phosphatides” activate the emulsifying process in your body. “Phosphatides” are what will actually clean out the penile arterial system and stop ED. The lower the “phosphatide” count of the Lecithin you use, the less effective it will be in ending ED. I recommend Puritan’s Pride because I know it works—I’ve used it for years with my subjects—but you may use another brand if it meets or exceeds the recommended specifications for “phosphatides,” i.e., 61 percent or greater.
Thanks for writing.
Lynn
Hi Lynn, the other thing I needed to ask. I’ve just looked in my local holland and barrett and they do a lecithin 1,200mg soft gel which contains 732mg phosphatides. This seems a lot higher than the Puritan’s pride soft gels. Does that mean it will work better? Not sure I should take 12 of these capsules per day as you suggest with the Puritan’s Pride soft gels as it does seem very high?
Actually Tony, Puritan’s Pride also has 732 mg phosphatides, which represents 61 percent of the total 1200 mg. Both products are equal so have at it. Remember what lecithin is doing inside your body. It’s clearing out all of your arteries, your sinuses, your lungs, your liver, anywhere there is excess plaque and organic debris preventing the smoooth flow of blood, including the penis. It would be really hard to take too much lecithin, even if you quadrupled the suggested dosage. You have nothing to fear from lecithin.
Thanks for wiriting, Lynn
Hi Lynn, hope you don’t mind me asking another question but just a bit worried. I’ve read the reason lecithin can be a problem in high doses is because it is very high in phosphorus. In high levels phosphorus can lead to bone breakdown. Recommended dose is 1 tablespoon 3 times daily. It can be sprinkled on food or blended in smoothies. Do I need to worry about my bones or should I perhaps take a calcium supplement with it? Thanks
Hi Tony,
No problem, ask as many questions as you want. What you read is a lie. You notice how you’ll read one thing one week, then months later they come out and say, “oops, we didn’t really mean that.” Then they give you more misleading information. There was a time a while back, after Vitamin C had been in use for about 50 years, that they were suddenly tellling you it was bad for you. Oh, but now, it’s ok to take again. They don’t know what they’re talking about, seriously, so ignore them.
You want to get well? Forget what you hear from anyone but me. No one else has done this kind of research and developed an entire new paradigm for wellness. Lecithin cannot and will not hurt you or your bones or any other part of your body. It will get rid of plaque buildup inside of joints that cause loss of mobility. For people crippled with rheumatoid arthritis which does hideous things to bones and joints, I place them on 7 softgels, three times daily of the 1200 mg lecithin softgels. All it does then is give them back their mobility.
Take as much lecithin as you want. There are no side effects, no reactions whatsoever, except you will notice that you are coughing up mucus as lecithin breaks up blockages in your body. You have nothing to fear from supplements. You are a very sick man and you need all that I have recommended to you.
Lynn
Lynn this is without a doubt the best discussion I’ve ever seen on erectile dysfunction. Thank you so much for posting this information. I have seen other sites mention Lecithin but they don’t give quantities, product names etc and they certainly didn’t mention ginko or rutin. I’m really desperate for this to work and just wondered is the lecithin granules better than the soft gels. I don’t care about the money, I just need the best. I had spinal surgery 1994 for ongoing back pain issues and I seemed okay for about 5 years but the pain returned again. For the last 7 years I have suffered with fatigue and pains in every joint of my body and I’ve now been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Something that seems to have helped with my back pain is wsn nerve support formula. I was also hoping it would restore sensation in my penis. Unfortunately it hasn’t made any difference, my penis is totally dead. No sensation at all and I’m unable to achieve an ejaculation through sex. I can achieve an ejaculation through masterbation but it can take me over one hour and the ejaculation is very weak with a very short burst of semen. I can’t even feel my orgasm, it just feels weak, can hardly feel any sensation at all. Obviously this has put a strain on my relationship and to be honest I wish I was dead. I have spent a fortune on supplements, erection creams, pills and all sorts of state of the art health supplements but to no avail. Yes every blood test possible has been performed on my, doctors keep telling me yes testosterone is fine, thyroid fine, very good blood pressure. The list is endless and I’m too tired to type every blood test, I’ve spent a fortune on a private endocrinologist and he couldn’t find aything wrong, even did an mri scan on my pituatry gland. My confidence is zero and I’ve struggled so hard to stay in work and don’t know how much more I can take. I feel so weak and run down and depressed. The very strange thing that happened to me was i remember one day a a few months ago feeling so exhausted from sleep deprivation that I slept right through for a whole 14 hours. I woke up and felt like a miracle had happened, I felt like my old self. My mind was razor sharp and I didn’t feel any pain at all. I went out for a run, I was running up and down the stairs like a young man. I even woke up with a rock hard penis and felt ready for action. It was the most amazing feeling, I honestly thought I’d been cured. Next day I went back to feeling like a zombie. Therefore I’m sure that fibromyalgia and my sex drive are linked with sleep. If I take even just a quarter pill of viagra I do get rock hard. Now my doctor told me that because I get rock hard with a small dose of viagra then that means I’m okay physically and that is must be due to depression. Would you agree with that? Anyway any help or advice greatly appreciated. Yes some of the english and spelling will look like crap but just typing this little essay has taken me well over an hour, that is the fibromyalgia. Thanks
Bob, I don’t know anything about Chinese herbs. Sorry, I can’t help you with that.

Any concerns on the way soy lecithin is made with hexane?
Hey Bob,
No, I am not concerned that hexane, a petroleum based product, is used to extract lecithin from soybean oil. I have been using lecithin in softgel and granular form for decades. I have witnessed it bring people back out of the fog of dementia, repair marriages where ED was a contributing factor to the problems, permit those in wheelchairs to walk again, provide easy breathing for the asthmatic, prevent heart attack, lower high blood pressure and cholesterol, and more. All because of its ability to break up blockages. The extraction process does not sound pretty, but I have never seen a single case of someone being harmed by taking lecithin. And as you see I recommend large doses of it.
The most lecithin I have seen someone consume as a means to ending a disorder was a woman named Sue who lives in San Diego. She had a crippling case of RA. After 30 days on lecithin she went from having trouble crossing a room to running five miles along the beach everyday. She took eight lecithin softgels 4 times daily for months, before cutting back to six lecithin 3 times daily as a maintenance dose. All it did was give her back her mobility. Lecithin is completely safe the way I recommend it to be taken.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Thanks Lynn, any feedback you can give on Chinese herbs/ that are marketed to help with ED.
Hi Lynn…..
I have everything I need and ordered the soy capsules through Puritan, but I do not have the granules. What if I took 6 Lecithin, 4 Rutin tablets and a Ginko capsule at Breakfast, and repeated it again at lunch and dinner? Would I have positive results? I would add a lunch time dose in lieu of the granules, because I just don’t have the time in the morning to eat a prepared breakfast with granules. Would it still work?
Hi KH,
Thanks for your comment. Yes, you absolutely can achieve the positive results that I mention without using Lecithin granules. The softgels alone will open up the arteries and let more blood flow in. I know what you mean about being short on time in the morning. I list the granules because there are people who don’t like swallowing the softgels. But you don’t need to take both. The softgels alone will eliminate the blockage.
Your dosage regimen of three times daily is terrific. Twice a day would get you there in time. Three times a day will get you there faster. I suggest taking the supplements three times daily for a month, then reducing to twice daily. If the blockage problem returns after you reduce your dosage, you know that you have to continue at the higher level of three times daily.
You have to keep taking the supplements daily as a maintenance dose or the problem will return. All you are doing is correcting a deficiency with concentrated food sources. Stop that extra nutritional imput and the deficiency will return.
Write back if you have more questions. Good luck. The chances are 9.5 out of 10 that this regimen will eliminate the blockage problem for good.
Lynn
Hi Lynn,
Regarding the rutin dosage, am I correct in assuming that I need to take FOUR 500mg tablets TWICE a day? That seems like a ton, but if that’s what you recommend, I’ll do it.
Great blog. Thanks.
Craig
Hi Craig,
Yes, you are correct, but 2000 mg twice daily isn’t that much. Think of the purpose for the large doses of Rutin. To get and maintain an erection a man needs two things to happen nearly simultaneously:
First: he needs sufficient blood flow into the penis, which is the purpose of taking lecithin. Lecithin cleans out the arterial system inside the penis permitting enough blood flow to enter and cause the erection.
Second: But! Blood getting into the penis is only half the problem. You also have to be able to hold the blood there until you are finished with the event. That’s where Rutin comes in. Rutin will strengthen the walls of the entire arterial system, including the veins that are supposed to shut down and trap blood in the penile blood vessels. The same veins that help you to accomplish step two of a strong erection–holding the blood in the penis.
Rutin is part of the C Complex. It is water soluable and therefore will not build up within your system, and cannot hurt you. It will also protect you from a lot of other nasty disorders like aneurysm brain stroke, rosacea, nosebleeds, hemorrhoids, eye hemorrhage, bleeding gums, varicose veins, bloodshot eyes, anything associated with weak blood vessel walls.
If I were a man facing this problem I would take even more Rutin. It’s nothing more than a concentrated food source. You don’t expect a problem if you eat too much turkey at Thanksgiving. Same thing here. It’s only food. Go for it. Along with Lecithin and Ginkgo Biloba the problem will be easily solved for 90 percent of men effected by it.
Thanks for writing,
Lynn
Hi Lynn,
I was wondering how long it will take to clear the arteries and no longer have to take the lecithin. My husband has suffered from ED since we started dating, he was only 32 years old. But for years he had a completely active sex life. We have tried kegal exercises, which help temporarily. They helped us be able to have children. I don’t beleive we would have been able to even get pregnant without him having to do the exercises daily for a few weeks. After awhile the exercises seem to loose effectiveness. Anyway I am really looking forward to seeing if this makes a difference on a permanant basis, I’d like your opinion on the long term results. As far as Dr’s we never have been able to find one who could figure out anything. They did blood work and everything was normal. Most said it was probably mental. My husband has always argued that he doesn’t believe it is mental; he said something just doesn’t feel right down there. Anyway thank you for you thoughts on this, and I am going to convince him to give this a try. He has lived with this for 6 years, and seriously it has to be more frustrating for him then me. And I know I’m very frustrated. It’s caused more problems in our marriage than anything. I just really hope this helps.
Liz
Hi Liz,
You have to get in the right frame of mind about lecithin usage. It is not a drug one takes for a limited time to alleviate a condition. It is a concentrated food source one takes to stop a deficiency, to repair a body and prevent a condition from returning. Your husband’s body has a blockage from a deficiency that lecithin will correct. He will have to take this additional food source—lecithin—daily for the rest of his life, and for the same reasons that he expects to have to eat everyday for the rest of his life. Because his body needs the nutrition.
Think this through. Look at the underlying problem going on in his body right now. With ED you have a positive indicator of a blockage. The penile arterial system is part of the same system that feeds the heart and the brain. If there is an overt sign of a blockage in the penis, it is also indication that other parts of the arterial system may be blocked as well. Blockages in the arteries leading to the heart lead to angina pain and heart attack down the road. Blockages in the brain lead to memory loss, dementia, and Alzheimer’s.
Some men experience improvement the day after they take their first two doses of lecithin. It can take up to 30 days. (Once I heard of it taking six weeks, but he didn’t take lecithin twice daily like the instructions say.) If your husband stops taking lecithin, the blockage will return along with the ED, because whatever conditions caused the ED originally will always be there.
I agree with your husband that it is most likely not in his mind. And that is true for most men, up to 90 percent, regardless of their age. Men are not supposed to lose the ability to get and stay erect as they age. A 90-year old penis has the same ability to get as hard as a 20-year-old’s, if the arteries are clear enough and the veins strong enough to get the blood in there and hold it there. If ED incidence is higher in older men, it’s because the older body has had more time for the blockages to accumulate in the penis.
The chances are therefore very high that this will work for you. It has helped a lot of people all over the world. Men, and the women who love them, or want to love them.
Lynn
Hello Lynn, I love your blog and I think it is a godsend to us men experiencing problems in this area. I do have a few question that I hope you can clear up for me. I like your phrase were you say a 90 year old penis has the same ability to get and stay as hard as a 20 year old penis if the arteries are clear and veins are strong enough. Does this also take into account testosterone levels as well or just clean/clear arteries? I am unsure how testosterone plays a role in erections. I am a 44 yr old male and I started experiencing week erections a few years ago. I had my testosterone checked and it was a little on the low side 236, I am not over weight at all but I did make some life style changes and started eating a little healthier along with some exercise and it came up to about 554 in about 3 months, I was also taking an herbal sex pill that would increase my nitric oxide for about 7 days so I am not sure if it was the pill or the life style changes that was responsible for the raised testosterone so I am not sure if it has dropped again or not since I have stopped taking the sex pill. Recently I started taking the Lecithin, Rutin and Ginkgo Biloba only as you instructed (actually I take around 8 lecithin gelcaps 3 times daily). I have been doing this since June 13 and I think I may have seen some improvement but not sure yet, does the therapy normally take this long? or longer? Also, I noticed that when I ejaculate my semen comes out very thick and slowly oozes out with no force at all where as it use to shoot pretty far back in my younger days, is this a result of low testosterone or clogged arteries? Could you tell me how I can increase my testosterone as well. I don’t want to have to take testosterone therapy because I heard that once started it is for a life time and my body will stop producing any testosterone at all. Basically I just want to know if it is possible to get back to being spontaneouos with my wife life when I was in my younger days. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hi James,
Yes, I have made a lot of men happy with this particular blog, and I’m happy about that. If your semen is coming out thick and slow it is the clogged arteries. It was probably the lifestyle changes that caused your sperm count to go up. Your body needs proper nutrition to do everything, including to get and maintain an erection. At 44 you may be experiencing a drop off in testosterone levels due to hormonal interruption, but that can be fixed.
Eight lecithin 3 times daily is a great dose. Keep that up and make sure you don’t miss a day. Through research I have discovered that lecithin often works the same day it is used, and stops working on any day it isn’t used. It can take a month or longer to clean out the arteries and veins. For you, your penis is the most important area needing cleaning out right now. But your body make be trying to clean out arteries and veins in more important places. (Yes there are more important places.) For instance, perhaps the arteries leading to your heart or brain are clogged. That means your body will send the nutrition to clean that area first, because if your heart goes it won’t matter how hard your penis is. When those important areas are cleaned, your body will redirect the lecithin nutrition to your genitals, so don’t give up.
To increase testosterone I recommend DHEA 5 mg capsules made by Enzymatic Therapy brand only. Take it once a day in the morning before you eat. DHEA is a “parent hormone” produced by the adrenal glands near the kidneys and in the liver. In men, DHEA is also secreted by the testes. DHEA is a precursor to the hormone androstenedione, which is then used by the body to produce both male and female sex hormones, androgen and estrogen, depending on whether a woman or a man is taking it.
I have been using DHEA for about 15 years. It is the main reason that I don’t look my age. It seems to make the body believe that it is at a much earlier state of development. Interestingly, it also keeps your mind young, maybe even a little immature, which can be nice as you watch all the oldsters around you getting grumpy and withdrawn.
Take care, Lynn
Hello Lynn, the DHEA that you suggest for increasing testosterone, do most men normally have to take this for life or is it possible to take long enough to get my levels where they need to be and continue with diet and excercise to maintain those levels for some period of time naturally? Also, once I start taking DHEA will that cause my body to become dependent and stop producing this hormone it I was to stop? And lastly, I have heard horror stories about introducing hormones into the body from outside may cause male pattern baldness, shrunking testicles, etc and just wanted to know if this is true or not? Thanks
Hi James,
DHEA is not an actual hormone but a precursor that instructs your body to make the appropriate doses that you need, be it male or female. I don’t think you have to worry about the side effects that come from actually using hormone replacement therapy.
I’ve always taken it for granted that if I needed a supplement to counter a deficiency that I would always need that particular supplement for that particular deficiency. It makes sense that if you have a deficiency and use a supplement that works, that if you stop said supplement you will get the return of the deficiency. It seems to me that your body has already stopped making enough DHEA and hence the problems you mention. You are in a sense just putting back what your body has already lost. I wouldn’t worry about this if I were you. Even if your body stopped making as much DHEA, it would start up again if you were to stop. Taken properly DHEA can improve your life, and living.
Most men I communicate with are so happy with the results of DHEA that it never occurs to them to stop.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Thank you so much for all your help. I will continue the lecithin treatment and also add the DHEA supplements as well and report back to let you know the results.
Thanks James, and good luck.
Lynn
Hello Lynn, I have another question regarding the DHEA you suggested. I have been taking the DHEA for almost two weeks and I havent really seen a big difference. Do you know when most people normally feel the results? Is it the same day or does it take some time to start raising testosterone levels? I have only been taking (1) 5mg capsule in the morning. I didn’t know if I should increase the dosage or just give it some time. Also, even though I am slim I have some belly fat that I would like to tone up and get rid of. Will the DHEA help in this area as well. Also, will the DHEA intefere with the Ginko/Rutin/Lecithin Therapy. Thanks
Hi James,
Two weeks is long enough at the 5 mg level. When you get it right, you will feel it the same day. You’ll know for sure that something is happening. Move the dosage up to 10 mg, once a day in the morning on an empty stomach. Stay at that level for a week. Then continue upping the dose by 5 mgs each new week. Keep me updated as to how it is affecting you, please. For sure, when you get the dosage right, the weight will drop off on its own.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Thanks Lynn, I will definitely keep you posted.
Okay James. Good luck.
Lynn
Hi Lynn,
I like your idea for the erectile disfunction. It sounds like it might have an impact. I have started taking the gingko and lecithin. But I am a little confused about the amount of lecithin. I am currently only taking one scoop of the lecithin granules. Is that enough? Do I need to take the capsules too? Also, you say to take four tablets of rutin having 500 mg. That would be 2000 mg? Is that right? It sounds like a lot.
I’d also be curious about your thinking about the fact that viagara and cialis work because they supply nitric oxide. And some doctors say that lack of that is the cause of inability to have an erection. Just curious what you think.
Thanks for helping us guys, Lynn.
Best,
Al
Hi Al,
Thanks for writing. I suggest taking more lecithin. It’s a simple food source, inexpensive, easy on the stomach, and it works as an incredible emulsifier. You can’t take too much. It will also clean out your entire arterial system meaning you won’t have to worry about blood clot stroke, angina pain or blocked arteries causing heart attack. You won’t have to worry about senior dementia, lung congestion, etc. Oh, and it also will clean out the arteries of the penis. I suggest you also take the softgels in addition to the granules, which are a good start.
Remember it’s not only important that enough blood get into the penis, it has to be held there until you are finished with your business. Weak vein walls permit the blood to leak out too soon, causing a loss of erection. Rutin strengthens all blood vessels walls, and will help the penis hold onto the blood. 2000 mg is not a large dose. Less won’t work. You have to have strong blood vessel walls to support a strong erection.
In reference ro nitric oxide, don’t be fooled. It wasn’t that long ago that all it was known for was as an air pollutant. Nitric oxide is not a mineral or a vitamin but rather an organic gas that the body creates. It is a combination of nitrogen and oxygen. It causes vasodialtion, which is widening of the muscles of the blood vessels, resulting from relaxation of the muscular wall of the vessels. This permits more blood to flow because there is a larger area in which it can flow.
It’s better to use lecithin which cleans out the blood vessels for all time rather than a product that only temporarily relaxes the blood vessel walls, but leaves them still clogged with plaque.
Plus, nitric oxide has side effects, including headache, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, diarrhea, water retention, dry mouth, skin irritation, wheezing and breathing problems, tremors, hives, asthma, and severe sweating. Lecithin has zero side effects. When it comes to healing the body naturally you want the simplest approach. That’s lecithin.
Lynn.
Hello Lynn, I have a question. I was told that as men get older their blood vessels naturally get hard and don’t dilate and the body stops producing nitric oxide which causes erection issues. Is this really inevitable with aging or can the lecithin keep the blood vessels young and healthy and allow my body to continue to produce a good amount of nitric oxide. I see product all the time on the web claiming to increase nitric oxide with L arginine and l citraline but they are pretty expensive. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Hi James,
Yes Lecithin can keep the blood vessels young and healthy and unclogged. Nitric Oxide acts as a vasodilator, meaning it relaxes the blood vessel itself. But it does nothing to actually unclog the blood vessels, including penile blood vessels. For that you need Lecithin. It may make a marginal difference for ED issues, but to be sure to eliminate ED you need something that actually cleans out the blood vessel and permits unobstructed blood flow in the penis.

Where can you find Puritan’s pride products? At which stores?
Puritan’s Pride is not sold in any stores. They are a manufacturer of food supplements and you order from them directly. Online at puritanspride.com or by telephone 800-645-1030.
I’ve read some other reviews confirming your thoughts on Lecithin — but I’ve also read articles saying that soy decreases testosterone and increases estrogen…seems counter-intuitive. Do you know about this?
Hi JJ,
It’s true that in a woman’s body usage of soy will usually promote estrogen levels. The high use of soy in Japan is why Japanese women suffer milder symptoms during menopause. It does not do the same thing in a man’s body however. Lecithin will not decrease testosterone and increase estrogen levels. Lecithin taken as a food supplement will not affect hormone production in any way whatsoever. I have had people, men and women, take as much as 30 daily for months without any sign of an alteration of hormone production. I am certain of this. Do not let misinformation keep you away from the use of Lecithin, which is good for unblocking all the arteires in the entire system. Lecithin can remove forever your fear of a heart attack, Alzheimer’s, or erectile dysfunction, among many other disorders. As a supplement, Lecithin is one of the top two most important ones.
Thanks for writing,
Lynn
Lynn, Thank you for a very interesting article concerning lecithin and rutin for erectile dysfunction. I’ve tried to lookup further information about this usage, but I can’t seem to find any references. Where are the primary references for using lecithin and rutin for erectile dysfunction? I’d like to read up on it more.
Thank you. Richard
Hi Richard,
I’m afraid you’re not going to find any further information about the usage of lecithin and rutin for erectile dysfunction, because these theories are my own. No one else is saying these things but me. The food supplements are not drugs and will not hurt you. Lecithin breaks up blockages in the penile arteries that prohibit blood flow, while the rutin strengthens the walls of those same arteries, prohibiting blood flow from exiting the penis until the act is over. Both of these problems contribute to ED. For perhaps 90 percent of men suffering from ED, this therapy will work to relieve the condition. I suggest you check the “Supplements Discussed” page to read more on lecithin and rutin on my blog. That is the only place you will see this information referenced.
Lynn.
Are you saying a total of 12 1200 mg softgels each day?
Hi Bob,
Yes, I’m saying take 6, 1200 mg softgels of lecithin daily, as in everyday, for a total of 12, 1200 mg softgels each day. Lecithin comes from soybeans, is a food source, and will not hurt you. You could sit there all day swallowing lecithin softgels without endangering yourself in any way.
Lynn
I am hoping that lecithin can help my erectile dysfunction. I am going to have some tests done soon on my hormone levels but this seems to be something to supplement until I have my test done in a few weeks. Lecithin is also known to help dopamine levels as well which can help erectile dysfuncion. Thank you for this informative article. Also for those who are either allergic and just don’t want soy lecithin, one can purchase sunflower or egg yolk lecithin over the internet. Good Luck.
Thanks for your comment Mike. I’ve never tried sunflower or egg yolk lecithin. I can’t vouch for it therefore, but I’d be interested to hear from anyone who uses this alternative to soy lecithin for any disorder. Does it work as well as soya lecithin? I know that works. Just be sure that the kind of lecithin you use contains a minimum of 61 percent phosphatides. The value of a Lecithin product is determined by the percentage of phosphatides it contains, because they activate the emulsifying process in your body. You may use another kind but make sure it conforms to or exceeds these specifications or it may not work.
Lynn
Hi Gregg,
Do you have the date of the original comment? If you do I’ll see what I can do.
