THIS WILL WORK FOR ALL ALLERGIES AND SHOULD BE TAKEN REGULARLY, YEAR ROUND, EVEN WHEN YOU’RE HAVING NO SYMPTOMS
CATEGORY: 4: Auto Immune Type
RECOMMENDED SUPPLEMENTS: Monavie Active or Supplement Therapy
Definition: Allergen: This is any normally harmless substance that causes an allergic reaction in someone. Others may suffer from the same allergen as you, or it may affect only you. The root cause is the same however, a malfunctioning immune system. |
This is the season of misery for many allergy sufferers, whose allergen is pollen that causes hay fever. But all sorts of allergens negatively impact people’s health and happiness year round. The list of them is growing in step with our hyper sensitivity to more and more normally harmless things around us. It’s as if we were becoming allergic to the very environment itself. And when you examine the expanding list of allergens, it actually seems as though that’s the case.
ALLERGY OVERVIEW
Allergies arise from two causes: Genetics, what you inherit from your family; and Environment, what you come into contact with as you live your life.
The genetic factor: It is believed that while specific allergies are not usually inherited, if both parents have allergies their children will probably have them too, just different ones. The probability of allergies in the offspring increases if it’s the mother who has the problem. Meaning, you won’t necessarily inherit the same allergies as your parents, just the propensity to develop allergies generally. This is true because an impaired immune system is subject to many different allergies, as well as, other disorders.
This ties into what I’ve been saying about seemingly inherited disorders actually being a function of a poor diet that’s simply passed on to succeeding generations, along with the attendant deficiencies. And it’s worse if Mom has the allergy only because it’s usually she who makes the choices about food purchases and preparation. So if Mom’s family diet is giving her allergies, it will probably give them to you as well if you’re eating her cooking. Because Mom’s family diet is missing a nutrient necessary to avoid allergies. You don’t inherit bad genes, just bad eating habits.
The environmental factor: The short list of normally innocuous allergens now includes the more common ones like grass, weed, tree, and flower pollen; but also mold fungi, house dust and bacterial dust mites; pet dander, especially from cats, dogs, and birds; insect bites from bees and wasps, as well as simply living in close proximity to other insects like cockroaches; lotions and soaps; make-up and every cosmetic and perfume; plants including poison ivy, poison oak, and sumac; jewelry and latex; medicines like penicillin and antibiotics; and even sunlight.
Some of the more serious allergens are food based ones like peanut, shell fish and wheat—not to be confused with celiac disease that causes a sensitivity to the gluten found in wheat. There have even been rare cases of one person being allergic to another, where the body actually perceives the other person as an allergen.
ALLERGIES ARISE FROM THE OVERREACTIONS OF A NERVOUS AND HYPER SENSITIVE IMMUNE SYSTEM
The increased sensitivity to these normally harmless substances is occurring because our immune systems are underfed, and made weak by this lack of nutrition. We then pass on the poor diet habits and immune weakness to our progeny, making them more susceptible to immune related problems, like allergies. Despite the long, varied, and growing list of allergens, all allergies are truly caused by an overly sensitive immune system. It reacts when it’s not supposed to. That’s why I categorize allergies as Auto Immune Type. Though they are not strictly considered an auto immune disorder, they do result from an inappropriate response from the immune system. If you can stop the inappropriate response, you can stop allergies.
The immune system can be compared to two personality types in humans. There is a type of person who remains calm under pressure, who never raises his voice, who varies his methods as necessary to deal with new crises without getting flustered. He would never lose his cool and do something inappropriate. Let’s call him Andy. We all know someone like this and admire that grace under pressure they possess.
But there is another type of person who gets upset at the slightest thing, who has trouble sleeping, who jumps at every noise, and is always over anxious. Anything can set him off, and he’s known to cry at the slightest frustration or bad news. Let’s call him Bob. We also all know someone like this and usually can’t wait to get away from them, because their anxiety can be draining.
These two personality types can also describe two types of immune systems. Andy represents a stable, healthy one that doesn’t mistake harmless substances as potentially dangerous allergens. When Andy kicks in it is to respond to a real emergency. Bob represents a hyper sensitive immune system that has a hair trigger, and will send out t-cells and antihistamines, to cause inflammation at the slightest disturbance. Bob’s hand is always hovering over the red “go” button.
Ordinarily, it’s the immune system’s job to protect your body against truly harmful substances, like viruses, pollution, bacteria and subsequent infection. Unfortunately, an over anxious immune system like Bob will wrongly react to benign substances and treat them like allergens. When this happens, Bob goes into full lock down and sends out all the troops to fight . . . what? An imaginary foe, a ghost, a daydream, something that isn’t really there. At that point, the system has become disabled, has lost the ability to tell friend from foe. In so doing, it makes you suffer needlessly. And the restrictions that allergies place on you! You can’t eat this, you can’t drink that, can’t smell this, can’t touch whatever, can’t go to that place! But if you feed the immune system it can and will recover.
People who suffer from allergies can choose from a large menu of miseries, including:
headache
swollen, red, itchy, watery eyes
serial sneezing
runny or stuffy nose
post nasal drip
itchy skin around nose and mouth
itchiness inside ear canal
ringing or buzzing in the ears
inner ear swelling leading to dizziness and vertigo
mental confusion
throat tickling
coughing
sore throat
asthma attack
respiratory swelling that narrows airways and threatens breathing
extra mucous production
lung congestion
wheezing
itchy skin on body
eczema (rough, inflamed, blistered and sometimes bleeding skin)
hives
skin rashes
blisters
skin peeling
stomach cramps
nausea
bloating
abdominal cramps
diarrhea
vomiting
plus others specific to an individual
It is the level of the immune reaction to an allergen that determines whether you have an allergic response that passes quickly or one that threatens your life. A mild attack of any of these symptoms would be annoying, but something you could forget about once it was over. Bump these same symptoms up from mild to moderate and you might be more concerned and looking for some over the counter relief.
But if some of them rise to severe they can threaten your life. This situation is referred to as anaphylaxis, a condition where the immune system’s response to an allergen is violent and immediate, affecting the entire body. If the symptom involves swelling of the respiratory track it can prevent breathing. In that case, if you don’t get a shot of epinephrine (adrenaline) immediately, you may die from lack of oxygen. There are a lot of good reasons to try to prevent allergies.
WHAT HAPPENS INSIDE TO CAUSE AN ALLERGIC REACTION
Let’s say that you’re taking a walk through a flower garden one morning, when suddenly the back of your throat begins to itch and tighten up, making you cough. At the same time your eyes start to itch and your nose begins discharging mucus. Your hyper sensitive immune system, Bob, has overreacted to a harmless substance, flower pollen, interpreting it as an enemy element. In response, and wrongly thinking it is under attack, the immune system activates and releases defense troops by way of white blood cells, resulting in an extreme inflammatory response.
Part of this inflammatory response includes producing unnecessary antibodies to ward off the imaginary enemy allergen. In turn, the antibodies cause chemicals—histamines—to be released into the bloodstream. The histamines are what actually cause the symptomatic itching, sneezing, swelling of affected tissues, and other symptoms that characterizes an inflammatory allergic response.
THE CORRECT THERAPY CAN STOP AND CONTROL ALL ALLERGIES
The therapies discussed here will calm down an over anxious immune system, and stop Bob from reacting to inherently harmless things that will not hurt you, like pollen, house dust, shellfish, or latex. It will also stop and control for all time any allergy your body can dream up.
USING MONAVIE ACTIVE
You can drink Monavie Active twice daily and do nothing else, and your allergies will end. Doing this will cost about $100 a month. A lot of us can’t afford that amount in this economy. If so, you can take a less expensive combination of supplements to control your allergies. The supplement therapy follows the Monavie chart.
Fighting Allergies Using Monavie Active Quick Glance Chart | ||||
Supplement | Breakfast | Dinner | Brand | Strength |
Monavie Active | 2 ounces | 2 ounces | Monavie Active | NA |
Monavie is dense and delicious, a combination of 19 fruit juices with acai berry as its main component. It appears to have silt and sediment in it. Make sure you shake it well, but do not discard anything that comes out of the bottle. Consume everything, tiny chunks, silt, etc. Try to take it first thing in the morning when you wake up, and about 20 minutes before you eat dinner. Some people prefer to take the second dose right before they go to bed, saying it also helps them sleep better. Whatever else it does, nothing works better on immune problems than Monavie Active. |
USING FOOD SUPPLEMENTS
The supplement therapy centers on Bee Pollen. Think of it as the immune system’s favorite solid food. It loves Bee Pollen, can’t get enough, and will return to good health if it is fed sufficient quantities of it. Regardless of your trigger allergen—the substance or thing that causes your particular allergy response—Bee Pollen will treat the root problem in the immune system and calm it down, stop it from over reacting to nothing.
It sounds counterintuitive, I know. You’re thinking that if pollen is your trigger allergen, how can taking more bee pollen help the situation. For one thing, bees secrete a substance on the pollen they collect, making it sticky to ensure they won’t drop it on their way back to the hive. Plus, the pollen that bees collect is from many varied flowers and plants. So Bee Pollen in supplement form is not strictly the same pollen you encounter on your walk among the flowers. Whatever that substance is that’s added by the bees helps us control allergies.
Inflammation is also part of an allergic reaction, which is why Beta Carotene is recommended. (Please see Blog 3: The Danger of Inflammation for more on this subject.) Vitamin D3 supports Beta Carotene in its inflammation fighting function. And Lecithin is recommended to clear up lung congestion and the extra mucous production that often accompanies an allergic response.
Once your allergy is under control, meaning you have been symptom free for at least two weeks, you can stop everything except Bee Pollen. But if you’re not taking Monavie Active, then Bee Pollen must be your minimum front line of defense against allergies, if you want to prevent them without prescriptions. Take Bee Pollen daily, and you’ll forget that you even have allergies. But the minute you stop taking Bee Pollen, or Monavie Active if you decide on it, your allergy will return with full effects.

NOTES
► It is important to make either Monavie Active or Bee Pollen a daily and regular part of your diet, even when you are not having allergy symptoms, or when it isn’t your “season” for allergies. The idea is to move the immune system into a state of calm and keep it there. It will be a stronger immune system and will do a better job of protecting your body against all sorts of ailments, including allergies.
► If you take Beta Carotene without also taking Vitamin D, you will deplete your stores of Vitamin D and develop a Vitamin D deficiency. It usually manifests as sores on the inside of the mouth. Always take Vitamin D when you take Beta Carotene.
► Vitamin D3 is recommended because it more closely replicates the Vitamin D made naturally on your skin from contact with the sun. But if you can’t find D3, take straight Vitamin D.
► I have recommended Puritan’s Pride brand because their Lecithin is from soybeans only, and contains a minimum of 70 mg of phosphatides in each 1200 mg softgel, equivalent to 61 percent phosphatides. The value of a Lecithin product is determined by the percentage of phosphatides it contains, because they activate the emulsifying process in your body. You may use another brand, but make sure it conforms to or exceeds these specifications or it will not work.

Hi Lynn, I want to thank you for the incredible information you have provided on various ailments and health issues. I want to draw your attention towards a very common problem inflicting thousands of men; Estrogen Dominance…Gynecomastea. Can you suggest any supplements or suggestions for that?
Thanks,

Hi Raj,
I would try DHEA, 5 mg capsules, Enzymatic Therapy Brand of “Youthful You.” Or another “pharmaceutical grade” brand of DHEA, though I trust Exzymatic Therapy the most. Start small with one capsule each morning on an empty stomach. See what it does for a week, and increase slowly if you don’t get improvement. For some people to balance their hormonal output it can take as much as 50 mg to 100 mg per day. It can also take only a portion of the 5 mg capsule. Also beware, taking DHEA to regulate appropriate hormonal output isn’t the same as taking Beta Carotene for inflammation, or Vitamin C for a cold. I can’t just designate a specific amount that you can stick to no matter what. Your natural production of hormones is particular to your body, and when they are balanced will vary from day to day or hour to hour, depending upon what else is happening to your body at the time. So if you take a certain dose and notice an improvement, that doesn’t mean that that specific dose will always do the same thing for you. However, by experimenting slowly over time you will find a range of doses that work for you, and will be able to stay within them to achieve the results you want. Let me know how it goes, and thanks for subscribing to my blog. Please spread the word to your friends and family as well.
One more thing: stay away from soy and soybeans in any form: no tofu, no protein shakes, no vegetarian burgers, no edamame snacks, etc.
Thanks for writing, Lynn.
Lynn,
Great post as usual. I have allergic reactions to any citrus food or acidic food. I get sores on my gums and tongue (canker sores) when I eat fruits, sauces, etc. When I stay away from that I am fine. I am thinking that reaction is an overactive immune response. So I wanted to try Bee Pollen Complex from Puritans to see if it helps. But Puritans no longer makes that. When I go to their website, nothing like that exists. Do you know o any other brand that is similar?
The Vitamin Shoppe brand has 1000mg Bee Pollen (same as Puritans) but only 5mg of Bee Propolis (less than Puritans). Will that make a difference in its effectiveness? Thanks…John
Hi John,
Glad you enjoyed the post. It’s hard to find Bee Pollen anywhere because the bee population is dwindling. It is a real concern and crisis because of our ecosystem’s dependence on bees for our food growth. They’re dying off and we can’t figure out why. It’s only going to get harder to buy it. I would try the Vitamin Shoppe brand even though the propolis level is lower. I recommend bee complex for balance sake, but bee pollen alone will strengthen the immune system and stop it overreacting.
But I’m not certain that your reaction is an auto-immune one. It could be that your system is too acidic, so that the slightest bit of acid sets off the reaction. I suggest you try to balance your system by adding a calcium supplement, which will pull you back from the acidic zone. If simply eating fruit causes the tongue sores it sounds like you need an alkaline balance. I use Chelated Calcium Magnesium by Puritan’s Pride, Product #4082. Each tablet provides 500 mg of calcium and 250 mg of magnesium, a perfect two-to-one balance. Take two twice daily, morning and evening. Then see if you can enjoy fruit without the reaction, or if it is indeed an immune problem.
Thanks for writing,
Lynn
Hi again Lynn,
I’ve read a lot of your blog and am appreciating the insights; I’m noticing someone else brought up Crohn’s. I was looking at the inflammation entry and the allergies entry for some clues to possible supplements that would be beneficial to try with ulcerative colitis (UC).
My daughter (age 10, but very petite due to malabsorption issues) has had UC since age 2; we’ve tried many, many supplements — but not things like beta carotene or bee pollen in quantity (tried propolis and royal jelly, though, without effect). Her hair is also very thin compared to her siblings and she is pale (was considering following the child dosage example on the b-vitamins for the hair).
My question pertains to the dosage suggestions for allergy/inflammation supplements like beta carotene and bee pollen — is this an adult dosage suggestion or is it not age/weight dependent but rather supplemental nutritional medicine for a condition, whether that condition is in a young child or adult? I do not want to over-do it but would love to know how to size down on these supplements if need be. Maybe half of the recommended quantity/strength?
What’s interesting is that earlier this year she responded very well in appetite and colitis symptoms immediately once I tried grinding up dried organic dandelion leaves and putting them in capsules for her. However, after a couple weeks the effect wore off, which was very frustrating for us; when I told her GI doc, he surmised that there is an allergy-type condition that causes relapse in symptoms after an initially favorable response to a supplement. It would not be the first time that has happened with her colitis, either. So the allergy-type action in IBD is not surprising.
Regards,
~Elizabeth
Hi Elizabeth,
How sad for your little girl. She’s been through a lot, but there is no reason for that to continue. You’re right, Ulcerative Colitis has the double component of the immune system triggering an attack in the colon, which then causes inflammation. This process happens all over the body, e.g., asthma has the same steps of first an immune system attack that results in inflammation, but it occurs in the lungs. Ulcerative colitis is an inflammation gone mad, and what worse place than the colon where it naturally interrupts normal digestion. The good news is that it has only those two components, auto immune and inflammation. And if you stop the inappropriate immune reaction, the inflammation will disappear too.
I think a 10-yr. old can take an adult dose but I would break it up into 3 daily doses instead of just 2. The best way to make sure a child is getting enough of a supplement without going over their own individual limits is to start small. (If the inflammation were anywhere but her colon I would suggest using Monavie Active. Nothing works better on the immune system. But I’m afraid the acids in the juice might bother her raw colon as they pass through.) For that reason you have to use Bee Pollen for the immune system in the beginning. When she is better you can switch to Monavie Active to prevent the return of the problem.
Start with 1000 mg tablet Bee Pollen (or equivalent in bee pollen pellets), and take one tablet three times daily for the first week. Increase to 2 tablets, three times daily and stay there for one more week. For the third week, increase to 3 tablets, three times daily and keep it there for the next several months as a maintenance dose. 9000 mg per day is not a lot; it’s only nutrition and won’t hurt your daughter. Use Bee Pollen pellets if you can’t find it in tablet form.
At the same time give her Beta Carotene, 10 softgels of 25,000 IU strength, 3 times daily, and hold it there for a month. If she is still in discomfort at the end of the month, increase to 15 softgels, 3 times daily, and leave it there for several months as a maintenance dose. Don’t forget to give her 2 softgels of Vitamin D3, 2000 mg strength with each dose of Beta Carotene, as a support vitamin.
You should aim for zero tolerance, which is possible. It’s not enough that she gets a little better. As long as she has discomfort and other evidence of colitis, feel free to increase her doses the way I’ve described here until she is completely better. (It’s like her body is telling you it’s still hungry.) Whatever dose that happens on should be her maintenance dose. She can’t ever stop taking these supplements or the problem will return, because it is based on malnutrition which you are correcting with the supplements.
This will work. Just give it time and remember it’s only nutrition. Keep in mind that if you “overdo” the dose, the reaction will be mild or go unnoticed while her body throws off what it can’t use. There are no reactions to taking too much Bee Pollen. For Beta Carotene one might get a slight headache for a couple of hours.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hi Lynn, This is very helpful and I will get the supplements to try with my daughter right away. I am curious about beta carotene and guess I just need to be educated on it; knowing vitamin A is fat soluble and you shouldn’t get “too much”, I was concerned about the amounts of beta carotene, but found this:
” Beta-carotene is fat soluble, but does not accumulate in the body to toxic levels like vitamin A can.”
So in other words, is it true that her body will use what it wants to convert to vitamin A but the doses you suggest will not create toxic levels of vitamin A?
It’s complicated Elizabeth.
Yes her body will slough off what it can’t use. No, there is NO DANGER in giving her large doses of Beta Carotene. The idea that it is toxic is an old one and a wrong one. Inflammation comes from free radicals, millions of them. Each cell of BC can neutralize one free radical cell. But if there are millions of free radicals causing inflammation, then you need millions of cells of BC to counteract it. Without the large doses she will never get better. Never.
Check the index and read everything pertaining to inflammation, and you will get the education you need on Beta Carotene so that you can help your daughter.
Lynn
Hello I love your stuff. But im a bit sceptical about this one, since I have both Crohn’s and Celiacs deasease. Will this pattern shown above really help me remove both the allergies and eat food like before, curing my gluten intolerance symptoms??
Hi there,
Chron’s is a chronic inflammation; for that you need Beta Crotene and it’s support vitamin D3. Read the Dangers of Inflammation Blog for that. Celiac will be helped and can be eliminated by the allergy formula, especially Monavie Active, if you can afford it. Otherwise, use the supplements, Bee Pollen, etc. But let’s be clear, you can absolutely get rid of your gluten intolerance and eat whatever you want whenever you want. It may take some time because your intestines are really traumatized right now. But you need to work on it in a dedicated fashion because your colon is ripe for cancer to set in, with all that inflammation present. So you have a combination of inflammation and allergic reaction. I didn’t read that Celiac is strictly an allergy, just that certain proteins trigger a reaction. That may all be due to inflammation since you do have Chron’s. So work hard on getting plenty of Beta Carotene; that may be the answer to both. Let me know how it goes.

Hello, thank you for your kind reply!
I actually dont want to eat anything I want anyway, because I’m into bodybuilding. All I want is to gain my weight back faster, but it seems its not happening and I’ve done everything possible for 2 months after the diagnose. I’m eating just the foods allowed in the SCD (only low carb foods, meat, olive oil etc), all healthy stuff and I dont mind doing it for ages, but I just want to recover my guts faster, because being 67 kilograms and 190 centimitres tall is kinda frustrating. Used to look great before I went gluten free.
Anyway, I’m starting your erectile disfunction treatment now, since the celiac desease probably messed up that also, because I cannot really maintain an erection for months now and things used to be great down there, 2-3 years ago. And I’m just 23. Hope the ED system you have posted works. Thing is i cannot take the Soy lecithin powder, because of my deseases, but I thought I might use the sunflower one from NOW.http://www.nowfoods.com/Sunflower-Lecithin-1200mg-Soy-Free-Non-GMO-100-Softgels.htm This one. But its doses are a bit lower, so should I make the pills to 9 breakfast and 9 evening? Also, will it work without the Granules lecithin you have given as second in the chart? Rutin and Gingko Biloba I think I can find.
What would you suggest for me, besides the beta caroten and d3 for faster recovery from the Celiac and Crohns? Also, since I really want my weight back fast, but in a healthy way. And obviously my guts ain’t receiving all the nutrition from my food intake yet. My Crohn’s is really mild, like not strong at all, its just the Celiac desease mainly.
And last question (sorry about so many, but I have so many questions and so few answers lately, but im really interested in all this stuff and probably became more educated than anyone in this sphere who is not profesional:) Is it possible that my celiacs or nutrition difficiencies over time caused my ED in the last half year? I really had great erections before and when things didn’t work out I just used cialis or some of the mainstream drugs and I could hold for hours and hours. But now its just not strong at all. It can’t be some nervous system nerv hurt, yes? because I really hope its a blood clot as in your post for ED and the lecithin will fix it.
It’s just that from all the “getting around” in my life with various girls that are not worth it, I finally found my real love and I cannot perform in bed, as I used to with the people who didn’t deserve it. In fact I cannot perform at all, because my body doesnt give me, but my souls wants it so much. Wow this really became a long post.
Sorry, hope to hear from you soon 🙂
Hi there,
Take a deep breath. All of your problems can be fixed with nutrition. The Beta Carotene and D3 is for the Crohn’s which is a chronic inflammation in the intestines. Celiac is an auto-immune disorder that causes a hypersensitivity in the intestines, and for that you need either Monavie Active, 2 or more ozs twice daily, or if the expense is prohibitive, then you need plenty of Bee Pollen to calm down your immune system and stop it from attacking your intestines. Neither the Crohn’s or Celiac caused your ED, which is caused by a blockage in the penile arteries. Your problem is that you are severely malnutriated after years of neglect of your body. You have to take the supplements that concern the category of each of your three problems. Category I: Simple Malnutrition, Category II: Inflammation, and Category III: Blockage. Have you read Blog 30: The Seven Categories of Illness, just published?
Ask your new partner to be patient. Order the Rutin, and Gingko Biloba, and keep taking the Lecithin. You’ll get your sex life back and will make her very happy. Yes you can substitute the sunflower Lecithin, and it’s a good idea to up the dosage to 9 twice daily, as they are not as strong.
Thanks for writing, Lynn
Hello, it’s me again.
I started using the ED treatment you had posted and I’m very satisfied with it! But for the bee pollen: Is it posible that there is gluten (the ingredient that I’m alergic to) in the bee pollen? Since bees can land on various stuff and so, will taking bee pollen actually help my allergy, because even the small ammounts of gluten really worsen my condition 😦
Hi there,
I know it’s counter-intuitive that bee pollen causes allergic reactions, yet I’m recommending it to stop those same reactions. Nevertheless, it is the second best treatment for auto immune problems after Monavie Active. It calms down the immune system and stops it from over reacting to simple harmless substances, like wheat gluten. No, I don’t think that bee pollen will worsen your gluten problem. On the contrary, I’m telling you that taken correctly, it can stop the problem of an over sensitive gut. I don’t know how old you are, but these kinds of conditions worsen with age. If this works for you, you can go back to a more normal, fun, but healthy diet. Eating and enjoying food is one of our main pleasures while on Earth. (Yes, yes I know…there are wonderful gluten free diets out there, and you’re having a ball sticking to them.) Let me know how it works please.
Lynn
I must say that this is one of the most well documented health blogs I’ve ever seen.
I have an allergy to aspirin; if I take one I should just go to the hospital then and avoid the unpleasentness that is to follow. Anyway, as a bonus to the aspirin allergy I have persistent nasal polyps that have been surgically removed at least 7 times (Sampter’s Triad). These polyps grow over my smell receptors causing me to have no sense of smell for over 12 years (When they do the surgery I can usually smell for a month or so before they grow back). I have tried all sorts of stuff to minimize the effects of the polyps but to no avail.
I read your posting on Erectile Dysfunction because I also suffer with that and started following your proposed treatment with Lecithin and Ginko Biloba. (I also added a male multi-vitamin and a megadose of B-Complex) Yes, my ED issues are improving, but the real shocker is that I can smell for the first time in 12 years. Now, I don’t know what it is I am smelling or if it is a good smell or a bad smell because I have forgotten what things smell like (imagine a blind man gets his sight back and you hold up a blue dot and ask him what color it is….no point of reference), but at least I can detect odors now and breath effortlessly through my nose. I’m not sure if there has been any studies done on the Lecithin (I think that is the main player here) and polyps, but it would be interesting to see.
Thanks again…..I’ll be reading more of your posts later.
Hi Brian,
What a great comment! You have touched on an important concept behind my theories. There are only seven things that can go wrong with the human body. I am planning on writing an essay on this topic in the future, but since you’ve stumbled on it by yourself, I want to take the time to enlighten you here. You are correct that Lecithin is what has improved both conditions, because both conditions stem from the same problem, a blockage.
The seven categories are:
Category 1: Simple Malnutrition
Category 2: Inflammation
Category 3: Blockage
Category 4: Excess Toxicity
Category 5: Auto-Immune
Category 6: Viruses
Category 7: Hormonal Malfunction
That’s it. No matter what disorder or disease you contract, I can treat it by placing it in one of these seven categories, sometimes more than one for diseases like asthma. You can have a bunch of things wrong but they are all usually separate manifestations of a single category disorder. You seem to have a lot of problems with Category 3: Blockages. That is what causes the ED and the nose polyps. I’m willing to bet that you may also have other problems that stem from this same source.
Lecithin is an incredible emulsifier that breaks up blockages in your arteries, joints, heart, lungs, penis, liver, brain, sinuses and other places. It breaks up cholesterol and removes it from the body. It lowers high blood pressure, another blockage. It will break up a kidney stone or a gall stone and remove the organic debris from your body. If you read the Page on “Supplements Discussed” and check out the blogs that feature the use of Lecithin, you’ll be amazed at all the disorders caused by a simple blockage.
If you continue to take Lecithin regularly, everyday, your polyps will never return, neither will the ED. You’ll also be protected against other disorders like Alzheimer’s and heart disease—both caused by blockages. I also want to suggest that you add Beta Carotene as a regular supplement along with the Lecithin, since inflammation usually accompanies the polyps. Buy 25,000 I.U. softgels only. Take 10 with breakfast and 10 with dinner.
Regarding your aspirin allergy. If you don’t have the polyps you don’t need to take aspirin, right? You can take ibuprophen or something else for pain, right? Otherwise, if you have to keep taking aspirin for any reason, follow the instructions in the Allergy Blog to avoid a bad reaction.
Thanks for writing, and please keep reading. Tell you friends too.

Hi Taylor,
I’m glad you’re finding the information on my blog useful. Here are the answers to your questions:
1. If you’re treating more than one condition with the same supplement, but the recommended dosages differ, you should follow the larger dose recommendation. The presumption being that the larger dose is aimed at a more serious condition, which will not get better if you take the smaller of the conflicting dosage recommendations. But the lesser disorder will be treated properly as well by the larger dose. So, always select the larger dose if there is a conflict regarding instructions for separate disorders.
2. While it’s true that Calcium and Magnesium work better in your body if you take them with Vitamin D, Vitamin D won’t cause a Magnesium deficiency, especially at the low doses you’re taking. It sounds like you just have gas, which can be excruciating to the point that it bends you over at the waist with pain. Many supplements are known to cause gas in the lower intestines when not taken properly, including, B Complex, C, D, and others.
I recommend that you take your supplements with some food, or at least with a liquid with some substance to it like tomato juice, orange juice, or milk. Never take supplements with water alone unless you have just finished a meal. If this doesn’t work to stop any gas and subsequent abdominal pain, then you should start using Activated Charcoal Capsules, and take 1-3 at the same time as the vitamins. It will absorb the gas created as the supplements move through your digestive system. If 1-3 isn’t enough, take as much as you need to get relief.
Also, I hope after reading the Allergies Blog you will realize that there are a lot better things to fight allergies with than Vitamin D.
Hope this helps. Lynn.
I’m finding your information very useful. I have two questions. If I want to help multiple problems (allergies, cancer-preventative, etc), how do I combine them when some will have the same supplements with different dosages? Also, during the winter I started to use vitamin c (1000mg) and vitamin d (2000 IU) and began having awful lower stomach cramping, so I stopped using the vitamin c because I really wanted to keep using the vitamin d because of what I heard about it helping allergies (and my allergies did seem to go away!). But the cramping persisted and the night I stopped using the vitamin d, the cramping stopped. SO, does this mean I just need a lower dosage or is it possible that the vitamin d was giving me a magnesium deficiency (I’ve read this is what causes cramping when taking vitamin d). Sorry this was so long, thank you!
