SUPPLEMENTS NEEDED

L-Creatine, Vitamin C, L-Arginine, Vitamin B12, Collagen Peptides

____________

By now we are all aware that exercise is a good thing. We may hate doing it, but love having done it, because of all the benefits that translate into a longer life with fewer health problems.

EXERCISE HELPS

• Reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and type-2 diabetes.

• Boost bone density, muscle strength, and brain function.

• Strengthen lungs and clean out congestion.

• Decrease lower back pain, stress levels, and insomnia.

• Fight depression and anxiety.

• Increase flexibility and energy levels.

• Improve sex life, digestion, skin health, balance, and posture.

• Control blood pressure and weight.

• Enhance memory and physical appearance.

One down side of exercise is the pain, stiffness, and cramping that can follow a good workout or other physical exertion due to lactic acid building up in the muscles.

WHAT IS LACTIC ACIDOSIS

Lactic acidosis occurs when the body produces too much lactic acid, which is a byproduct of oxygen starvation in muscle tissue, as when you overexert yourself.

When lactic acid builds up high enough that the body’s pH balance becomes acidic, it’s called lactic acidosis.

Lactic acid forms and builds up in muscles under conditions of high energy demand, and an insufficient supply of oxygen for your muscles to burn for their energy needs.

If the body cannot expel enough lactic acid as you work out, it builds up in your muscles, resulting in an “overdose,” sometimes felt as pain, stiffness, soreness, and cramps.

Athletic competitions are won or lost on just tenths of a point. Lactic acid can impede performance and prevent you from doing your maximum best, and winning the gold. It is wise to have a plan to combat lactic acid formation and removal.

HOW LACTIC ACID FORMS

Lactic acid is a natural byproduct of cellular metabolism. If you do a sudden sprint to escape a downpour, your muscles use creatine stores to access ATP (adenosine triphosphate).

ATP is what the body uses to transport energy to where it’s most needed. All that’s required for this creatine transport via the ATP highway is the presence of oxygen in the muscle.

However, if the sprint turns into a run, the body’s demand for energy will become more than oxygen and creatine can manage. At that point, the body looks to stored glucose, sugar, to burn for its energy needs.

Glucose uptake doesn’t require the presence of oxygen or creatine. Once the muscles stop burning oxygen and start burning sugar stores, lactic acid is created as a toxic byproduct.

Muscles turn to burning sugar when in need of immediate energy that can’t be supplied by oxygen, as when there is none left in the muscle. Glucose is an emergency energy-backup system, but it causes lactic acid to form and buildup.

When stored glucose runs out, the body returns to oxygen, which is why physical exertion requires you to breathe so hard.

The food supplements referenced here will help speed up the expulsion of lactic acid and thereby lessen its retention and the ensuing stiffness and cramps felt by most people.

 RECOMMENDED SUPPLEMENTS

L-Creatine, Vitamin C, L-Arginine, Vitamin B12, Collagen Peptides

 RECOMMENDED BRANDS AND STRENGTH

1. L-Creatine: Puritan’s Pride, 1000 mg, Item #19462

This amino acid is used by the muscle to access ATP, which is what the body uses to transport energy to where it’s most needed. This will delay your body turning to glucose for energy, and help avoid the results of lactic acid buildup.

Take 2 capsules twice daily, at breakfast and dinner.

2. Vitamin C-1000 Complex: Puritan’s Pride, 1000+ mg, Item #3140

This vitamin is very important in increasing the expulsion of lactic acid out of muscle tissue.

Take 2 tablets twice daily, at breakfast and dinner.

3. L-Arginine: Puritan’s Pride, 1000 mg, Item #50880

This amino acid increases the expulsion of lactic acid out of muscle tissue.

Take 2 capsules twice daily, at breakfast and dinner.

 4. Vitamin B12: Puritan’s Pride, 2500 mcg, sublingual, Item #3861

This vitamin increases the amount of oxygen in red blood cells and muscles.

Take 2 tablets daily, at breakfast and dinner.

↘Note: If this dose gives you too much energy to sleep well, either cut the dinner dose to one tablet, or eliminate it altogether.

5. Collagen Peptides: Live Conscious.com

This is a powder containing 19 amino acids to maintain a proper balance in your system. Collagen is the primary building block of your body’s skin, muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments, and other connective tissues. It’s also found in your organs, blood vessels and intestinal lining.

Take one dipper full as directed, once daily.
