IT IS THE MOST COMMON CONDITION CAUSING FOOT AND HEEL PAIN

ILLNESS CATEGORY

 Category 2: Inflammation

SUPPLEMENTS NEEDED FOR HEALING & PREVENTING

Beta Carotene & Its Support-Vitamin, D3

Planter fasciitis is inflammation of a tough, fibrous band of tissue called the plantar fascia, which extends along the sole of the foot from the heel bone to the base of the toes.

This band helps support the arch and plays an important role in normal foot function during running, walking, and standing.

Overuse, like with athletes in training or that found in people who have jobs where they have to stand for long hours, causes this band to lose its elasticity and become stiff, non-functioning, and irritated, even with routine daily activities.

Plantar fasciitis is also caused by a sudden increase in physical activity instead of a gradual approach, the kind of surface on which you run or walk or stand, and being overweight—the more weight you carry the more pressure you put on the plantar fascia.

The pain from plantar fasciitis is referred to as “first-step pain,” because it tends to be worse when you wake in the morning, or after other periods of inactivity. Sometimes it can be sudden, but it usually increases gradually, and is typically felt near the heel.

The pain may be more intense when in bare feet or wearing shoes without any real support, like flip flops.

WHAT TO DO ABOUT PLANTAR FASCIITIS

The medical industry has a number of treatments, all of which are pretty ineffectual. They suggest resting the area, icing it, taking OTC pain medication, using a night splint, and wearing orthotic shoes. You can also do special stretches that do little to help.

OR: You can take the recommended “therapeutic” amounts of beta carotene, and vitamin D3, and be completely healed for life in a week to ten days.

To stay healed, you will have to continue taking a lesser dose referred to as a “maintenance” dose. Otherwise the inflammation and foot pain will probably return.

For many people, the biggest problem with taking a large amount of vitamins is that they equate nutrition in pill form with drugs in pill form.

They have trouble accepting that the higher doses of nutrition will not hurt them, just because that nutrition comes in pill form. All pills are not equal.

This kind of thinking is akin to having someone offer you a million dollars that you reject, because you don’t like the outfit they’re wearing.

Food supplements are nothing more than concentrated foodstuffs meant to increase the level of nutrition you receive from your regular diet. They are not drugs. They will not hurt you.

Beta carotene and D3 will not hurt you or interact negatively with any medication you may be taking. They will not harm you anymore than eating a warm biscuit would harm you.

The beta carotene bottle suggests taking one softgel once a day with a meal. This is equivalent to giving a slice of dry toast to a person who hasn’t eaten in a week, and believing they have been well fed with it. Much more is needed.

If you do decide to follow the instruction on the bottle and take only one softgel daily—save your money.

That amount will do nothing to heal plantar fasciitis. Beta carotene cannot, and will not, heal inflammation unless a high enough dosage is taken.

On the other hand, with the correct dosage, beta carotene will eliminate your plantar fasciitis and any other inflammation anywhere in the body.

When you use beta carotene, you are only supplementing your body with additional nutrition, because plantar fasciitis and other inflammatory based disorders are due to a nutritional deficiency. Not enough antioxidants present in the system.

Beta carotene is the best antioxidant on the market and the only one you need.

WHY YOU NEED HIGH DOSES OF BETA CAROTENE TO HEAL PLANTAR FASCIITIS AND OTHER INFLAMMATION

First, your body may have more important uses for beta carotene, other than the one you’re taking it for, since it works on all inflammation throughout the body.

Plantar fasciitis is inflammatory based, but if you do have other inflammation, say in your lungs or kidney or near your heart, your body may decide it needs the beta carotene to fight inflammation more dangerous than a minor ailment like foot pain.

The body will always prioritize the nutrition you give it—sending it to where it is most needed. Meaning, you could take low doses of beta carotene daily for the rest of your life and never get any relief from plantar fasciitis.

HOW INFLAMMATION ARISES

All inflammation begins with free radicals, which can occur for an array of reasons, both internal and external:

Smoking, excessive alcohol use, air pollution, injury, anxiety, making love, industrial chemicals, stress, exposure to X-rays or radiation. Even digesting a meal creates free radicals.

The body is built to withstand a certain amount of free radicals, but when that ceiling is exceeded oxygenation begins.

Oxygenation is a process of decaying—aging—caused by our oxygen atmosphere acting on all biologics. What you might see if you left a peach on the kitchen counter for two weeks in the summer. Or live to be 80 and look in the mirror.

Once oxygenation reaches a critical level of decay, the body responds with inflammation. From there, anything is possible, including plantar fasciitis or any other inflammation based disorder.

FREE RADICALS ARE CREATED AT A CELLULAR LEVEL

When a cell is damaged, the outer cellular boundary is broken, which permits the two electrons inside to leak out. As soon as the electrons escape their cell, they separate and become single electrons, also known as free radicals.

That’s what a free radical is—a single electron that has escaped from its damaged cell’s boundary.

Free radical/single electrons are very unstable. Once they leak out of their cell they attack nearby healthy cells, seeking an electron to pair with, though that is impossible.

Instead, they damage a healthy cell, turning its two escaped electrons into two more free radicals who then attack other cells. And so forth.

This process ultimately leads to oxygenation, inflammation, and inflammatory illness, unless you do something to stop it.

WHY BETA CAROTENE HEALS INFLAMMATION LIKE THAT CAUSING PLANTAR FASCIITIS

For some reason it appears that beta carotene cells seek out free radical/single electrons.

When a roaming free radical/single electron encounters a beta carotene cell it attacks it the same way it does other cells in your body, with one exception:

When the beta carotene cell boundary is broken open by a free radical/single electron, and the beta carotene’s two electrons leak out, they do not become unstable.

A beta carotene single electron does not turn into a free radical, and it will not attack healthy cells. This underlying fact is what gives beta carotene its remarkable healing powers.

Instead, each beta carotene single electron offers itself to the attacking free radical and willingly joins with it, returning it to a normal healthy cellular state with two electrons.

Therefore, each beta carotene cell is capable of converting and thereby eliminating two free radical/single electrons.

This process is carried out one cell at a time, which is why you need high doses of beta carotene to match the high number of free radical/single electrons.

Through this process, any inflammation anywhere in the body can be terminated no matter how serious it may be.

You can be sent home to get your affairs in order with only weeks to live, and this process will still save you from any inflammation. Even if you’re on death’s doorstep.

Due to this “head on, one-to-one” battle between free radical/single electrons and beta carotene cells, the more serious the disorder, the more free radical/single electrons will be present, and the more beta carotene will be needed.

With a serious inflammation like cancer the body is riddled with free radical/single electrons. In a very literal sense, at those times the body is being consumed by them one cell at a time. In other words, free radical/single electrons are eating you alive.

Therefore, the higher the beta carotene dosage the faster will be the healing, because higher amounts of beta carotene kill off more free radical/single electrons faster. And all inflammation is created by free radical/single electrons.

Remember, every free radical needs an electron from a beta carotene cell to return it to good health. So you’re going to need to take a substantial amount.

Also keep in mind that free radical/single electrons are constantly attacking healthy cells, turning them into more free radical/single electrons, exponentially. Even one damaged cell’s two electrons can create thousands more free radicals in a single day.

 RECOMMENDED SUPPLEMENTS

Beta Carotene and Vitamin D3

 RECOMMENDED BRAND AND STRENGTH

Beta Carotene: Puritan’s Pride 25,000 I.U. each, Item No. 1223

Vitamin D3: Puritan’s Pride 10,000 I.U. each, Item No. 17247

DOSAGE SCHEDULE

BETA CAROTENE

Therapeutic Dose: Take a minimum of 65 beta carotene softgels daily. Puritan’s beta carotene softgels are small and several can be swallowed at the same time.

Less than 65 softgels daily will not trigger the healing process sufficiently so as  to completely rid you of plantar fasciitis, because of the exponential growth of free radicals in the area.

You may get some small relief with fewer beta carotene softgels, but you will not completely eliminate the plantar fasciitis without the higher dosage.

The goal is always zero tolerance when seeking to solve a health problem with nutrition. We don’t want to just make it better, we want to completely eliminate the problem and the antioxidant deficiency for all time.

Continue at the recommended daily therapeutic level for 10 days after all symptoms have disappeared. Then drop to a “maintenance” dose. (see below)

You can take all 65 softgels or more at one time, or you can break it up into smaller doses, as long as you reach your daily quota.

Know that 1 or 2 larger doses is best, as free radical/single electrons are constantly being created. The more you kill off at one time, the fewer are left behind to create more. Higher doses will help you get ahead of free radical/single electron production.

Just do the best you can.

You can successfully treat all inflammation disorders in this manner.

Maintenance Dose:

When you have felt no pain from plantar fasciitis for 10 full days, you may decrease your daily intake to 40 softgels. Or you can continue at the therapeutic level.

If your symptoms return when you lower to a maintenance dose, return to a therapeutic dose for as long as it takes to stop the symptoms. It could turn out that you need a therapeutic dose or higher as your maintenance dose.

DOSAGE SCHEDULE

Vitamin D3

For every 10 softgels of beta carotene you take, add 1 softgel of D3, regardless of whether you are taking a therapeutic or maintenance dose of beta carotene. D3 softgels are even smaller than beta carotene softgels.

(Round off the number of beta carotene, so that you take 7 D3 with the 65 softgel therapeutic dosage.)

D3 is a support vitamin for beta carotene, because the body uses it to properly process beta carotene.

Without enough D3, the body will not be able to upload and assimilate beta carotene efficiently, and you will not completely heal.

Plus, if you take large doses of beta carotene without D3, you will end up with a D3 deficiency, which manifests initially as small sores on soft tissue, and wounds that are slow to heal.

 NOTES

Beta carotene is best taken with some food. You don’t need a full meal with each dose, just something substantial enough to help the oil-soluble supplements to digest and be assimilated.

If you take these oil-soluble supplements with just juice or water, they will not be assimilated right away, and you will not feel the healing effects.

As soon as you do eat—the amount you have already taken earlier will kick in and you will start to feel better quickly.

There is a myth that large doses of beta carotene will turn skin color and the whites of the eyes a reddish hue. This is false. What is affected is the color of your poop.

Many people think it’s blood when they first see it. It is not blood, it is beta carotene. It’s fine and nothing to worry about.

Puritans nutritional supplements are recommended, because they are the finest quality and competitively priced. No other beta carotene will work as well. The other brands come in larger form, and it becomes uncomfortable when taking so many.

You do not need a brand of beta carotene that has other vitamins or carotene additives meant to fancy up the supplement. Straight up beta carotene is all you need. In this case, more is not better.

Puritans marketing model is to give 1 free bottle for every 1 bottle purchased. And to give 2 to 4 free bottles for every 2 bottles purchased.

Use these “sales” to get a good amount, because even when the plantar fasciitis is healed and gone, you should continue a daily maintenance dose to prevent its return.

I do not receive any compensation or other benefit from Puritans Pride for recommending their products.
